First, I can't breathe properly out of my nose, and second my nostrils are different sizes one smaller than the other and the tip is very bullbous. Most upsetting, I have a piece of the graft that protrudes from the skin on the top of my nose that is noticeable. It will cost me probably triple to have it revised. I wish I had done more research.

The space is lovely and feels comfortable. The most wonderful thing is ... the outcome of the surgery, the contouring specifically is truly beautiful. I feel like I have my own natural arm shape and it feels freeing and makes me so happy. Surgery comes with scars and they are a trade off for me. I love my arms so much, even with the scars, which are still young and will heal and fade further. Scar tape works incredibly well and is a very low cost resource I highly recommend. For me, Dr. Xu's personality, her skill set, and her eye for esthetics are simply incredible. It is also clear that the office team is trying to provide an experience for their clients to feel welcomed, held, cared about, and supported throughout the process, including into recovery. One thing I would prepare others for who are considering this option is that the surgery center and anesthesiologist were an expensive part of the overall package. While I trust and feel confident with Dr. Xu, there are other people who also support the surgery. The anesthesiologist was trying to put an iv in my foot, which was painful, before Dr. Xu arrived and advised him to put me under first. That seems like something the anesthesiologist, with all his years of experience, should have known to do himself. The surgery itself went beyond the estimated time and both the surgery center and anesthesiologist had additional fees, increasing the overall cost by ~2k. With that said, I do highly recommend Dr. Xu to others. Go meet her and her team and hear her thoughts and see if what she can offer will meet your needs.

When you are considering cosmetic procedures in the face & neck area, it's imperative that you select a surgeon who is certified by both the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and the American Board of Otolaryngology in Head and Neck Surgery, as Dr. Dedhia is. Prior to meeting Dr. Dedhia, I had consulted with a general plastic surgeon, and she nearly guided me in the wrong direction. Additionally, make sure to select a plastic surgeon who takes the time to truly understand any medical issues you have so that they can help you evaluate the risks and benefits of what you are considering cosmetically. I have multiple health conditions, including one that is very rare - Dr. Dedhia fully took all of them into account, even doing research in advance of our appointments to make sure he deeply understood what we were dealing with. Then, he explained clearly how my healing and outcome could be affected, guiding me down the most sensible path. (By contrast, another very experienced head & neck plastic surgeon I'd seen earlier this year had recommended a procedure that was far too drastic under the circumstances). I was greeted by front desk who's always so cheerful. My first visit was with Kimberly to get my lips done. I did my homework and watched a few of the videos on their Instagram and was confident enough to schedule with her. I had a bad experience with an injector at a different place a few years back, so I made sure to look at all examples and information online and on any media platform. I was comfortable and happy with my experience. My upper lip is really thin but it goes forward at the tip, so when I explained my concern to Kimberly, she gave me some good recommendations to be done. She also made sure my bottom lip was full and projected so it balanced out with my upper lip, I noticed the difference . Crystal was the medical assistant who explained the procedure and answer most questions I had. Again, very knowledgeable and left me with a good vibe. Not to mention, the music request and lavender lights (they asked what my favorite cold wax prior to the appointment) was a nice touch! My second visit was with Dr. Mabrie himself to get a non-surgical rhinoplasty. Cool guy. I was supposed to come back and see Kimberly for my lip refinement appointment but Dr. Mabrie said he'd use the rest of my Restylane Kysse filler to touch up. Very kind of him. Note: They recommend a minimal of 2 appointments, one to lay down the foundation in the first injection, and then come back after a month or so for refinement. I think that is a great idea! I've noticed some practices only do one appointment and when they inject too much at one time, the filler seems to just spread everywhere.
