Food was fantastic, Thai iced coffees, vegatable Pad Thai, Pumkin Curry w/Chicken, Mango Sweet Rice for desert, everything tasted fresh, medium plus spicy hot, just right, seasoning on the main courses was perfection. Emloyees were very friendly, but, the follow-up service after you have been served needs to improve, i.e.more water, needed more limes, couldn't find the waiter. Best thai restaurant I've been to in Colorado. No fake thai/chinese restaurant type of dishes. Spicy level goes from 1-6, 3 is already pretty hot, so can imagine what 6 would be like. And the decor is very on point. Hidden away in a corner of a shopping center. read more

We usually do pickup from here but we wanted to dine in this time. Food is delicious but I think they are understaffed! There was one woman running around serving the restaurant the night we went and the place was packed. We were seated for awhile and then we had to flag down the waitress to order as we were seated in the very back. Some time went by and then we had to flag her down again to get some water. We ordered the appetizer sampler, drunken noodles with chicken, mango rice, thai ice tea and thai ice coffee. Again, food was really good but we were so hungry waiting that we scarfed everything down as soon as we got it. We ordered the mild drunken noodles and I wanted a little bit more heat so I asked for hot sauce. The waitress brought it at the very end when I was finished so I said don't worry about it. I don't blame her as she was busy running around but I do think they need more people to cover the tables on busy nights like this (it was Friday night I believe). The food was super yummy and the atmosphere was nice and clean. We ordered the Pad Thai, Thai Fried Rice, and the Crab Wontons. It seemed to me like they were under staffed. We have dined at Bua Thai on a few occasions before last night and always had a good experience. Last night was not good at all and now I will not return again. After we were seated, it took quite a bit of time until we were able to give our order. I ordered 1 appetizer and 3 main dishes, all as mild as possible because my mother and father don't handle spice well. When the mango curry came out, it was so spicy I couldn't even eat it and I like a good amount of spice. When I told the gal she argue with me telling me they can't make their curries mild. We have ordered that very same dish at least 2 times before while dining at Bua and both times, we had no issue with it being too spicy. I ordered a different dish to replace the mango curry since it was too spicy to eat. When the gal brought our check, she was taking off 10% for the mango curry. I told her that is unacceptable and I will not be paying for that dish because I ordered it mild and they brought it to me spicy, not the way it was ordered. I explained again to her that we have had that same dish on multiple occasions with no problem. She finally went to look at the iPad that the gentleman took our order on to see how we ordered. Then she went to the computer to fix our check and take the mango curry off of our bill. She was clearly not happy about this situation. I don't appreciate that kind of treatment. There are a million establishments to dine at. Why would I return to a place that is going to treat me badly for their mistake? No thanks! read more

Excellent food and service. The crab wontons had a great flavor. Much more than just cream cheese. Our entrees were out fast and hot and spiced perfectly to order. I loved the flavors being robust and seasoned so much better than water downed westernized versions. We will be back!! read more

I was very excited to try this place out for dinner due to its great reviews. Unfortunately, my family and I were completely let down by the customer service and quality of food. Upon arrival, we were escorted to our table but our waitress rudely threw our menus on the table and did not come back with our water till almost 15 minutes after sitting down. There was no welcoming vibe nor did we receive adequate hospitality throughout our stay. I attempted to stay positive when the food came around but it's quality didn't even change my mind about the restaurant. My food came back lukewarm and I had to send it back to the kitchen because of how cool some portions were. My family and I will definitely not be coming back to this establishment. Very authentic Thai Food! I'm originally from the Bay Area, CA where there is no shortage of delicious and authentic Thai and South East Asian restaurants. After trying a few other Thai restaurants here in Colorado, I was not quite satisfied and worried that I would not have a solid "go-to" when I needed my Pad Thai fix...until I tried Bua Thai. Walking in, I found that the decor was very chic and cozy, and the dining area was very clean (a must!) The first thing we ordered was Thai iced-tea, which was absolutely delectable--a nicely-sized glass and it was the perfect level of sweetness. For lunch, I ordered the lunch special of Chicken Pad Thai, which in addition to being a great value (less than $8) also came with tofu soup and fried rolls. Everything was so fresh and delicious...I've definitely found my favorite Thai place, and can't wait to go back! read more

It pains me to give this type of the review, because I love the food! I love Thai food in general and this is one of the best quality of food places in Denver metro. However, I did not appreciate my most recent experience. I called to order takeout, was quoted 20 minutes. My food was not ready for 50 minutes (that's 30 over)! Even worse, no apology or acknowledgment of a long wait. I don't mind my takeout being ready in 50 minutes, if you tell me in advance! The last thing I want to do after work is wait for over half hour in the restaurant while your staff pretends like nothing happened. I'm thinking twice about coming back. read more

I eat here frequently and love the food. Service can be spotty which is annoying. However recently at lunch they have been lighting incense in the dining room. I personally can't abide the smell and it is very off putting when eating, they may as well light up a cigarette. Not even sure if this is allowed in restaurants. The first time I came here, it was for lunch. The service was excellent. The food, however, was only average. However, since it was a new restaurant, I figure that I would give it another chance before I write a review. The second time I stopped in was with my family. The first warning sign was everyone in here was WHITE. I won't go into details about how white people, with few exceptions, couldn't tell bad from good asian food. But here is my summary: Ambience/Decor: Very nice, one of the nicest Thai place in town. Also, the lady that took our order and service us this time was not very friendly. FOOD: Eggroll: average, but this is not a THAI eggroll: it is a chinese eggroll Soup: What the hell was this suppose to be? It is like a fusion of egg drop and hot and sour soup in one. It is not definitely Thai Papaya salad: Not even close. I asked for not spicy but it was still spicy because the sauce was already premade. But it was soggy. Thai fried Rice: this was what I had the first time but this time it was even worse. It does not taste like fried rice; it was also soggy. We could not finish this and was going to bring this home in the box but we forgot and left it there...probably for the best Pad thai: Almost but not quite. This was the closest thing they got but it was not there. Pad Krapow: I like it spicy but most thai places, medium is decent. But here, I should have ordered extra hot. They did not have an spices on the table. In any case, this dish was no where close to what Karpow suppose to be? I really don't know what the hell it was to tell you the truth. Summary: No, I would not be back. It is ONE STAR for the food. It can't be improved upon. It was not made for an Asian tongue. read more

The Thai food is delicious but the service is definitely lacking. This is my second try at lunch. The first time the service was strained but not terrible. This go round, it literally took 20 minutes to get my check and ask for a box. I then had to run the card up to the register so I did not have to do any additional waiting. Still waited 5 minutes by the register. If you have time to kill this place has great food. If not, I do not recommend it for an hour lunch break, even if you work across the street. read more

The food is delicious. I really enjoyed their food. Its hard to find good and real Thai food with good spiciness. So spicy and so good. I've tried many plates here and enjoyed every one of them. I like this place that I come often. The downside to this place is the portions are little gor the price. Another thing I really dislike is they don't give you enough steam rice. Every single time I come here I ask for more rice and they bring me a tiny little bowl of rice. Come on really? Another I time I came, I brought my family of 8 total. Tried this place for a dinner out with friends. A friend recommended it, said the food was good and she was right! We had the papaya salad, Tom yum soup and the tamarind fish, pretty satisfied! The service was ok though, it kinda felt like the staff was in a rush despite the half empty restaurant. Another weird thing- there were three of us at dinner and only our friend that sat closest to the edge kept getting her water filled, lol. Eaten here twice and once for take out.they dont deliver but there is free delivery through eat24hour.com but the delivery service said Bua was closed enen though it was open. So i had to pick up. The coconut soup is absolutley the most amazing thing ever! I would get it without chix the next time. Maybe shrimp. Chix was overcooked. Dry almost. Not sure how thats possible in soup. Had red curry, an eggplant dish (been a while so i cant quite remember) probably garlic sauce, my mom had drunken noodles or something like it with fat noodles and Pad Thai which was my least favorite. And this time the shrimp in the pad thai was over cooked. Lunch is a great deal. The server we had was very sweet and helpful. I have been here twice and I can tell you the food is good! It's better than good; it's really good. One of the issues is there is a language barrier and it has effected both my experiences. They have steamed dumplings twice on the menu. One is a dumpling and the other is a wonton. They should just fry the wonton and not offer it steamed as the actual dumpling is so much better. I should know because after they mad this mistake they left the food in front of me to make the dumpling and I figured since I was paying for it I asked them to fry it. I got the drunken noodles both times and the taste is amazing however I guess depending on the cook a 3 of 6 spice is different. Another post stated the spice went up to 10....? The place just is beautiful place and has character and great food. They need to get their food to be consistent and better customer service. We finished our meal but had to wait another 20min to get our dessert AFTER we've reminded them THREE times! We also had to ask for a water refill. That should be the first thing they have to keep an eye out for without asking. The table next to us also complaints about how long they had to wait to get their meal.
