Been here before and always loved the ice cream but our stop today to order a birthday cake for my 10 yr old daughter was beyond special. When we asked the owner, Kathy, what flavors they could do she invited us inside and started passing test scoops to my daughter. She must've tried 20 or so flavors before deciding on a half chocolate raspberry truffle and half oreo cake. Kathy then walked my daughter through the available decorative options with some recommendations. When we checked out she sent us home with 2 cups of chocolate ice cream for my daughter and son. Hi this ice cream spot has been one of my favorites and go too since they've opened up. However, today was my last day ever coming back. First of the service was absolutely horrible. Usually im pretty patient with service wherever I go. But this teenager said that's he's been working there for over a month and it looked like his first day on the job. One of his coworkers caught him stealing the money I was using to pay. He had it all stuffed up in his pockets. The scoops of ice cream were atrocious they fell off the cone as soon as he handed it to me. I asked for a remake and he said there was nothing he could do about it. I had not been here in a few years but my daughter requested it! We sampled a few different ice creams and they tasted amazing! I loved the chocolate peanut butter with buckeyes! We were so excited - but I ordered a cake cone and the associate had put it in a waffle cone, I didn't want the extra charge and I reminded him that I ordered a cake cone... so he quickly DUMPED the waffle cone into a cake cone! I was shocked as it didn't fill up the cone and he said he would make a new one. He proceeded to make a new cake cone & it was super drippy.... So I asked for a bowl to put it in and you can see you SOUPY it was! I asked about it being so runny and he said they had just cleaned out all of the containers and they may not have gotten cold enough. I was super disappointed in my ice cream being so runny. He did not charge me for mine, but overall it was just not a great experience. My daughter did love her waffle cone bowl. This is one of our go to places when we need a nice cold treat. Their freshly made ice cream is always good and perfectly blended. I love how they have rotating flavors and so many to choose from. I tend to gravitate towards anything chocolate but one day tried the Blueberry Cobbler and absolutely loved it. We went here last night for dessert after a wonderful dinner with the hopes of having the traditional Bruster's real ice cream. Having been here so many times I have high expectations. My friend got two scoops of ice cream, one cappuccino the other banana nut. The banana nut she said was good just a little more sweet than she had expected. I got the cappuccino milkshake and my friend. Second scoop was the cappuccino. Both of us simultaneously said what is this without realizing the other was going to say it. It had absolutely no cappuccino flavor and we couldn't really differentiate what it was. It was a different type of taste. Moreover the milkshake was the consistency of milk, it was not solid or thick Like a milkshake is supposed to be. Rather it was like they just took half melted ice cream put some milk in. It stirred it and handed it to me. There was no solid consistency rather liquid form. Overall, we were both very disappointed in the quality of what we received regarding the milkshake and the cappuccino lack of flavor. The two stars is for the banana nut. read more

I love brusters! Tonight was not the best. The young lady working the drive-thru was rude. Rolled her eyes when I ordered my kid hers. After handing us our food, annoyed with us being there, she closed the window and stepped back and took an obvious deep breath. One of our fave after-dinner spots. We have so many fond memories bringing our two dogs here. Sadly, our elderly dog has passed away but we still keep up the tradition of bringing our baby Hazel to get her birthday treat from Bruster's. Unfortunately the three times I've been here and have products at this location, the shakes AND the blasts have been pure water. Not as in flavor, but as in form (not frozen in any way). None of the three products I purchased (shake, shake, blast) have been anywhere near the quality of the shakes I've had at a plethora of other restaurants/food service companies. I'd like to give them another try since I used to come here about a decade ago but... I just don't want to blow more money knowing what I order will likely be watery yet again. I will say, the place is very clean, staff is very friendly and it's an all around great place! I have had the ice cream cones, I have gotten pints to go and I have ordered a birthday cake. The employees have always been very friendly and are great helping you figure out what you want if you are indecisive. The birthday cakes are massive and so rich. It cake take a while to eat one even with a few people. They really pack in the ice cream and fudge layers. You can order ahead which is great and they are completely customizable. The cherry ice cream is to die for. If you love black cherries definitely give it a try. The mudslide is my new guilty pleasure! The lines can take a while if there are a lot of people and while there are a couple benches and umbrellas it would be nice to have a table especially on hot days when you don't want the kids in the car with their ice cream. Let me start with this place is actually awesome! Love the ice cream and the vast variety of ice cream there is. Love the helpful staff! But today here is why the bummer score..... Somehow this location needs to implement the COVID safety measures better. Staff wearing gloves- A+. Everyone was wearing gloves and changing them. Now there were no less than 6 employees in the little bit together and not one of them was wearing a face mask. Even worse- zero, and I mean zero, social distancing in place. There's a sign that no one sees. I was the only one maintaining 6ft from the person in front of me. But forget about folks lining up behind me--- they were too close! "Don't stand so close to me" was running through my head as I cringed. I almost got out of line and left because of the level of discomfort and anxiety I had From seeing this. while I was there there were no less than 30 other ppl there. Not a one social distanced. Not a one with a face mask other than me. If hair salons can mandate folks getting hair cuts are required to be masked, then restaurants and ice cream parlors can do it too. Don't get me wrong, I know folks are there to eat something. But what should be happening is faces covered until ready to eat or drink. Once done, faces covered again and then adios- no lingering. The Hublet has managed to resist my puppy eyes whenever we pass this place, my nose pressed against the glass, drooling slightly. Unsure what finally wore him down, maybe it was the Florida heat, but I finally got to visit. Although there's always a queue, they have 4x windows to make quick work of taking care of everyone. The Hublet was torn between a Banana Split and a Hot Fudge Brownie, eventually opting for the Brownie. My brain nearly imploded when faced with so many options, but in the end I opted for a scoop of Black Raspberry Chocolate Chunk (black raspberry flavoured ice cream stuffed with chocolate chunks) and a scoop of Gone Bananas (banana flavoured ice cream studded with fudge and almonds). The ice cream quality was better than I was expecting, and there was also a generous amount of chocolate chunks and almonds swirled into the ice cream. They have a good amount of outdoor seating, but we ended up hopping back into the truck with a/c blowing to try to extend the life of our ice cream before it melted. Great place to go for ice cream, especially if you love variety but don't want to have cartons of different flavours stacking up in your freezer. read more
