TLDR: The cotton candy explosion and the ice cream cakes are amazing I've been coming to this Bruster's location ever since I was a kid. Coming here brings back all sorts of great memories of childhood. I would always get the cotton candy explosion and that's still my favorite flavor to date. The cotton candy flavor is amazing and with that unexpected pop in every bite!! We also recently tried the ice cream cakes for the first time and LOVED them. We always get vanilla cake with the Oreo ice cream flavor with whip cream and sprinkles. The cake base is lovely and moist and the Oreo ice cream is amazing!! They don't break up the Oreo into small pieces you get the entire Oreo chunck in there which is kind of amazing. Also, each cake is hefty so you can definitely eat it for a while.

I used a birthday coupon of $3 I got from the rewards program, but that wasn't even enough to get a small cup. I was surprised it was that expensive, but it was very nice. The outside looked pretty run down though; the other Bruster's looked much nicer. And I didn't get the face in my ice-cream, but I guess they only do that at the other location. It was fine, because I still got a good amount of ice-cream and it tasted great.

When a friend wanted a banana split and suggested Bruster's, I couldn't resist getting my own scoop since I'm ice cream obsessed. Bruster's ice cream had been an old love of mine, but nowadays I'm crazy about spots like Jeni's, Morelli's, and Queen of Cream. Time to go back to a classic. This location in Kennesaw has a drive-thru, so we did that but I'm not sure it was faster than walking up to the window. Maybe they were short staffed that particular visit? At any rate, the young woman helping us was pretty nice though she didn't take our order immediately after pulling up to the speaker. I'm a certified chocoholic so I focused on getting a chocolate flavor and ended up with a single scoop in a cup of Chocolate Mudslide ($3.49). This scrumptious flavor sports a dark chocolate base with mix-ins of brownies, Oreo crumbles, and swirls of marshmallows. Yum! Excellent rich chocolate ice cream, and the additions give some texture and extra tastiness. Perhaps not as pretty as the picture on the Bruster's website, but it all goes into your mouth anyway. Bruster's has a healthy number of rotating flavors so you're highly likely to find a flavor that suits your needs at the moment. I myself used to be fanatical about Black Raspberry back in the day. Ah, memories.

Had to put it in a different cup because of the leaking and look a cookie dough piece no Oreos literally like milk as well

Ask the Community - Bruster's Real Ice Cream

Would you guys add a picture of your menu? I can never decide which flavor I want in time in the drive-thru and right now, that's the only option. That said, I appreciate y'all being open. I'm just incredibly indecisive.

Our group had very mixed reviews of the ice cream. I liked mine because it actually tasted like…read morecoffee, unlike most coffee ice creams. But my friends got mint and dulce de leche and neither thought there was enough flavor. We were also not huge fans of the texture. The line was really long and slow. Once we got to the front we understood why it was taking so long. I don't think we're going back, but it was interesting to try!

You can find Frozen Cow Creamery at 2870 Cherokee St NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144. This is a somewhat…read moreawkward intersection where a few streets converge to cross the railroad tracks (unfortunate as when trains run you can't make some turns and the whole thing is a mess of backed up streets, especially during rush hour). For parking, there's a small lot to one side of the stand-alone building on the other side of a small garage that's used for storage. There's also spaces available across the street (several antique store type retail nearby). Frozen Cow can be found in what appears to be a historic home - you enter via the front entry with tables to the right and the counter in a room to the left. There are menus in holders but you have to look for them - you'll want to review the process while your inline. As with other nitrogen-style dessert places, here they bring down the temperature of sweet cream using liquid nitrogen (which comes out as a cloudy gas that billows out of the bowl) while adding ingredients like fruit and/or chocolate, nuts, etc. to build out your portion. You can then top it with various items and whip creams for a delicious treat. The staff here are all fairly young and probably still in high school - super friendly and surprisingly efficient at taking and making your order. Overall a great experience and a fantastic dessert.

I don't know if I've ever left or felt the need to leave a yelp review before, but man.... having…read moreeaten at this establishment and the location in Lawrenceville for a long time, the changes instituted with the new year have been a pretty big letdown. I don't know if Asian Express has new owners or what, but I truly hope that the owners take reviews like this and any possible dip in business to heart and see the error of their ways. Firstly, they got rid of their sushi. it was cheap, but good and I enjoyed it. Secondly, this restaurant that was widely and affectionately known as a "dollar scoop" or "scoop spot" is no longer such. Where they use to charge $1.50/scoop up until last year (and, typically, quite generous scoops that required your plate's lid to be pushed down to close it), they raised it to $2/scoop later in 2025. My traditional Saturday night order of lo mien, two scoops of honey chicken, two scoops of veggies and an order of teriaki chicken skewers (so 6 scoops, basically) came to 12 dollarydoos and change, up until the most recent changes that went into effect with the new year. Now, they no longer charge by scoop, but rather by "plate size", with the "large" plate costing 15 dollars and only being 4 scoops. I forget what they were charging for the teriyaki skewers à la carte now, but whatever it was, I think my "large" plate plus a side of skewers was either just shy of or just over $20. As a little cherry on top of this disappointing sundae, the servers must have been instructed to start being very strict with their scoop sizes, because not only was my "large" plate fewer scoops than I normally get, but the servers seem to be very, shall we say, conservative, with their scoop sizes. Very small portions. I think I counted literally like 15 little bites in my 2 scoops of honey chicken, pretty much halving the generous scoop sizes I'm sure accustomed to. So yeah, tl;dr version is that what use to be a cheap but very good fast food takeout place has, in the span of a few months, more than doubled their prices while also reducing portion sizes. Not cool. The value of the food at Asian Express has always been a huge factor in making it my weekly go-to Chinese take-out spot. I get that the economy is bad right now and inflation is through the roof, but man is this all very disappointing. Bottom line, if this once cheap but very good Chinese spot is going to cut back on quality *and* quantity while also raising their prices to the same level or higher than the Chinese place I had previously been going to since high school, I may as well go back to patronizing their business instead... and I have.

I came here to…read moretry it out because 1) the reviews and 2) $1.50 a scoop sounds not to bad especially if you on a budget. When I came in, there were nobody dining inside. And it was lunch time when I came. They have a buffet style setup at the register. I ordered the honey chicken and mixed veggies. The food was ok. The veggies were warm. One of the girls was cooking and eating at the same time. I don't know if I will come back to try again because I know what good food taste like!
