I am writing to formally express my disappointment regarding the level of customer service my family experienced today at the Douglasville location during Bruster's Customer Appreciation Free Ice Cream Day promotion. The advertisement stated that there were two ways to receive a free scoop of ice cream: wear pajamas or donate a pair of pajamas. My children were very excited about the opportunity, so despite the heavy rain, we made the trip to the Douglasville location dressed in our pajamas to participate in the promotion. When we arrived, I was surprised to see that there was no line. However, when we approached the service window and mentioned the promotion, the employee informed me that I needed to be a loyalty member to qualify. This requirement was not mentioned anywhere on the promotional flyer. The young employee appeared uncomfortable delivering this message and mentioned that I could speak with the manager if I had questions. Before requesting to speak with the manager, I reviewed both the promotional flyer and the website again to ensure I had not overlooked any details. Neither source mentioned that loyalty membership was required. When the manager came to the window, I politely inquired about the promotion and the requirements. Unfortunately, she was dismissive and simply stated that I did not qualify. When I asked how to become a loyalty member, she did not provide any guidance and closed the service window while I was still standing there. At that point, my children and I were left standing outside in the pouring rain, confused and disappointed. I returned to my car and called another Bruster's location, where an employee confirmed that the promotion was available at all locations and explained what was needed to participate. I then downloaded the Bruster's app and registered for the loyalty program immediately. I even registered the other members of my family as well. Once the rain slowed down, we returned to the service window. The employee turned to assist us, but I observed the manager instruct her not to serve us. We were left standing at the window for approximately five minutes before the manager finally returned. I informed her that we had registered as loyalty members (although it was not a requirement) and would like to participate in the promotion. Despite this, she continued to challenge our eligibility, stating that our phone number would not appear in the system. I showed her my phone screen, which clearly indicated that I was registered as a "Loyalty Tier Member" and that a $3 reward was available on the account. After more than ten minutes of unnecessary back-and-forth, the manager reluctantly agreed to provide the ice cream. However, the interaction continued with additional questioning, including whether we were actually wearing pajamas. The overall experience was extremely disappointing and reflected a very poor level of customer service. As first-time customers, this interaction was both frustrating and disheartening. What should have been a simple and enjoyable experience for my children turned into a stressful and embarrassing situation. Promotions such as this are intended to build goodwill within the community and introduce new customers to your brand. Unfortunately, the manner in which we were treated had the opposite effect. A simple scoop of ice cream could have created a positive and lasting impression, but instead left my family feeling unwelcome and poorly treated. What's not to love about amazing ice cream and quick friendly service. I went through the drive-through and was greeted very promptly, professionally, and friendly. I didn't have to wait long. I ordered the new Butter cake ice cream. It was good however I wish I had gotten a scoop of something else to kind of balance it because it was super sweet and I'm not sure if I liked the cake texture. After a while, it just was not very palette pleasing. However, I'll definitely go back again and next time get my tried and true favorite, which is the Keylime pie ice cream. read more

We have frequented this location several times. We never have any problems except we always have to ask for napkins. On our most recent visit, we ordered a small cup of strawberry ice cream and a regular waffle cone with butter pecan ice cream. When we got to the window, the total was incorrect. Then we realized she had rang us twice for one of the items. She corrected it with no apology; my husband said she was robotic. She wasn't the type to go over and beyond at being friendly. When she handed me the cup, it was in a brown paper bag with a lid. Usually they ask if we want a lid but I knew the cashier knew I was ready to eat it right then. I'm not sure why she didn't tell her co-worker. Rather than bring it up to her, I happily accepted it. What's done was done. The serving service at this location is always good. I ordered a waffle bowl with 2 scoops this past Friday. They were the smallest scoops I have ever gotten. I've been to different locations in Georgia and Florida. It is definitely not worth the money. The customer service was good but I definitely do not recommend any one to waste their money here. I wish I had taken pictures. We needed something to eat while waiting on our car to be fixed. We saw a Bruster's next door, and thought it would be nice to get a quick treat to put a smile on an otherwise down day. The employees were courteous and professional. The food was out fairly quickly, and was very tasty. The price tag of the food gave us a little bit of a sticker shock, especially for a small cup of ice cream. While I would possibly come back, I think you can probably find better values elsewhere, so it will probably only be if there is nothing else around / open. read more

Went thru the drive-thru, never heard anyone over the intercom mask for our order. I waited for about 3-4 mins and proceeded to the window where I waited another 5 mins before someone appeared. She had the next cars order and told me that she asked for my order and I never responded. I asked if this was the type of customer service that she wanted to provide and she informed me that she had the next customers order and not mines. Night shift Very Ghetto, would not recommend. The young ladies who work night shift are very unprofessional. If you have customers in line before closing time, those customers should be serviced instead of coming to window, holding up a "X" to show that you are closed and turning off the lights. Mind you we got in line at 9:40 with multiple cars I front of us and behind. The ice cream is actually pretty good. Only visit this establishment during the day. Unfortunately, on the way to the in-laws we stopped here. Every time we go to Brusters no matter which one they stamp our frequent customer card. Really. I spent almost $9 on one small waffle cone with Butter Pecan. This was a good amount for me. I immediately thought that the ice cream was not cold or hard enough I guess I should say. This was strange to me because it's not summer time hot here in Atlanta. Not today at least. Me and my friend downloaded the app and each got a $3 reward loaded to our accounts. My friend used hers no problem, then when we told the guy I had a $3 reward as well he said we needed to show the app instead of telling my phone number. I showed him my app barcode and he proceeded to tell me my total was $5+ which my friends total was $2.02 so I said I had a $3 reward LOADED on my account just like my friend he says it wasn't showing in the system yet my friend JUST USED HERS 30 seconds prior. He claims it takes 24 hours to load up which is a bold face lie. He was clearly mad we were trying to use two coupons. We told him never mind and left with one cone for my friend and I was empty handed. I called back to get clarification and he was rude and disrespectful saying that his system doesn't show a reward. I said how is that fair that it works for some and doesn't for others. He keeps cutting me off saying "ma'am, I can't give you a discount when it doesn't show you have anything sometimes it doesn't work because so many people are downloading the app" YET IT SHOWS I HAVE $3 LOADED ON MY ACCOUNT!!!!!!
