My last and final visit; I brought my car in because it was having transmission problems. I received a call from Dan (the owner) the following day, and he said "your car needs a transmission, good luck finding one." So being very concerned I said, "what should I do"? He went on to say "well there's something called the internet." Okay, what does that mean? "You're going to want to find a transmission for us to install. I have my best guy out looking for one; he found one in a junkyard, it's $900 and it's a crapshoot." So two weeks of searching and looking for a place with a solid transmission that would be compatible for my car, I did manage to find one and Dan from SRAS said they would be able to do the job. They installed it and when I picked up the car he said "it drives good and shifts good." So I paid just about $2,000 to South River Auto Service and was under the assumption everything was fixed. Approximately four months go by and the transmission that Daniel Eisel and mechanics installed was already destroyed. If SRAS had been honest and said we will not be able to complete this job; I recommend you take your car to a mechanic specializing in transmissions. Especially, after all the money I spent and what I got in return. (i.e. Essex/Glen Burnie transmissions offer a 1-year/ 12,000-mile warranty on rebuilt transmissions and a 3-year/ 100,000-mile warranty on remanufactured transmissions) You will overspend your hard earned money if you take your car to South River Auto Service. Oftentimes, your car will not be fixed properly and you will be left with many issues to come.

That fan clutch must have been dragging, because now the truck is way quieter, adn is back to being the beast I love to drive every where. Goss Garage II. Goss quoted me $993 to replace what they claimed was a bad headlight assembly. They listed the part alone at $619. Before approving anything, I asked two very standard, very basic questions: 1. "What is the part number for this $619 headlight assembly?" Melissa told me, "Unfortunately we don't get that until the part arrives." This makes no sense. A shop cannot order a part without knowing the part number first. Big red flag. 2. "How much is the markup on that part?" Melissa said, "Unfortunately I don't have access to that information." Again -- impossible. Every shop sees cost vs retail in their system. It's how parts are priced. Another big red flag. Both responses were evasive and dishonest, and no reputable shop would answer those two questions that way. I took the car to another mechanic (Ron at the Mobil station on 301) for a second opinion. He found the REAL issue was simply a melted connector--extremely common with older cars. He replaced the connector and bulb for $113 and everything works fine now. I saw the owner of Goss respond to another negative review by comparing Goss to a steakhouse and talking about their "warranty." Warranties and steaks have nothing to do with overpricing and refusing to disclose basic information like part numbers and markup -- information every legitimate auto shop can provide instantly. I'm fine with paying steakhouse prices if that's what I ordered, but not if the restaurant can't even tell me what cut of meat they're serving! Bottom line: --Goss tried to sell me a $993 repair that wasn't necessary --Goss refused to disclose part number or markup when directly asked --Another shop fixed the real issue for $113 The upselling is off-putting, but the lack of transparency around parts is inexcusable. We will not be returning, and I'd strongly recommend getting a second opinion before approving any work here.

They had my car 4 days and just did front brakes and an oil change. The price was more than the dealer estimated they never called me and I had to co tinge to call them and they left Friday without calling me or letting me know my car would be there over the weekend because they don't work and no one knew anything about my car. I called Monday and said I must have my car back today. When they finished it I received a call to come get my car when would I be there to pick it up. When I got there and voiced my concern I received and apology from the manager and that was it. As I said it cost more than the dealer. This place isn't worth a second chance and I will be seeing if I can find the owner.

I've been taking my vehicles (BMW X5 and Mercedes E350) to Beamer Auto since 2022. Up until recently, they consistently provided good service at a fair price. Unfortunately, my last two experiences have completely changed my opinion. About 8 months ago, I brought in my X5. Communication was poor--I had to call several times just to get updates and an estimate. Since I trusted them from prior service, I gave them the benefit of the doubt and chalked it up to a bad day. This last visit today, with my E350, however, was unacceptable. I emailed in advance detailing the issues and received a confirmation for a 10 AM appointment on Thursday, September 18. When I arrived, the front desk person (Aaron) asked me to repeat everything instead of checking the email. I explained two issues: 1. The driver seat not returning fully upright (a sensor recalibration Beamer had fixed for me two years ago). 2. The passenger side headlight was flickering and going out intermittently. I was told I'd get a call with an estimate. Hours passed with no update. I called around 3:30 PM, no answer, and their voicemail was full. Eventually, they called me back but admitted they hadn't even looked at my car yet. Approx 4:30, I called again, because they close at 5:30. This time, Aaron said they wouldn't get to it that day but promised it would be checked first thing in the morning. The next day, still no call all morning. Frustrated, I drove 40 minutes back to the shop around 1 PM to pick up my vehicle. My car was sitting exactly where I left it. After waiting while Aaron looked at the computer and asking me the same question again about my car, I was told they couldn't fix the seat issue and that I'd need to go to the dealer (even though they had repaired the exact same problem less than two years ago). Then he incorrectly stated it was my driver-side headlight that was bad, when in fact it was the passenger side--the issue I had clearly outlined multiple times. Despite their lack of communication, inaccurate assessment, and the fact that my car hadn't moved, I was charged $158.75 for a diagnostic check. Based on my experience, I don't believe they even looked at the vehicle. After three years as a loyal customer, Beamer Auto has lost my trust and my business. If you're considering them, proceed with caution--buyer beware.

Each time has been non-eventful. I'm a meticulous individual, and I am always afraid of being on the receiving end of rim damage when getting my tires changed but have never had an issue. I was apprehensive about having them change my Model S tires because you have to put the vehicle in "jack mode" from the touch screen to turn off the air suspension and you need to use "lifting pucks" to lift the car under the side rails. It's not complicated, you just have to know what you're doing. I honestly printed the instructions out - and gave them a copy - and went over the process with a mechanic before handing the car over and everything went great. I also brought my own lifting pucks just to be safe. I appreciated everybody listening to my concern, even though I'm sure they would have been fine. But, you know, an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure! Good pricing, great people, I definitely recommend them.

The gentleman running the front desk was professionally charismatic and knowledgeable. Without an appointment, he took me right away, within 5 minutes. He put one of his mechanics on it and within another 10 minutes, they found the nail and patched it up. 20 minutes later, I was back on road, after paying the $20 fee, heading to work. I know at other places, it would have taken "all-day" to be seen without an appointment. I really appreciated their care and timely response, and costs I paid for the service. I felt like a valued customer and will return for other services in the future.

Fast forward to 11/21 I had my vehicle TOWED in because the check engine light started to flash (as shown in video) I originally dealt with Steven, that's whom I dealt with the whole time since bringing my car there, days went by, then I called twice since I didn't hear any updates as to what was going on, allegedly Steven was out sick so I spoke with James who would tell me what he thinks I wanna hear & give me the run around, weeks went by I called AGAIN, spoke with Steven, this time he told me "he doesn't know anything about the vehicle James is dealing with it & he's not in at the moment" at this point I'm started to get pissed, so I decided to pop up there 12/18 since there has been poor communication on what is going on with the vehicle. When I get there Steven tells me they still don't know why the car is misfiring or the check engine light is blinking. I had my car TOWED in at 163,538 miles(as pictured in video), when I got the car back 12/18 it was 163,615(as pictured) with NO GAS IN THE CAR & that is 77 MILES OVER. I understand that a mechanic had to drive the car around to figure out what's going on but 77 MILES IS COMPLETELY INSANE & UNACCEPTABLE!!! At this point I'm starting to think these are a bunch of basement mechanics they are only good for oil changes, brakes & rotors (the basic stuff) that's just driving people vehicles around & not really fixing anything. The worst experience ever I should've known having to go back 3x's for the same issue. Don't waste your time.
