Had hibachi steak burrito white rice pinto beans cilantro onions and peppers pico and guacamole. Big fat burrito definitely fill you yup. It was a good burrito the steak was better quality than I expected. The toppings were fresh didn't look old. The guac was an additional charge. Price was in line with other fast food value meals. The fountain products were Pepsi products so no lemonade or tea that I saw. There are a few New Mexican places opening around town. I'll try those before I decide to come back. read more

Haven't heard of this name or the brand before but wanted to try it. Location was slightly off .. limited parking outside but got one . Lots of free parking when I went . I should say a tie food was good . One good thing was , there were a lot of options for vegetarians . Buffalo cauliflower and lots of options . I just went for a veggie rice bowl and chips. . The quantity was great . Almost double the quantity from a chipotle .. rice , bean tasted good . Wish they had a tofu option for protein. I just did rice, bean, corn , onion and sauce . .. it was really good . Simple yet stomach h fulll meal .. service was exceptional. They were patient and answered all my questions . I am so disappointed with this place. I've been ordering from them 1-2x/week for the past few months and this evening my delivery (through DoorDash) was completely cold. The cheese on my order was hardly melted and the burrito was stone cold. I worried that the chicken wasn't heated properly so I threw that out right away. I called them to let them know that I did not want a refund or a coupon or anything (because hey these things happen), and that I just wanted to let them know. The manager told me that the DoorDash driver was late and that's why my order was cold and that I should take it up with them. Wow man, I guess he thought I was an idiot. Even if the driver was late (which they weren't because I could see the tracker online), why was the cheese on top of the dish not melted at all?? I usually order the salad bowl tostadas with chicken and all the fixings that's included. They have Pepsi products for those who like Pepsi. What I liked about the menu is that they have a ton of options for those that want tacos, burritos, quesadillas, salads, rice or cauliflower bowls and wings. We ordered three beef tacos, a chicken burrito, Buffalo cauliflower and a side of chips and guac. I give it four stars because I would have liked the food a bit hotter and the burrito wrapped a bit tighter. Overall, it's a great spot for a quick bite to eat with a variety of options. We got a burrito and bowl delivered tonight for dinner and thought they were pretty darn tasty! Honestly, I was kind of worried about my burrito because I got ghost pepper sauce, mango habanero sauce, and hot salsa in my burrito. I like hot food but wasn't really sure if I was making my dinner inedible. Luckily, it actually wasn't that hot! I thought the fried chicken was an interesting option for protein, so I ran with that and it was pretty decent (I may try steak next time, though). My wife liked her bowl and gave it a thumbs up. If I had one minor complaint, it was that the price was pretty high for my burrito. Yeah, I did get guacamole, but $13 for a burrito is a little steep. I think I may forego the guac next time and maybe skip the mango habanero sauce to lower my price point :) Overall, a pretty good alternative to the various large burrito chains in the area, and we'll likely be back sometime. read more

Underwhelmed but nothing overly negative. If you like Chip----- you might like this place. I stopped in for a quick fix and decided to try the tacos. That was my first mistake, they use soft flour tortillas that to me just do not pair well with Mexican- ish food. I tried 3 proteins, pulled pork was ok, not really seasoned and too wet for a taco, seasoned ground beef had less moisture but a weird taste, the seasoned chicken was the best of the three, I'd only opt for that if I were to return. My $2 shot cup of guacamole was ok, needed seasoning but at least it was not brown. The staff were friendly and efficient, and the place was very clean, it was near the end of their business hours when I got there. If I try it again I'll get a burrito. This is a tough location, much fast casual and fast food options around here. The previous restaurant I enjoyed more, but sadly didn't review before it had to close. Chipotle has certainly created a shift in the quick-serve restaurant scene. Bubbakoo's is another entrant into this market space with a few minor changes, more of a combination of Chipotle and Moe's. Where Chipotle minimizes it's menu in an effort to streamline the process, Bubbakoo's has a huge selection in terms of the proteins/mains available. Once you choose your entree and protein, you work your way down the serving line, selecting additional toppings as you go. I went in for lunch today, and the place was absolutely jumping around noon. Seemed like a lot of people checking out the new joint, but there were a few return patrons that the servers recognized and acknowledged in line, something I took as a good sign for a place this new. Eavesdropping on the group ordering in front of me, I opted for a chiwawa (according to the menu board, a "lightly fried panko crusted cheezy rice ball covered in nacho cheese and topped your way") with grilled chicken, corn salsa, queso, jalepenos and Sriracha ranch. It was quite good, and incredibly dense. I could barely get through it all, and at $8.50 it seemed like a good value. My wife ended up having a kid's meal beef taco and a side of rice & beans, which ended up being a nice sized serving for lunch. She enjoyed both. So, Bubbakoo's will seem familiar yet slightly different for most diners. I think the fun may be in exploring the huge number of options available. The service was still a bit slapdash, albeit very friendly, and the to-go packaging was not assembled/packed very well, but these are small forgivable sins that can easily be chalked up to a new business still working out the kinks. While this place doesn't seem to be anything particularly special, I do think I'll be back. I hope they have better luck than the two restaurants that have occupied the same space this year. read more

I came in towards the end of the night so this may be a reason why I felt everything wasn't as top notch as it could've been. I had not been to Bubbakoos is years and found myself feeling like a new patron again. I didn't feel the staff had much patience and assisted me with my ordering choices. I ended up getting a burrito bowl but when I went to sit down and eat it I felt as though it was missing something that's when I remembered that they had those special sauces. I really had wished someone pointed those out to me when I was getting my bowl together. I saw that some of the ingredients not look too fresh and it annoyed me that the server tried to give me the last few shriveled peppers and onions and then tried to charge me an extra dollar for those. I recently heard Taco Rita has a good product and I'm looking forward to giving then a try in the near future. read more

I loved this place. My wife and I went for lunch on opening day, and then we came right back for lunch the next day! We might have to restrain ourselves from coming here every day for lunch. The portions are huge and will leave you feeling very full. The proteins we had - the grilled chicken, the fried chicken, and the hibachi steak and shrimp - were all very tasty. And all the additional toppings included with each entree were top notch. We're not going back to Chipotle. We're probably not even going to go back to the Moe's that's located a couple of blocks away. This is now our go-to place for Tex Mex, and I can't wait to try out what else they have on the menu. read more

Sad to say not a fan of this location. Prefer the one on rt. 9 in freehold. Never been to chipotle or qdoba, moes(once) so not a fan of assembly line "healthy food"which is reality not..anyway stopped in with a friend, she was hankering for a snack..lol tater tots with cheese and bacon and of course her main reason was fried oreos( ick on all levels) tots were crispy and delish alone, bacon was nice but tasted more like beef jerky, and not enuff cheese sauce..As for the fried oreos, I can bank that to the tried it once and I'm done. Funnel cake like batter buried my poor delicious crunchy oreo into a soggy gooey mess, add powdered sugar and a drizzle of maple syrup? Omg diabetic coma!! Sorry...didnt like the consistency. Be aware that this location has changed hands and is being run by new ownership - and it shows. We ordered catering from this establishment last year and were so pleased with the results that we decided to order again. When I called to place the order, it was then that I learned that it was not the same ownership as last year. I was leery at first but unfortunately went against my gut and ordered anyway. The price for the same package went up $10 from last year. Understandable, I know inflation can be an influencing factor. We ordered the basic spread which claims it feeds 12-15 people. When we picked up the food and prepared to put it out for our guests (1O people - 8 adults, two children), we were mortified to see only enough protein to feed 6 people. We thought that they had surely made a mistake. My husband went back to show them photos of the meat given to us in the hopes they would correct the mistake. I will preface by admitting that my husband's approach could have been better, however, he was angry from the circumstances and embarrassment of not having enough food to feed our guests. The owner's reaction to an angry customer was not how this situation should have been managed. Instead of empathizing with the customer and trying to correct the situation, he was defensive and confrontational. In the end my husband was so angry with how the owner handled the problem that he told him to keep the additional food. Luckily Bubbakoos has competition right across the street and we were able to purchase supplemental meat to accommodate 10 people. Moral of the story, the 12-15 claim is completely misleading. They give you a huge tray of chips, 36 tortillas, a tray of cheese and a tray of lettuce. You also get two big containers of sour cream, two big containers of salsa and one container of pico de gallo. The fixings were definitely enough to accommodate the 12-15. With 36 tortillas, you naturally anticipate for 12, that would be about 3 tacos each. Unless, your guests are mainly vegetarians or children, the protein they supply only feeds 6 people. See photos attached. The steak tray is virtually empty while the tray of chicken barely covered the bottom of the tin. If you are looking to feed 10, order the next catering package up that feeds 25-30. Based on price point, it would be ridiculous to spend that kind of money to feed 10 people tacos. But, if you like their food that much, be aware that they are stingy with protein. The food was good, I will not take that away from them, however, the area is saturated with competition. If you want to succeed(especially in a tough location where other establishments have failed in the past), you need to make your restaurant stand out from the rest. Poor customer service is not what you want to be noted for. In the future, I will look to order through Moe's or even Taco Ritos just down the street. Both are excellent alternatives. read more

The food is good however when I ordered a be Nachos, they don't melt the cheese and assume you want qua-so instead of shredded cheese . They need to ask if you nacho cheese quaso or shredded cheese. I've never had this issue at any other Mexican restaurant. Communication is very bad between customers and when asked to melt the cheese , they would not do this for us. Just from coming here once, I think i might come back...and often. Bubbakoo's Burritos has a very modern and welcoming atmosphere, along with super friendly staff. They probably get this a lot but it's like chipotle and moes- but better. Maybe it's just me but after I have Moes or Chipotle, i feel all greasy inside, but when I ate here, I just felt happiness. I had the vegan boca patty in my burrito along with white rice, black beans, pico, corn, and the mango salsa. Pretty great combo! I would love to come back again, and i probably will! read more

I got a burrito with A1 steak, and IMO the steak tasted like it was slathered soy sauce, plus the rice... the rice was sticky rice... sticky rice inside a burrito is the most awfully feeling and taste ever. The boneless wings weren't that bad, but for its price I don't think I'll get it again, it was as much as a burrito... pricing was awful for its size. Fried Oreos could be better to, could've cooked the batter for a bit longer as well. For 1 burrito and 1 burrito bowl, plus fried Oreos and 8 piece boneless wings. It came out to be 35$ read more
