Where do I start? Took 15 minutes to order in the drive through. When ordering the man is trying to rush me through my order and when I said I have one more item I'm not done, he yelled whattt!!! What do you want!??? Wow then another 30 minutes in line... almost one hour to get out ice cream, once I get to the window, rude older white male.. proceeds to charge me 28 dollars, I look over at the receipt once he swiped my card and he handed us the ice cream( which me messed up) I got a dino sundae, he didn't put the cookie in it. A two scoops Vanilla, he gave me two one scoops and I told him it was wrong he said well do you want it or not?!! Take the ice cream... I told him I ordered four ice creams why is he charging me five items.. he looked at me like I was stupid and said well you got the five items right ?? Umm it was four items you messed up the order and didn't make it a double so I asked for a refund, mind you I'm being patient and explaining the order again and told him are you going to give me a refund ? Yea ok fine here!! This employee was beyond rude, I always tip the employees there but this one hell no!! I'm writing one more complaint about the old guy at the counter(manager?/owner???) that, very likely, is going to be ingored; it looks like only good reviews get a response in Google maps, passive-aggressive much? Or should I say childish. We went there for the very first time today, we always wanted to try it since it looks good on all those posters, we place our order, and despite the employee repeating the order back to us correctly they ended up making it wrong, and, on top of it, they charged us for one more item, so we let them know about the situation, and the employee proceeds to call his manager, and there he comes to the window, "what is it that is wrong with you order?" He asked with a tone that seemed as if we were causing him and inconvenience, I mean he seemed more annoyed about the situation than we were. We explained the situation, to what he proceeded to give us a refund for the item that we didn't order, and repeat the order, to all this he kept the same demeanor: annoyed. First impressions are very important, we felt unwelcomed and our business unwanted, we were hesitant to even eat our icecreams that didn't even look great, they were melting already; and eventhough at the very end he said "sorry for the inconvenience" it didn't feel genuine. In your website it says that you take pride in your company and how good your icecream is made, but base on our experience the message I get from you is that there is no care in how the icecream looks when is served to the paying customer, or if the customer has a great experience visiting your business, and that no matter how many people complaint about him, nothing gets done, or at the very least no change of attitude is achieved, and it becomes very clear when all those 20+ customers that left a 1 star review looks very similar to my experience, an issue that you can trace back to 5 years ago and still keeps happening, and I'm sure what I'm going to say next means nothing to you, but I'm certain that we're not coming back. read more

This was my first time going to this location. I've just recently moved to Texas. I love Bruster's as well as ice cream, but my first time experience was not what I expected. I used the drive through and there was an older man taking orders. His customer service was not good. He seemed to be grumpy and hardly said a word when I pulled up to the window. I got the key lime ice cream & it tasted exactly like a key lime pie! Waffle cone was wonderfully crispy & tasty. My only complaint is that the ice cream had a tinge of that taste that it sat too long in the freezer. Price wise it's expensive but the quality of it is worth paying for. This location is AMAZING! My family went for an afternoon ice cream visit today (7/3/20) and our car's battery died after we finished eating our ice cream and went to leave. The owner of this location saw we were having trouble and came out with cold water bottles for our whole family since it was 98 degrees outside. The owner asked if he could help us in any way and when he heard our battery was dead, he pulled his car up next to ours and used his jumper cables to help us start our car! This rating is strictly because of service. I went to this location hoping that they would honor a coupon my son had for a free small waffle cone, the coupon was valid for the Louetta location. I asked and the manager said NO without hesitation. I find it hard to understand within the same company but different locations that a coupon for a $5 cone can't be honored.
