DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE!!!! McDonald's would be a better alternative. I just picked up two subs. They are over $30. One was a meatball sub with Costco meatballs in it COSTCO MEATBALLS!!!. It was disgusting and dry and then I ordered a chicken Parm sub. The chicken is old and dry, and they threw some sauce on it. Neither one of these subs are edible. It should've been a red flag to me that I picked it up at 1 o'clock and the place was completely empty at lunchtime. I don't know how long this place has been a business but obviously they fallen on hard times and figure they can cut corners and serve people garbage. I'm lucky I took apart the chicken before I got nauseous. It didn't smell right or taste right. I called the owner. All he said was I'm sorry about the experience. and the meatballs are from our wholesaler. Can you believe it? They can't make a meatball!!--well, that's certainly standing up for your establishment no offer of replacement ( not that I would have taken it )and trying to keep the customer happy-- so it is my duty to tell people, please do not go to this place if you value your health at all

Vinny's Pizza is a neighborhood joint that offers decent pizza with both indoor and outdoor seating. The restaurant is also BYOB, so feel free to bring some drinks to enjoy with your food. I ordered a plain slice and a Sicilian. The plain had a crispy base with a sauce that tastes wonderful. The slice also features a pleasant, fluffy crust. The Sicilian could benefit from more sauce, but overall has a nice, crunchy crisp to the base and crust, with a fluffy interior.

I stopped into Vinny's for the first time this past weekend since I was in the area. I went with a simple order of a plain slice for dining in & a full size chicken parmigiana sandwich to go. I was told by the guy at the counter to have a seat in the dining area & they'd let me know when the food was ready. I liked the fashionable, yet simple interior (4/5) with nice tablecloth on the tables & great color motif on the walls. I patiently waited for over 20 minutes when no food came out...eventually, a different guy from the kitchen approached me to ask if I had ordered something, mentioning that the system had been losing orders lately. I wasn't in a rush, so I didn't mind as I chalked it up as a simple mistake/oversight, but still not a very good first impression. The pizza slice (3/5) was decent...the base was crisp how I like it and the crust tasty, but the cheese itself was lacking a little something in flavor. The chicken parmigiana (2.5/5) was ok, with some chewy parts of the chicken which I wound up spitting out, with bread, sauce, and chicken being merely average taste-wise. The sandwich was supposed to be a full sandwich & to go, but I only got a half sandwich for dine in, which most likely tied in with whatever issue they had earlier when I had placed the order. The overall service (3/5) was super friendly thanks to the guy who came to check up on me to ask if I had ordered something, despite the order getting lost. In the end, what was supposed to be a quick lunch turned out to be much longer than anticipated, with food being mediocre and unmemorable for a Central NJ pizza joint.

    chicken wings and a pizza

Really good pizza- just a bit pricey. Would be there a lot more if it was a bit cheaper. But overall, good food even heated up the next day!!

    Delicious tuna salad sub :)

Their pizza is *lip smack*. Especially the specialty pizzas. The molé pizza hit some other nerve and it was like sparks in the sky.

The only good thing about vinnie's is it's convenience to where I live. Time and time again I'll order from vinnie's and I'm disappointed.

Naturally, there was a new store glitch with the CC machine so I ordered online while in the store. And have ordered on the app since then just to have my sandwich ready or near ready when I get to the store. No issues for me & they have a frequent purchase program when you sign up. I have ordered the Classic Chicken club twice, the American Wagyu Club & most recently the Chicken Cheesesteak. The club sandwiches were quite stuffed & almost hard to eat (not something I'd eat in my car!). I did find the hand pulled turkey on the dry side though. I also stopped getting salt added as the first time it was a bit heavy handed with the bacon on the clubs. The Wagyu was good, may have to try it solo at some point. Also, my first club was the Medium 10" size & I couldn't finish it, all "Small" 8" sandwiches since then. I was disappointed with the Chicken Cheesesteak. It was not as "stuffed" as the cold sandy's. And the Chicken had an odd texture, a bit chewy. But cheesy as you can hopefully see in the pix. For dining in, they do have about 5 tables. So that's an option if desired. Will be going back to try a few of the other options & will update this review as needed. :)

"This looks like a place I would come as a drunk college kid," my husband mused when we first stepped inside. True to his observations, the menu is rife with the kinds of deep fried goodies and artery-clogging sandwiches that are best meant for youthful bodies with optimal metabolism. We ordered a fun variety for ourselves - a meatball parm, a pound of buffalo wings, an order of curly fries, and - to balance things out - the harvest salad. For those ordering sandwiches, know that they're enormous. A half order is an 11" deal, while the whole is a Brobdingnagian 22". Our half sandwich was great, and definitely more than enough for us to share. We had few notes on anything we ordered. The curly fries were hot and crispy, the buffalo wings hot and tangy, and the meatball parm was just as expected. I was particularly surprised by the salad, which was just supposed to be a fresh and green counterpart to all the heavier foods. I would have been happy enough with some greens and a vinaigrette, but we had a pretty robust salad with blue cheese, chicken, and pieces of diced apple. I never would've expected to find a good salad at a place like this one, but there you go. There are a few high tables and stools, but little else by way of ambiance. Clearly, the focus here is to eat and clear out. That said, service at the counter was incredibly warm and friendly. As far as parking goes, there are a few spots out front and even a few more behind the building. I struggled with the number of stars here, because this isn't highbrow or fine dining. If that's what you're after, I'd definitely look elsewhere. But it's predictable, freshly prepared, and therefore perfect for a college town. If that's what you're expecting, this is your four-star spot.
