My wife and I were craving some daytime margaritas so we stopped into Dos Sisters for a quick lunch. We were quickly shown to our table and our waiter was very attentive the whole meal, always checking back to see whether they could get us anything. I ordered the chicken fajita burrito, which I have to say was better than the average Mexican restaurant in the area. And let me tell you, those margaritas were strong. I walked in expecting to try a couple different flavors (if my wife would be so kind to drive) but one margarita was plenty! I can't say the food tasted very "authentic", but I'd definitely rate it towards the top of my Americanized Mexican (smother things in queso) restaurants. I'll be back again! read more

If you're looking to have several margaritas and eat some cheap Tex-Mex food, Dos Sisters is pretty solid for that. When we arrived, the place was empty but huge on the inside. We were greeted immediately and brought to a clean table. Our waiter was fantastic throughout our visit. We had a couple of margaritas that were STRONG. We usually order about 2 each, rarely 3, but one was enough here! The food was alright. It's definitely not authentic but anything tastes good when you're tipsy. I will say that their tamales were really good and I've never had verde over them so that was unique. Overall, nothing truly stands out about Dos Sisters and our meals tasted like any other Tex-Mex restaurant we've been to but the service is great and the margaritas are strong and delicious. read more

Overall everything was great! The waiter was friendly and quick and our food didn't take long at all! The queso is delicious and the burrito comes filled with so much protein and vegetables! This is a great Mexican place in Mount Juliet! It's a little dark inside, but cute and authentic. We were seated right away and the server was very nice. The menu is extensive, we ordered margaritas right away and they were great! You have options for pitchers too! The chips and salsa are fresh, the salsa has a good amount of spiciness. The Birria tacos had great flavor and crunchy! The dipping broth was so good that I was eating that after my tacos! My husband ordered a combination plate with a cheese enchilada and beef crunchy taco that came with refried beans and rice. We really like this Mexican restaurant. We've been here many times, but this is my first review of it. They have many options including some vegetarian dishes, so every should be able to find something on the menu that they like. The service is good and the food is good. The staff are friendly. I got the Ene's Chicken today which is grilled chicken, sautéed onions, grilled pineapple, queso cheese and a housemade hot sauce. My wife got the Burrito Picoso which is Beef or Chicken with rice and beans smothered with queso and it was HUGE. The ambiance is lights down low with Mexican music playing low. They have a full bar and plenty of free parking. This is one of the best Mexican places in Mt. Juliet. We enjoyed our visit to Dos Sisters. We were seated quickly upon arrival, and tortilla chips and salsa were brought to our table. We also ordered guacamole and queso for starters. The queso was your standard white cheese sauce. The chunky guacamole was super chunky, fresh and tasty. There was a sign on the door advertising birria tacos, so I had to try them. I asked for the flour tortillas, and it was delicious. My husband ordered the combo fajitas, and there was plenty of meat and veggies on his plate. food is good thats not the problem. the service is absolutely terrible. my and my fiancé came here to try a new mexican restaurant took about 20-30 minutes for our server to take our order and we had the menus at the end of the table signaling that we were ready to order. took another 30-40 minutes just to get our food. the table behind us sat for 5 minutes immediately took there order and got there food 10 mins after they ordered and we were here first and was still waiting for our food. we felt targeted. will not be coming back I miss when it was don ponchos. read more

I am from Southern California so I have had some of the best Mexican food on the planet. As you may know, there is an absolute dearth of Mexican food in Tennessee. We had our reservations about coming here but we were pleasantly surprised. All of the staples were very good, starting with very solid chips and salsa. The carny asada, grilled chicken, and ground beef tacos were all very tasty. The only thing missing from the menu is shredded beef tacos and taquitos. The waitress explained that shredded beef is not popular in this area. They have been open about seven months as of July 2, 2022. It's run by a family and their long time friends so they care and the service is good. Dos sisters is now in my restaurant rotation. read more

My friends and I enjoyed our entrees, I had the fajitas salad which the steak was perfectly cooked and a generous size but not too overwhelming. My friend got a combination with a cheese enchiladas and taco and her plate was clean by the end. Our friend who is strictly vegetarian was so happy with her vegetarian fajitas which had a nice variety of vegetables. She really liked. The servers and owner are so friendly!! Good Mexican food but a little pricey compared to other similar restaurants. This is the old Don Panchos for those familiar with the area. Same style and layout inside. Staff was nice and attentive to our needs. We ordered the guacamole appetizer. It was very good. Chips are not as thin as I prefer, but still good. Chicken chimichanga was good, but no wow factor. Portions were very adequate, and what you would expect from Mexican eateries. Overall, a good dinner. I will probably visit again, but due to price, this will not become my new go-to stop to satisfy my weekly Mexican fix. read more

I've passed by this place many times and assumed it was a tiny fast food place, and since every Mexican restaurant I've tried in Tennesse has been terrible, other than a couple of food trucks, I never gave it a second thought. We moved from Los Angeles so we had tons of great Mexican food. We were craving Mexican and it was right near a place we needed to be, so we decided to try it. This is actually a legit restaurant, nothing like we expected from the plain front in a strip mall by a dollar tree. Jersey Oven is in the same strip mall, but that's a small (but amazing) bagel shop. Our waiter was nice at first but then got weird because we asked if the beans had lard (they don't) and he had to ask the chef. We ordered the trio of dips for an appetizer which was decent. It wasn't like the delicious, fresh, queso melted in a hot cast iron pan that you get in California-it was a shot glass of Mexican cheese in completely liquid form. But it was still pretty good. Their guacamole was good as well. We ordered a double sized shrimp fajitas to share for 3 of us and couldn't believe how many shrimp were in the order, and good sized shrimp as well. The biggest surprise is that it was really good! We were seriously shocked. The tortillas weren't that great but good enough. That's the whole story. Coming from southern CA I was excited to find a Mexican place near me to try and I loved it! I got a little bit of a lot to try a good sampling of the menu. Everything was delicious. With Mexican places I feel like the most important components (to me) are some good rice and beans, chips, and salsa, and a good go-to taco. In particular, the salsa verde was so yummy and fresh, I loved the rice and beans, and the queso was addicting! I didn't try nachos this time, but the side of queso made me definitely want to give those a go next time! I tried the ground beef tacos, the street steak street tacos, and a ground beef enchilada and found them all yummy! My husband was just as happy with his shredded beef quesadilla, pastor street taco, and ground beef burrito. We finished everything off with a hibiscus tea for me (floral, sweet, refreshing!) and a classic horchata for my husband he loved and finished quickly. While out shopping with my mom we decided to stop somewhere to have lunch. Upon viewing Dos Sisters reviews we thought it a good option to eat. I ordered a beef burrito and it was extremely bland. The beef wasn't seasoned at all and really had no flavor. My mother got the beef chimichanga and experienced the same thing I did. No flavor to the beef. It needs salt and pepper as well as other seasonings badly. The service was great and we were greeted with smiles and friendly welcomes. The restaurant is cute and is in great proximity to shopping as well as other services. When returning I will be sure to try a dish made with chicken! read more

This is our family's favorite restaurant for TexMex cuisine. The salsa is always the deciding factor for us. It can't taste like ketchup or spaghetti sauce, and yes there are some restaurants in this area where that is the case. The salsa here is amazingly fresh, garlicky, cilantro-y, and spicy. We have tried almost all of the menu items and have never been disappointed. The servings are generous and economical. The second best thing after the food is the service. This place is great if you are in a hurry! You can walk in, order, eat, and be out the door in 30 minutes, even if it's completely full! Everyone is also so nice here!
