They have front porch seating, indoor and back patio seating. All areas were very nicely decorated and maintained. First time last time. Ordered for takeout Penne pasta with meatballs, chicken Parmesan with penne. The reason for the one star was the salad. Garlic bread with cheese was fair .Both sauces taste like the bottom of the pot. Meatballs were dry & tasteless.probably from Costco as a previous review chicken Parm was disgusting. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE!!!! McDonald's would be a better alternative. I just picked up two subs. They are over $30. One was a meatball sub with Costco meatballs in it COSTCO MEATBALLS!!!. It was disgusting and dry and then I ordered a chicken Parm sub. The chicken is old and dry, and they threw some sauce on it. Neither one of these subs are edible. It should've been a red flag to me that I picked it up at 1 o'clock and the place was completely empty at lunchtime. I don't know how long this place has been a business but obviously they fallen on hard times and figure they can cut corners and serve people garbage. I'm lucky I took apart the chicken before I got nauseous. It didn't smell right or taste right. I called the owner. All he said was I'm sorry about the experience. and the meatballs are from our wholesaler. Can you believe it? Vinny's Pizza is a neighborhood joint that offers decent pizza with both indoor and outdoor seating. The restaurant is also BYOB, so feel free to bring some drinks to enjoy with your food. I ordered a plain slice and a Sicilian. The plain had a crispy base with a sauce that tastes wonderful. The slice also features a pleasant, fluffy crust. The Sicilian could benefit from more sauce, but overall has a nice, crunchy crisp to the base and crust, with a fluffy interior. read more

Pizza is good but the rest of our order was horrible. The garlic knots we ordered last night tasted like it was cooked in burnt garlic. Disgusting. The calamari, my god. I've never smelled such a fishy smell from fried calamari, it was a complete turn off and we didn't eat it at all. Had to have been spoiled, we threw that and the knots away and had a slice of pizza. I stopped into Vinny's for the first time this past weekend since I was in the area. I went with a simple order of a plain slice for dining in & a full size chicken parmigiana sandwich to go. I was told by the guy at the counter to have a seat in the dining area & they'd let me know when the food was ready. I liked the fashionable, yet simple interior (4/5) with nice tablecloth on the tables & great color motif on the walls. I patiently waited for over 20 minutes when no food came out...eventually, a different guy from the kitchen approached me to ask if I had ordered something, mentioning that the system had been losing orders lately. I wasn't in a rush, so I didn't mind as I chalked it up as a simple mistake/oversight, but still not a very good first impression. The pizza slice (3/5) was decent...the base was crisp how I like it and the crust tasty, but the cheese itself was lacking a little something in flavor. The chicken parmigiana (2.5/5) was ok, with some chewy parts of the chicken which I wound up spitting out, with bread, sauce, and chicken being merely average taste-wise. The sandwich was supposed to be a full sandwich & to go, but I only got a half sandwich for dine in, which most likely tied in with whatever issue they had earlier when I had placed the order. The overall service (3/5) was super friendly thanks to the guy who came to check up on me to ask if I had ordered something, despite the order getting lost. In the end, what was supposed to be a quick lunch turned out to be much longer than anticipated, with food being mediocre and unmemorable for a Central NJ pizza joint. read more

I normally do not write negative reviews. This experience I could not let go. It was truly disappointing.... I really wanted to like Vinny's... We placed an order to go and ordered: 1 order of Mozzarella Sticks 1 order of Chicken Fingers 1 order of Buffalo Wings 1 Eggplant Parm Sandwich 2 Pizzas The only thing in the order that was edible was the pizza. Everything else was disgusting... mozzarella sticks, chicken fingers, and buffalo wings tasted as if they were fried in old oil and were ridiculously over cooked.. The eggplant parmigiana smelled dreadful and was clearly spoiled. The pizza was just barely passable... Not sure how this place is still in business but I will never step foot in Vinny's ever again. Giving it the benefit of the doubt with 2 stars since did not get to try their food...service leaves plenty to be desired. Signs, google and yelp say the establishment closes at midnight. Called in the other night at 11:15 to confirm to see if it would be worth the trip, spoke to a gentleman who also said it would be open until midnight...it was closed by the time I arrived at 11:35. was not looking for anything fancy just a slice or 2. my suggestion is if you plan on closing at a time other than 12, let your customers know, or change your ads. read more

This is the pizza place I grew up with and I'm still loyal to this day. I've ordered everything possible over the years and they always seem to deliver. The staff is very accomodating and always serves the food with a smile. Their delivery service arrives at a reasonable time as well. As for their quality of pizza, it's incredible. The best thin pizza you will have. I usually get their pepperoni, but I love their fresh mushroom pizza as well, along with their bacon pizza (I must warn you, it's grease heaven). How can you go wrong with bacon? Besides their pizza, I recommend any of their fat sandwiches. I usually end up getting a Fat Cat. I eat here for lunch, dinner and even a late night bite. read more

Since moving to the area, I've enjoyed everything I've ever ordered from Vinny's, and their food always goes over well with our friends when we order for birthday parties and other occasions. Both their hot and cold subs are delicious (the texture of the bread is just great, not soggy or lackluster), and their margherita pizza really shines - the signature sweetness of the sauce makes it one of my favorite things on their menu! (Though, I do wish the crust were a bit sturdier, as it tends to spill off; I've only ever had this issue with the margherita, not the other pizzas.) Their pizza in general is very tasty and they are generous with their toppings compared to many other pizzerias in the area; although it's not the cheapest pizza I've had, I do feel like the amount of toppings you get (and the overall quality) makes it justifiable. I don't think I've ever been disappointed by anything on their menu, and their menu is a great size - you'll likely find something for everyone in your party here, and they do have regular specials going on that are worth checking out. There is plenty of table seating indoors with TVs mounted from the ceiling, and it's usually pretty quiet inside when we go, so bringing a group shouldn't be an issue; I've seen larger families present and it's often a nice quiet place to enjoy a slice, as it seems many of their customers order to go. The only issue I have aside from structurally-unsound margherita crust is the service; staff is efficient and timely, but not exactly personable. I'm often met with weird looks for no reason or expressionless stares, and I've never felt very welcomed when I go. (Not that I expect a four-star welcome every time, but I always felt Vinny's could benefit from having friendlier staff.) Aside from that, the food alone keeps me and my husband coming back, but its proximity to our home is a big factor in why we return time and time again. That said, if you're in the area and craving some good pizza, I would easily pick Vinny's over any of the local chain pizzerias, but I wouldn't go out of my way to travel here exclusively. read more

It bums me out to have write this. I only try to post positive reviews. We've been getting pizza from Vinny's once a week for the last year, but we've been going there for over 15 years. In recent years the pizza has often been really, really good. But, it's inconsistent so sometimes it's awesome and sometimes it's just okay. However, for the last three weeks it's been terrible. You know the expression that even when pizza is bad it's still pretty good. Not always true. Three weeks ago, the cheese was sliding off the pie and it was an absolute mess. Last week the crust was too thick, there was too much cheese and it was so salty it was inedible (I know that sounds weird, but it was really not good.) This week it was completely overcooked. I don't even know how to tell them to improve because the problems are different every week. I really hope they get it together but next week we'll be getting our pie elsewhere. read more

I ordered delivery at 5:45, the woman on the phone was so rude, had no idea what she was doing. Didn't ask for my address I had to tell her to ask me. she said it would take 30-45 minutes. I was always told to start with the positive when critiquing something. The pizza was very good. However the price was a little bizarre. I ordered 6 slices of pizza. I was quoted $2.00 a slice. That was the cost of a slice was from a large pizza. However I was given a medium pie and charged the same as a large piece per slice. Also a can of soda us a dollar. That is a little much.
