Price-wise, very comparable to chipotle, just depends on what you get & what add ons you order. Portion size - Speaking of just the burrito bowl, I do think the size is slightly larger than Chipotle. I will sometimes portion the chipotle bowl in half with containers at home, & half of the Bubbakoo bowls definitely took up more volume. Freshness - no issues here. Given the sheer amount of unique flavors and variety of combinations you don't normally see at build your own burrito place, I asked the server for recommendations, and was a little disappointed that the go-to recommendation was a plain chicken and cheese quesadilla, that I probably could have gotten anywhere. The portions were pretty large, but my quesadilla was dripping with grease to the point it was super soggy and hard to pick up. I think I paid 14 bucks for a chicken burrito and drink but I spent almost 15 minutes picking off the SUPER DRY, SUPER crunchy and HARD chicken (was suppose to be grilled chicken). TL;DR - order was thrown away before I could pick it up and no refund was issued. I place an order online for pickup, over $40. When I arrived they told me they threw away the order because they didn't think I was going to show up. There are some really good, well known custom order burrito places around- Moe's, Blue Coast, etc. but this place really stands out for unique menu offerings. I have been 3 times and each time got something you can't get anywhere else- General Tso's Chicken burrito! Hibachi steak tacos cooked in front of you! But the most unique thing is their signature Chiwawa. Let me try to explain this, but honestly you need to just come try it. It is a rice ball stuffed like a burrito and flash fried with a crispy outer shell from cheese... it is huge, Delicious and you can't go wrong because you choose what you want in it. They have lots of sauces to compliment your items. Very good place. Give it a try. While I gave 5 stars I almost took one because the drink selection is not creative. This newly opened burrito spot in Mt. Juliet was busy on a Sunday afternoon. There were many more options than the more known burrito chain competitor. I tried something called a chiwawa. It starts with this fried ball of rice (about the size of a softball) and the squish it into a bowl and you add the toppings to it. It was delicious. I added shrimp, white queso, cilantro, pico, and sour cream. It was really quite tasty and definitely enough for two meals! We got a side of very average tasting curly fries that were nothing special. Given the portion sizes, i would recommend skipping them. They had their own brand of hot sauce that my husband said had a nice flavor. I liked how they had cup lids that make it so you don't need a straw. They had some specials that are not on the paper menu but play in the video screen on a loop. The atmosphere was trendy. They have two huge TVs playing skater/Red Bull/tiktok type video clips.
