I came here with my brother since he needed something and I like board games. The place is bigger than it looks from the outside and they did have a bunch of board games that I liked - like Mysterium! It was also nice that it wasn't too bright or dark in there as well like other game stores. They were having some event and it smelled terrible - probably from all the stinky guys in there, but this isn't the stores fault. What was awful was that so many of the guys were leering at me and I caught some of them looking at my butt, even the guys working there. Gross! I talked to one of the employees about this and he only shrugged his shoulders like he didn't care or want to do anything about it and then proceeded to stare at my cleavage and breasts almost the entire time I was talking to him! The store has a good selection of games and it's clean and well lighted like I said, but if your a girl it's not worth coming here to get sexually harassed by the employees. I just recently started playing Magic so I searched for shops that sell Magic and Brute Force was one of the first places to come up. Unfortunately, my excitement quickly became mortification and repulsion when I visited the shop. After I entered I began looking around and things were good at first but then I overheard a couple of employees who didn't think I could hear them one of which said to the other "why do we have to help theses f***ts" I could not believe my ears! whether it was in reference to me or another customer this cut me to my core as a member of the LGBTQ+ community! That type of attitude has no place in any worthwhile modern place of business ! I gained my composure and walked out a word but I will never return to this garbage business! I will also make it my mission to let others know how appalling this place is! Update: While I appreciate the reply to my review it seems to be only to try and cover up what happed and attempt to discredit me. Which is hardly surprising now that I see the picture of the one replying to my review who bares a striking resemblance to one of those employees behind the counter that day. I will not be wasting anymore time with this horrible business and neither should anyone else. read more

I do have to agree with some of the other reviews. I really like this place, and I really want to spend my money here. But the staff are very discourteous. They need to have more signage if they don't want you looking at product due to social distancing. Gentleman with the beard is very rude. Im so sorry. Not shopping here again. read more

very good store but employees aren't . I came here because this is the closest tag store from south SD . I entered the clerk at the desk say hi in the most boring way I asked for paints and brushes for miniatures he was over there they were well stocked, after browsing a while I couldn't see any prices so I asked but the employees said um around 5 dlls brushes between 5 to 10 , I asked bcs I was on budget I didn't wa t to take more that I could spend it would be embarrassing to return stuff and I wanted to avoid that, nevertheless a guy was passing I asked and he said let me check he returned with the same information around 5 dlls then he said sorry I'm off to lunch and I was ok cool at least he tried to help then some white dude came asking for mtg cards and the guy at the desk was all happy explaining all the things from magic new card best options un the mean time they had me figuring stuff out so idk if it was bcs the emoyee s cared more about magic than other products of because I am not a white dude but Hispanic ( I really don't want to believe that) but I felt left out I just bought some paints and brushes but definitely not What I was expected to get and walked out as soon as I could very suckie experience read more

This store was cool but we came in trying to buy a collectors booster. We asked about the pricing and they proceed to open a closed box and say they only sell it by pack. What a rip off! Walked into the store upon opening and was greeted warmly by staff. I had a nice conversation about the Double Masters release and specific cards within the set. There was a nice selection of supplies, snacks and had a large play area. No singles to look through but I dug the vibes of this shop. read more

Stumbled upon this game shop randomly and I'm glad I did! They have a large variety of sleeves, deck boxes, and dice. For sleeves they have Eclipse, KMC, Ultimate Guard, and Katana. For cards to sell or buy, they have laptops set up on the side for you to browse their collection/buy list and their trade in prices are fair, especially when trading for store credit. It's a pretty spacious place if you're looking for a LGS to play with friends or the community. Their customer service is fine as well. read more

I have done business here several times in the past months without incident. Those positive experiences led me to believe doing business with Brute Force would be desirable for both parties. Therefore I was shocked and disappointed to learn that I was persona non grata upon arriving there today. I was told upon entering that I am unwelcome there and they did not want to continue to do business with me. When I inquired as to the reason for being turned away, they offered no real explanation other than to accuse me of association with several people whom I am unfamiliar with. To say I am disappointed in the treatment I received is understating my position. The unprofessional treatment was surprising to me so hopefully this review will make others more aware of the way they do business. And a suggestion to Brute Force (if you care), I suggest vetting your sources before telling customers of (rumored) nonexistent associations. And also that you contact a (former) customer before they walk in to your location, (by email, phone call, or text message) to warn the accused and explain your accusations (which I'm still not exactly sure of). In summary I simply expect to be treated professionally, even when being falsely accused of something (and a detailed explanation of the something). I am happy to say that the owner of Brute Force did follow up with me after I posted the above review. And I am pleased to say I am able to, and continue to do business with them today. After the initial misunderstanding occurred I have no complaints about how things were handled since then. Just as Yelp states for a 5-star rating, this store - and especially the owner, Sean - is as good as it gets. I have been a customer of Brute Force Games (BFG from here on out) for nearly a decade, and I can honestly say I have never met a friendlier person, both professionally and personally, than Sean. His staff is also top notch. They are extremely knowledgeable and always willing to take time to help their customers. BFG's inventory is always stocked and the prices are very fair. The new location boasts a sizable, open play area that is perfect for both casual and tournament play. Although BFG specializes in Magic: The Gathering, they also cater to other interests such as video games. I definitely recommend BFG if you're in the market for MTG singles, a fun, organized place to play and to generally meet some great people. read more
