BT & T is by far the most convenient and reliable service. I went in a got my oil changed all in 20 min with no appointment. They give fair prices when they replaced my brakes. I've been going to BT&T for many years. All in all the service has been good, but the falloff is becoming pretty evident. Three times they've misdiagnosed a problem and simply left me with the cost of their failings. In 2 cases it was at a significant cost to me. Additionally, they tasked me to come get one of my cars after they broke it. Imagine driving your car to a shop working and then having to tow it away. No explanation was provided, but the message was clear - We have no intention of taking any accountability. In their defense, Phu and the guys are decent with the basics (e.g. oil change, battery check, brakes, etc.). However, when you go beyond the norm in terms of service or have a high end car, you're rolling the dice going to BT&T. Sadly, I won't be back. Sometimes a little popularity/more customers prompts a casual indifference to customer service. read more

Let's be clear on what to expect. This is a no-frills inner city repair shop. They only fix what you ask to be fixed and will typically do it well. They will help you keep anything running for as long as you want and will tell you if your putting good money into something worthless (and will still do the work if you ask them to). The service is usually pretty quick and the prices are comparable if not less than hourly labor rates across auto mechanics. The shop is dimly lit and not meant to be a cozy place to hang out lol. I came in to get my headlight fixed the Guy quoted me a price of $80 but I had to get the part myself. I ordered the part online and then came back to have my headlight replaced he changed the price to $95 plus an additional 20 because he has to take pieces apart to get to the headlight in my car. I didn't like the fact that he did not honor the first price that he gave me so I ended up leaving and finding another place to replace my headlight for only $45 glad I didn't waste my money in this shit hole read more

**Rats got into the car while in the shop for repair at BT&T Auto Service and the shop owner did not even issue an apology and did not clean all of the sunflower seeds and rat debris and droppings from my vehicle. **Shop owner also had the car moved and repaired at a friend's shop which was not at all authorized by me. There are reasons indicating that BT&T Auto Service has been unethical, dishonest and has demonstrated poor practices and unsatisfactory facility upkeep. The check engine light came on only hours after the car was picked up from having the "engine replacement" done on my Lexus. Which is a Toyota made vehicle and connotes *Reliability. I returned at the first opportunity on the next available business day. Pointed out to Phu (shop owner/technician at BT&T Auto Service) that the check engine light came on and the car was shaking. He made no adjustments. Expressed that it's not his problem. ** Took the vehicle to another shop and they said if the engine was just replaced the check engine light should not be on and the car should not be shaking. Urged that it be taken back to the shop that did the repairs. Returned to BT&T Auto Service. Mentioned the car was brought to another shop and they urged that it be returned ASAP as the problem could be serious. The shop owner plugged the car up and did a diagnostic. He said the car needs a sensor and asked if I could get the replacement part fit my car and purchase it myself, bring it to him he sent me a text verifying it was the correct part but once I went into have it installed he had me come back the next day. But when I came back following day it took 2-3hrs for him to tell me it's the wrong part. I pointed out to the shop owner that the vehicle had a check engine light on when it was brought in for service. Notes: the other shop pointed out that the hood is not closing properly the. i.e. The body Lines are not matching up when the hood is supposed to close which potentially indicates the engine was dropped and something was damaged beyond repair and/or not installed correctly. An engine repair was done on this same vehicle at this (BT&T) shop months back (less than one year) and now that this has happened, the quality of the repair work and/or the integrity of the shop owner has strongly come into question. It's extremely difficult to trust the shop at this point and the car will not pass inspection for a check engine light after paying $2,200 for the engine "repair". Information I requested from the shop (that they still have not provided) 1. Vendor name/merchant ID (of where (the parts) engine came from since it was not provided anywhere on the receipt) 2. Year make and model of the vehicle the engine came from 3. Provide proof of the mileage on the rebuilt engine. 4. Written explanation of what exactly warranted an engine replacement on the final invoice 5. Is the odometer to be set on the mileage of the d engine or the new engine? 6. Why was the warranty info provided at the time of pick up was different. I Was told the engine would be warrantied for 1yr. as he did the repairs from last year by Phu the shop owner and At pickup he said the engine replacement is only warranteed for 90 days. 7. Why is the vehicle still shaking? Both motor mounts were replaced as well. 8. Itemized list of the exact parts switched from the old engine to the new engine (I've asked for this itemized list of the old parts transferred from the old engine to the rebuilt engine multiple times. I've since made multiple trips to the shop since the repair was completed to resolve this and get the car running properly. It was confirmed by another facility that the list of engine codes from the diagnostic are related to the engine itself. Those codes have been on consistently in the Dash since the repair of the engine. 10. Vehicle will not currently pass state inspection and therefore can not be legally operated; check engine light is on. Also I have the text messages screenshots from the conversation of the owner asking me to get the part for the vehicle to be replaced. which I agreed to do but once I returned with the part he told me it was the wrong part after he said it was the correct part. I asked him a couple of times if he could just order the part for me and he said it would be a lot more expensive if he orders it. I do not believe it's fair for him to ask me to purchase a part related to the engine when he claims to have completed services and failed to properly check the vehicle for it's release. Also It is unethical to only mention one code reading when there are a total of 6 engine codes reading on the diagnostic. The shop owner/technician failed to mention that there were six total codes showing in the dash that are all related to the engine. He only mentioned 1 which was for an oxygen sensor which he refused to replace for me. After taking it to another shop it's clear he didn't because the light would have come back on. The repair guy was so very rude, yelling and acting a complete fool when I tried to simply ask a question. He would not let me get a word in. I had my vehicle towed to him after he quoted a price and went up by $300 once I had it towed. I was about to question to the charge when he began yelling. I will pay for another tow before I patronize this company even if it cost me another $200 to tow. I will never go there for anything else. Very disrespectful and disappointed customer!! read more

Went in to get an oil change and found out that oil pan gasket needed to be replace and something else having to do with the oil seal. Phu stated the charge would be $950. Ok great, maybe a pricey, but I was prepaid to pay what needed to be paid because vehicle belonged to my son, who went to be with the Lord. So, while there, I told Phu that the sunroof was linking and he told us that he would fix it for free and that he would replace the bulb for the brake light too for free. Two days later, Phu calls to tell us that our vehicle was ready but he could not fix the sunroof. Ok, cool. When I get there, the sunroof was open. I asked Phu what was going on with the sunroof and why was it opened, he said that he could fix it and the sunroof will we brought it in broke. What!!! When I brought my vehicle in, we told him that the sunroof was linking, but was fully operational, meaning we could and close it! Now what used to be a sunroof is now a metal roof! Phu tried to lie and said we brought our vehicle in that, which is far from the truth. Anyway, I ended up calling the police because Phu was talking over me and lying which really made me upset. He put some dirty metal like material and taped it down, even after I asked him not to. Totally disappointed in the outcome! Whenever someone says they will do something for free....run! I have to put my baby back in the shop to install a new sunroof at the tune of $3100...wasn't in the budget, but I can't have my baby looking like that!!! read more
