Dr. Bryce Darden is my "new" dentist since his father, Dr. Ronald Darden, retired a few years ago. I've been going there for nearly 40 years, and Dr. Bryce is as good as his dad, if not better. And, very importantly, his team is great. 16 or so years ago, I moved out of the neighborhood. But I still drive to his office some 30 miles away from home for my cleaning & checkups. Like most, dentist always made me nervous. I had a bad wisdom tooth and they were the only 1 open before 8am. It was an emergency and they took me in. The worst part for me usually is the needle in the gums but they have this new type that I barely felt. It was so much better then back years ago when they would dig in with the needle. Almost zero pain with these guys and with a little bit of a tug they got that bad tooth out. Now I go for my 6mo cleaning with no fear. read more

My husband and I love Dr. Darden and his staff and believe he is a GREAT dentist. He was recommended by many of my co-workers many years ago and we have always been happy we took the recommendation. They are very personable and professional. We have both had several dental needs taken care of, from replacing old fillings to implants. In every instance we were shown the x-ray right after it was taken on the computer screen where we were sitting. It was thoroughly explained to each of us. In a few instances we were given options and then each was explained and why each one had its strengths or weaknesses so we could make an educated decision. We were with Dr Darden for several years before I decided to retire and we chose to move to Payson, Az. a small mountain town north of Phoenix. We continued to have dental care provided through my employer after my retirement for a year. We chose to continue to use Dr. Darden and have made several 800+ mile round-trips to see him because of the outstanding care he and his staff routinely have given us. I read the 2 negative reviews and was shocked by their complaints. First and we feel most important: We will agree that sometimes the appointments take awhile. However, Dr. Darden is meticulous with his work and wants his finished project to be perfect. We are thrilled with this. I have had cavities filled that are too high or that have fallen out in the past with other dentists and that just sends you back to have it corrected. Rushing through a procedure only saves you time initially, but costs time in the end when it needs to be remedied. What we always liked about Dr. Darden is that he is always looking to find a way to avoid potentially more serious and expensive work in the future. We are always for that. Take care of a smaller problem before it becomes a bigger one. As far as getting enough pain medication, he has never refused me more. My metabolism goes through pain medication very fast and I often need more many times through a procedure. He has always been very cheerful about complying with my request. Again, we love Dr Darden and his staff and plan to have him care for our teeth for as long as we can make the drive from Arizona. I met Dr. Bryce Darden and his team about 7 years ago. I came to him with a list of dental issues. Many cavities, crooked and discolored teeth that I was ashamed and embarrassed of, old crowns, receding gums, a tooth infection, the list goes on and on. I have had nothing but bad luck with dental offices most of my life, but Dr. Darden and his team have been amazing and I have grown to trust and love them all over the years. Over the years we have taken care of my MANY dental issues. Dr. Darden has had to redo old root canals that were infected by a previous dentist, pull a tooth of mine and put in an implant, I had a frenectomy done as it was causing my gums to recede, a gum graft, and most important (to me) 6 veneers over my crooked and discolored front teeth. Before Dr. Darden, you would never catch me smiling with my teeth showing, in person and especially in photos, whenever I would talk or laugh I would cover my mouth. I was so embarrassed by my teeth that I couldn't be myself. The day I left his office with my temporary veneers on, I cried when I smiled at myself in the mirror. From that day I was a new me. He gave me the best gift ever. Now I am always smiling and laughing and no one can get me to stop. He has helped my confidence so much. The entire staff at this office is amazing and I am so thankful to each and every one of them for their work and their kindness. You can really tell they care a lot about their patients. Through my dental journey there were a couple times I have needed to text or call them after hours and they've always been so helpful, and it never seemed like I was bothering them. Bryce is a great dentist! He's done everything on my teem from filling cavities, root canals and even an implant. Dr. Darden has been my dentist for a few years now and I have had excellent results from every procedure he has performed. I have had partial crowns, composite fills and just recently had veneers put on. All of the procedures were ones that I knew I needed from my previous dentist, and when I switched to Dr. Darden's office he recommended the same ones. He was not pushy but instead concerned because these same procedures were ones I had delayed for years. QUALITY DENTIST YOU CAN TRUST!!! My family & I have been going to Dr. Bryce for years (cleanings, check-ups, preventative sealants, cavity fillings, veneers, even teeth bleaching ) and have had nothing but positive experiences and results. Dr. Bryce has always been professional, made us feel comfortable, AND the bonus is that his work is high quality. His staff have always been super friendly, knowledgeable, and the office clean and sterile. Even after we moved about an hour away from his office, we make the drive to see him because we have become so comfortable and trust him. A few months ago I had an exceptional experience, and just had to leave a review! I've had minor gum recession for some time but it just started to get worse in recent years, causing sensitivity and discomfort. Dr. Bryce explained that a gum grafting procedure would help my problem. The sound of it made me nervous, I thought it would be major surgery and be very painful. Dr. Bryce explained to me a new state of the art procedure using AlloDerm that eliminates the need to make an incision in the roof of my mouth, and he would only need to work on the area of my gums that had the recession. I was surprised that a general dentist would be able to provide such an advanced procedure, but based on the quality that we've seen from him over the years, I trusted him and made an appointment to have it done. Surgery started with Dr. Bryce administering shots to numb the area, I honestly couldn't even feel them, and there were a lot of them! I was very relaxed, and I appreciated that he told me what to expect and updated me on the progress the entire way through. The procedure took a couple hours from start to finish. Dr. Bryce was very gentle, and I was comfortable the whole time, with NO pain! I was provided antibiotics, pain medication, a special mouth rinse, and detailed instructions on how to care for the area and was on my way. That evening Dr. Bryce personally called me to see how I was doing and to see if I had any questions. This just confirmed the impression I've always had about him....he cares about his patients, their comfort, and the quality of work he is providing. My recovery was smooth, no issues. I had my sutures removed several weeks later. I now have no recession of my gums, which looks better, and best of all feels better...no more sensitivity & discomfort. My family & I don't hope to need additional dental procedures in the future, but I'm glad that if we do, we have such a competent and trustworthy dentist to take care of us! read more

I saw Dr. Darden for four years at the recco of coworkers and while I fault myself for staying so long, I have to say that I did not have the best experiences there. His staff is wonderful, but I experienced long wait times, a somewhat rude bedside manner, and way too long appointments. I have never spent so much time in a dentists chair and, for example, a moment that sticks out is when I told him (after explaining dental horrors I've had in the past) that I used to have such beautiful teeth. His answer was "Oh really? When?" I can't say at this point that his work is inferior, but I can say that my experiences there were less than pleasant. I'd definitely move on to other dentists with more positive reviews. I cried several times in his chair, and perhaps that was partially due to my past experiences, but he didn't do a whole lot to help the situation. My bite has changed drastically and my smile will never be the same. read more

My teeth and gums were in bad shape from years of neglect on my part because I had such bad experiences with dentists, and I was finally forced to go because of the tooth that had broken. I moved to LA 8 years ago and had a hard time finding a good dentist. Dr. Bryce is the third I've tried here and is by far the best. I drive 45 minutes to see him and it's well worth it. He is extremely knowledgeable and uses the newest techniques and equipment. I trust him and his staff 100% for anything from cleanings to fillings to more significant work. At other dentist offices I felt like their cleanings were cursory... and half the time I felt like they were trying to do or sell something I didn't need. With Bryce I don't have any of those issues.
