We absolutely loved this restaurant! Mexican food is near and dear to us. We go to the usual restaurants however this was the first time and NOT the last time we came to amorcito. It was 5 of us and all of our needs were met. Food, drinks, service, everything was 10/10. We won't desire to sit next to the bar bc of the gnats but no other issues. I don't always give five stars so this was a special experience. As we pulled up, the restaurant is very large and has plenty of parking. Very unique color and artwork on the building. If you go inside and look around it merits a walk around. There's unique artwork on the walls as well as your step and repeat with wings. Next you will notice the enormous bar! And yes, they're pouring big drinks. We had two different margaritas, house margarita medium sized and a berry flavored margarita. Both were pretty good, but notably served in a huge glass. $13.99 was a good value for this. The menu is also quite vast so you don't just need to have Mexican food if you have a picky youngster with you. They can have a nice burger or something else. If you want lighter food, they have salads and a vegetarian selection as well. As for the food, we all enjoyed our meals, and they serve very large portions. I had the three street tacos with rice and beans, Pastor and Carnitas. I'm a big eater and this was a lot of food. My wife had the chicken taquitos, fried to perfection and plenty of guac and salsa. Tasty and fried just right. The big winner of the table was the whole fish. It also came with some shrimp. It was perfect. We all got a bite of that and it was wonderful. One person can finish it, but I suggest sharing. Lastly, we got enchiladas with three different sauces. Very good blend here. Almost forgot that the chips were good and the variety of sauces were also fresh and flavorful. Regular red sauce, queso, some sort of avocado blend, which was spicy, and our server Abraham brought out some very spicy and hot red Chile per my request. Our server Abraham was fabulous. He took time to describe each meal for us and went above and over to make our experience great. We will certainly come back. Amorcito Corazon is tucked away behind a strip mall off Gallatin Pike in Madison. It's not someplace you're just going to casually drive by and say, let's stop there. Nonetheless, it's worth searching for. In a word, it's vibrant. It's colorful and energetic atmosphere means this is not where you are going to go for a quiet romantic evening. The walls are beautifully adorned with hand-painted murals and paintings, creating a truly unique and inviting dining experience. Now, let's talk about the food! The fresh guacamole is a must-try - chunks of guacamole, perfectly seasoned, and made fresh. We opted for the street tacos with consomé as the main. Tasty and flavorful- authentic. Though, those looking for a healthier option may not find these to their liking. Our server was attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed for a perfect meal. And, like restaurants in Mexico, and the rest of world, they bring the machine to process credit card payments right to your table rather than take your card to God know where to run it. The service was poor and the server seemed to have an attitude. The margarita tasted very watered down. My wife's friend ordered a frozen margarita and said the same thing. My wife ordered guacamole casera and was bought a small bowl of regular guacamole. When my wife told the server that that was not what she had ordered, the server told her she only heard guacamole. Amorcito Corazon is situated a block off of Rivergate Parkway near the Gallatin Pike intersection and occupies a large space that has been repurposed throughout the years, so only makes sense that a Mexican restaurant calls the ornately designed building home. They spent quite a bit of time and effort on rebranding the space from the once Asian inspired restaurant to Corazon. They added murals inside and out, a foliage/selfie wall and an intricately designed and painted bar top by a local artist. Outside of a few details you can see around the exterior, they nailed the vibe of a local Mexican spot. Everything about Amorcito Corazon is large scale including the 18-page menu, bar, dining rooms, beers, and margaritas. I have dined in and most recently a combination of dine-in/take out where I got a cocktail and some queso at the bar, while waiting on my dinner to be prepared so I can take it to go. When I bellied up to the bar, a menu was already near me, so I scooped it up and began reading it as the novel it is. After a few moments, I ordered the queso-chorizo and a small sangria for my time at the bar, and ordered the Arroz con Pollo to go. The queso was solid and featured a good ratio of chorizo to queso. House chips were standard, and salsa was good, can tell it was house made. Arroz con Pollo was plentiful, cooked well and covered in queso. Everything we have had here is your standard Mexican fare, which I am not mad about, as consistency is solid with what we expect and what we get. My main issue with Amorcito Corazon is the service. During our dine-in and my recent bar experience, service is lacking. Both friendliness and timeliness need to be addressed, more so at the bar than the dining room. The bartender that recently helped me was too busy cutting it up with friends at the bar to assist multiple customers at the bar. When he finally came over to get my order, he placed the order and made my sangria...then left it on the counter behind the bar and walked off. Multiple minutes passed and when he came back to the bar, he began serving others. I had to flag him down and point at my drink to finally get it. Was a bit annoying. The space, as noted, is good size featuring a massive dining area separated into a few different spaces that include booths and standard tables, and of course the bar seating. Majority of seating is indoors, but they do offer a small outdoor, uncovered patio. Worth noting that they do have 8 TV's above the bar, so I can imagine this place can get rowdy for a variety of sporting events. Overall, we really enjoy Amoricito Corazon . The space is well decorated, has a stellar vibe, is well maintained and kept clean...and they are slinging tasty Mexican fare and solid cocktails! With all of that, addressing the service deficiencies would be greatly impactful and appreciated. read more

Most of the time I come here I usually get the steak fajita. This time the juice of the meat dried up too fast. Which in my opinion is strange. The music is as about the same as any other Mexican restraunt you go to. Service was actually better this time. We decided to try a new (to us) Mexican spot this weekend, so we visited Amorcito Corazon. I had read some of the reviews and saw multiple recommendations for the Burrito Colorado, so we both decided to try it. Folks, that is one big burrito! Filled with steak, chicken, chorizo, lettuce, rice, and beans and filling up most of the plate. I believe my husband and I could have shared it, and we should have since neither one of us finished our meal because it was so much food. Although it had a lot going on, the meat was a bit dry, and I don't believe I will order it again. The complimentary chips and salsa, and the guacamole, too, were delicious, though. We stopped while driving through on our way to DCI Phantom Regiment Camp in Kentucky. Lots of Mexican restaurants to choose from in Nashville, but chose this one a bit north of the city and so glad we did! The restaurant is absolutely GORGEOUS with all of the murals! I loved it and the food was just as good. They serve BOGO margaritas, and cold beer. We had apps of cheese dip and elote and were impressed with the vegetarian menu, as one of us never has many choices. So nice to have options! Came here the other day for my Father In Law's birthday with a group of around 20 people, which they accommodated us right away at a huge long table. For the size of the group, and the fact it was last minute, they did a great job attending to getting drinks and chips to everyone, getting everyone's food orders etc. overall I think they did a great job. I didn't have a margarita which I see some people complaining about, but a few in the group did and I didn't hear anything bad about them. What happened to this place? Drink quality? Order accuracy? Server dismissive attitude? The margarita's used to be great whether it was frozen or not. I ordered an "on the rocks" version and my friend ordered a frozen version. We looked at each other after sampling and agreed the drinks tasted watered down. Basically, flavored water. We also ordered the guacamole casero, but what was brought to our table was not casero and the server disappeared after she served it. We waited forever for her to come back and finally my friend had to go find her. We refused it and told her that the drinks were not up to snuff-watery. She decided not to charge my friend but charged me $7.99 + tax =$9.77 for the watery drink. I was totally confused on her decision. Why one but not the other? So, based on this experience, I will not be back. We decided to go down Gallatin Pk to El Aguaje and experienced a lovely server, very tasty $2.99 margaritas, guac casera and shrimp fajitas. Decided to try this as our regular spot was closed for the holiday. We did takeout and got home to find half a meal missing. Drove all the way back and they did give the rest of the order no problem. Then when we got home and started to eat the rest of the order, all modifications that were made had not been done making that meal inedible. We finally made it to Amorcito Corazon for the first time last night. Everything was really, really good - the salsa, the guacamole, all 3 of our main entrees (grilled chicken chimichanga, burrito colorado, shrimp fajita taco salad). The service was good. The space is large and festive. The prices were reasonable and the serving sizes large. There are so many Mexican restaurants within a few miles of our house and we have tried most of them.
