OK, Mexican food served by friendly staff. We came here on a weekday evening and the service was quite quick, though it was quite crowded in the building. They have a ton of menu items, and I opted for the shrimp quesadilla. It was a bit greasy, and the server did forget a side, but he quickly rectified that. I ended up eating, mostly the rice and beans that came with my quesadilla, and those were delicious. I didn't end up eating the quesadilla itself. They have decent chips and salsa when you get seated, and I do believe they use quite fresh ingredients, I just felt the use of oil was a bit overbearing and some of the seasonings on the fajitas that our table were a bit lacking. read more

We went back to 1 of favorite Mexican restaurants. We got the white queso to dip our chips. The queso was decent. We both ordered a side of sliced jalapeños to put on the chips with queso. We ordered the fried burrito and I received the parilla fajitas. The fajitas are delicious. Our waiter was horrible. He would disappear every other 5 minutes. He wouldn't refill drinks, get napkins, chips, etc., as soon as needed. His tip reflected. The food was great so go there but got a funky waiter. Anthony never again. read more

We are from New Mexico so I try to be gentle in my reviews and know being far from home won't taste the same. However this place just was so far from even being close to Mexican food. One of us ordered red chili sauce and it tasted like tomato paste. It was not good. One of us ordered fajitas and we had to ask for tortillas. I've never been to a place that didn't serve tortillas with fajitas. The combo meat fajitas we lacking the protein significantly and the overall price for everything was not worth it. We will continue to seek other Mexican restaurants and hope for the best. read more

I've been going to this restaurant for years, and I will say the food is always tasty, hot, fresh and fast. The service is always above average. I dont sit at the bar and I always go for lunch. I do recommend this place for lunch. It's moderately to low priced, depending on what you get. They do have weekday lunch combinations. No matter what, I always get a cheese enchilada on the side. Stopped here for lunch. They have a wide variety of lunch specials at great prices. I ordered a lunch steak fajita daily special - it also came with rice and beans. The beans were DELISH, the rest was average. Hubby ordered chicken and shrimp and said it was good. The staff still doesn't understand gluten free. They said all menu items have gluten, including plain lettuce. I asked the manager, hostesses, and waiters. They were rude about it, too.. This place is a hard pass for any one who can't eat gluten. read more

Our go-to Mexican restaurant in Mount Juliet is by far the city's best. Great ambiance with plenty of TVs to catch the game, the welcoming staff and tasty food is why me and my friends keep coming back. Good selection of beers and amazing top shelf margaritas quench and the staff keeps the water or ice teas topped off to quench your thirst. My go to is the Fajitas Texanas -- yes they laugh as I cannot quite trill in the correct enunciation -- but they are good and enough for lunch the next day. I also live the grilled / fried jalapeños as an appetizer and H&H love the fresh chopped guacamole. While there isn't any outdoor seating or way to make this place pet friendly, that doesn't stop this place from being packed on the weekends or big game night. The wait for seats always seems to go faster than they suggest, so don't let that dissuade you from having MJ's best Mexican food! read more

Kind of a late dinner with the hubs tonight. Came at about 8:15pm and they were on a wait. Margarita House is Always good, but tonight was GREAT! Food took quite a bit longer than usual to come out, and they were out of sweet tea at 8:30pm with no plans to brew anymore, but when the food came out, it was good (and hot!)! Rebecca, our Server, was FANTASTIC!! I ordered the shredded chicken chimichanga, and a water (since there was no sweet tea), Hubs ordered a burrito with a side of fries and a Modelo (which he'd never had). Great local Mexican spot. I did a pickup order of the Hot and spicy burrito, chicken fajita nachos, and chicken and shrimp fajitas. We were so hungry no pic was taken . The food was really good, the hot abs spice burrito wasn't spicy at all, but I also have a high tolerance of spicy. The are still doing margaritas to go, which I hope is here to stay. So if you're still not comfortable eating inside, you can get you food and margs to go! Every time I come here the ppl are really nice and the food is delicious. I usually try to avoid Mexican chain type restaurants as I prefer authentic Mexican places every time. But my boyfriend insisted this would be fine and quick due to limited timing. We have been going here from 2016 and first time today I was informed that they don't serve pitcher beyond 8:50 and their closing time is 9:30 instead of 10 pm. When we asked from when they stop serving pitcher he says 30 mins from close and it's up to them when. But they serve everything other than pitcher with drinks. They say they can close anytime they want to and don't have to inform the customers. I suggest never come here if you plan for have good time. This was one of our fav places but the behavior with customers this time was so rude! When they have no basic ambiance towards there customers . So, I'm person, this place is so yummy, but for trying to take out, I've tried on 4 different occasions to place a to go order and they don't answer the phone, just flat out rings and rings, middle of the dinner hour, I don't get it. Tried this last night and I didn't like it. Well coming in I was greeted properly and it seemed like a nice place, was seated quickly. It took awhile to get drinks and chips and salsa. They wasn't overly busy. I ordered grilled chicken chimichanga with shrimp. It was rather small and it came out pretty quick. It tasted fine until I got middle ways thru it and it started tasting like tuna and looking like tuna. Idk how in the hell that could happen but it just turned awful. I only had 4 shrimp in it also. Well first of all the table we received was dirty sticky greasy pretty much and cleaned. A server came over to clean it basically just wiped it still remains sticky but thankfully when we slid in we were able to dry the seats off with our pants. The salsa seem to be made from canned whole tomatoes ground up a few spices at it so it was rather runny flavorless soup. Any Mexican restaurant that serves ground beef as an ingredient for a taco or burrito should be a clue that that restaurant is not Mexican rather gringo. Also it was rather disgusting that some of the meals were topped with a cheese sauce really. Furthermore they over salt the food. The next morning we bloated up like the Michelin tire man. Service was fair but overall you would have the same Mexican food at a cheaper price if you went across the street to Taco Bell. Bottom line this place is GHETTO. read more

And I am posting this a week late so its not the margarita talking. They do serve strong margaritas so I warn you only have one if your driving and try to finish it before you eat. The prices are in line with most other places. Food quality has always been fresh cooked and tasty. I also really liked there Salsa, it has a little bit of a bite to it but I like spicy salsa.
