There needs to be an option to give 0 stars Initially walking in, I was greeted by a manager and "seated". The server came and dropped two waters at my table. I was waiting on my friend to meet me and they knew that. So instead of coming over after 10min to see if i wanted anything besides water, I was avoided entirely. I flagged down the manager and asked him for an Iced Thai tea. When my friend arrived, we took a couple of minutes to look at the menu and were ready to order (closed our menus). The server didn't come over for another 15 minutes and asked what we wanted. We asked for 5/6 on spice, so we were expecting spicy. My thai tea finally came out after that, and I noticed that I didn't get a normal amount. It was filled with ice and not filled like it should have been(people at other tables had more). Appetizer: My friend and I sat at the table nearest to the kitchen entrance/exit. The server came out with a bunch of Appetizers, and instead of dropping ours off first, since we were closest, she gave everyone theirs first, and then finally circled back to us. Dinner: When our food finally came out, the server asked us who had a certain plate (after having taken our orders). She hands the plate to my friend, and brings my food out and leaves it at the edge of the table. At that point, im wondering if she did that for everyone, which I shortly found out, wasn't the case. She placed everyone's food in front of them. When she came to refill waters, she was negligent, and spilled water on my phone and then walked away. Also, to touch on the food, the green curry is not authentic green curry, I know because i've been to authentic thai restaurants in San Francisco, and that wasn't it. It was barely green, and wasn't spicy at all. The manager dropped off/picked up the check and brought our boxes. He wasn't any better at this point. Our server came back after and handed my friend a bag, and didn't look at me at all. My friend then asked her for a bag for me and she rudely handed it to me. I thought it was strange that they brought over one bag when 1. they knew we came separately, and 2. I had two boxes while my friend had one. Overall, we had horrible service at this restaurant and due to the servers attitude problem, we will not be returning. read more

This is one of my favorite restaurants. No matter which cuisine, Bua is one of my all time favorite restaurants. The staffs here are super friendly. The place is exceptionally clean and hygienic. When you go there you don't have to worry if you don't know Thai food 'cause all of their dishes tasted awesome. I would recommend this place to everyone! The atmosphere here is kind of interesting. The decorations are right on par with typical Thai expectations, but when I was there they were playing country music. Kind of interesting? The food was very good and affordable and the portions were large, but the service was horrible. We spent most of our time waiting around for someone to take our order and then take our plates away and bring the check. I wouldn't say the service was bad enough to deter me from coming here again, but I definitely wouldn't come here in a rush. read more

So we were really excited for this Thai place. A friend of our recommended. Went this Saturday 6/7/18 after a reservation. Took 5 minutes to get seated and saw 2 servers (Guy behind the bar with glasses and one girl) for 12+ tables! We didn't get water or greeted for 25 minutes after being seated. I cut my losses early. Worth the wait. Not sure what the issue was but it took what seemed forever to open. We loved the decor and the little touches that made it feel like we weren't right in the middle of Aurora. The menu has a larger assortment of hard to find Thai dishes that are not served in our more Americanized places. I can't wait to go back and explore the menu one delicious item at a time. The food here is very good! The service leaves you not wanting to come back! I've eaten at this restaurant a half-dozen times now. The service is always the same. You're seated and given a menu and water. The waitress comes back and takes your order. Your food is brought to your table. Then from here it goes downhill. The waitress never comes back to the table! NEVER! I've even had to get up and go to the counter to get my bill! And it's very hard to get the waitress to make eye contact with you when you need something. This has happened each time I've visited this restaurant with friends or family. The customer should not be left unattended to! BUA if you read this please talk to your waitress, waiter staff! This is poor customer service!!!!! read more

Tranquil with a bit of pizazz, loved the atmosphere! The decorations are unique and vibrant. We came here for lunch and ordered the Shumai, Yellow Curry, and Vegetable pad thai. The dishes had the perfect amount of spice and portions. The food was very very satisfying. I enjoyed that I was able to personalize the level of spice added to my dish. I have yet to receive worse customer service in any establishment than in this place. I spent almost 2 hours there, not of my own want. When I first entered the restaurant there was no one there to greet me, no sign telling me to wait or seat myself. Two waitresses/hostesses walked past me without so much as acknowledging my existence. It wasn't until I approached the bar area that one of them finally asked how many in my party and looked for a table. The place wasn't terribly busy for a Friday night, no wait time technically, but it was almost full. After being seated, my menu was dropped off a short time later. I waited for my guest to arrive and five minutes later she did. After being seated it took about 10 minutes for a waitress to return and ask if we were ready to order. No silverware/napkins had been brought up to this point let alone any waters. Not a big deal but that shows a lack of care for the customer when everyone around you is getting prompt service. After we ordered it took about 40 minutes to receive our napkins and silverware and another 5 for my food to arrive. An older couple right next to us that arrived 5 minutes after I did had already ordered, received their food, which included appetizers and had just left. When it was brought out the waitress just set my plate down on the opposite end of the table. I had to then reach over and grab it. What kind of a server does this? It took about 15 minutes for me to finish and in that time not once did any waitress stop by to check on us, but what looked like the busboy did. After finishing our meals I figured, alright the check will be brought out and we should be leaving soon. Wrong. The plates were taken but it took another 20 minutes for us to receive the check. In the meantime the waitress was able to fill our water up, so I know her priorities are set to a high standard. I've never felt this way at a restaurant. Like I wasn't as important as other guests. I definitely will never stop by again. The food was good enough, but the service so bad it's not worth it. The pad see ew I ordered definitely was not the best in town. read more

It's going to be spicy. Whatever you order, it's going to set your mouth on fire. Even if you order mild, even if you tell them "I don't want it a spicy at all." Doesn't matter, they don't know how to make things not spicy here. But if you want spicy, this might be your new spot. read more

I want to update my rating to five stars. Previously I had noted that there were spice level inconsistencies, but since then this issue has been resolved. When I thought about it, I realized I really needed to update my review because this place definitely deserves five stars. I also want to note that recently Bua Thai had been closed due to a family emergency, and we decided to go to Pearl of Siam. The food was no where near as good. I saw another review claiming that Pearl of Siam was better, but I have to strongly disagree. Bua Thai is definitely the best in the area no contest. I have passed by this place many times going to Sam's Club. Today my friend and I went for lunch. Wow. It really is beautiful inside. It looks like a Thai restaurant. We had the tom yum soup. This also included a small miso type soup and a small egg roll. Both were great. Soup comes in mild to spicy. It was so yummy. It's one of those things that you crave. Great service. About $16 for two for lunch. I definitely will be taking my family back here for dinner. Reasonable prices and if the rest of the food is as good as the soup was well it'll be fabulous. read more

I've had dinner here on a few occasions and in the past I really enjoyed it. The wonton soup is to die for! However, the soup is also $13.99!!! I recently ordered delivery through door dash and I'm disappointed. I ordered the pineapple fried rice which had tofu and mushrooms in it and the Shumai I ordered had mushrooms. These things were not listed In the ingredients on the menu and they ruined the dishes for me. Had I known I would have ordered something else. It was too expensive to not get what I wanted.
