Fried Catfish Dinner (not pictured - Coleslaw)
    Melisa F.

We stopped by Bubbalou's for my usual order of Brisket. My son decided to try the Fried Catfish Dinner. I had ordered ahead for pick up. Upon our arrival, we were greeted shortly after entering. The restaurant was a bit busy. We were asked if we were being helped. I informed the staff member we haven't yet and that I was there to pick up an online order. Once we verified the name on the order, she immediately returned with the order packaged and ready to go. We verified the contents and departed on our way home. I enjoyed the Brisket as usual. The flavors and juiciness of the Brisket is what keeps me going back for more. The Fried Catfish Dinner was good. The catfish was cooked well. Everything else was as you would expect. Overall: A Will of course return in the future for my usual.

Pulled Pork Sandwich with fries and beans

A must try BBQ in the area. The pulled pork was so tender you did not need sauce. But their sweet bbq sauce goes great with it. The fries were good even for crinkle fries. The beans are an absolute must. I would've ordered two sides instead of their fries. The sweet tea has free refills so take advantage! [[HIGHLIGHT]]We came for lunch and it was crowded but indoor seating was available.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Chicken and ribs with collards and beans (5 out of 5)

The Baseline: For a sit down chain BBQ restaurant the bbq meats must be quality/tasty, the sides need to be a good accompaniment to the meats, the smoke flavor must be present, drinks should be stiff, service should be efficient, and the restaurant should have character Food: The meat is the star of the show at Bubbalou's. Beef, Chicken, and of course Pork are the stars of the show here. Way back in 1999 I first came to this spot and loved their pork shoulder which is my testing point of good BBQ, because a pork shoulder shredded is a hard thing to mess up. It was awesome then and it is awesome now. This visit I was able to try the pork shoulder, chicken, brisket, and pork ribs which had a great smoke (the smoke rings were really solid) and the flavor of the meats were just the right amount of smoke. The sides are also great with the baked beans mixed in with delicious shreds of smoked pork, the greens were salted and cooked down, and the Cole slaw helped cut the fat from the meats. There are five main table sauces (listed sweet to heat: Sweet, Mustard, Mild, Hot, and Killer) but you can ask for the true hot sauces that are kept behind the counter (Hank's and Psycho which will bring the heat to your meal). Service: I had great service at the restaurant. You order at the counter and they bring out your food for table service. Staff will come out and ask if you need anything else and are attentive. They help make a great experience. Ambiance: [[HIGHLIGHT]]You walk in and smell the smoke. The decor is that of a southern BBQ place and it does it all justice[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Tables are clean and well serviced. The bathrooms were clean and well serviced[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. Good amount of parking and they have great merchandise. You will enjoy eating here.

Not really impressed with this place. The pulled pork was quite bland and needed to be drenched in the sauce. The "garlic bread" was just bread, no garlic taste. The service was good, we were greeted and able to order promptly. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The inside was clean and is a pretty big space.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Coming back to give an update review. This is my favorite spot for bbq, and I'm glad they are still around. [[HIGHLIGHT]]You're always going to get some good country music, delightful staff, and good food.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It's also nice to see the same faces when I come in so they must be doing something right. Ribs are some of the best in the city. The smoke ring is always there! The rub is excellent. I definitely recommend this establishment.

When we arrived they gave us menus to review. we ordered a half pound of four meats, pulled pork, pulled chicken, sausage and beef brisket. Then we orders a selection of sides. We placed our order at the counter and we found a table outside. When our selection was ready, they brought it over to us. Every group receives a number we placed on the table so they could find us. Try the killer barbecue sauce. It has a kick to it. They have five different types of barbecue sauce to choose from.m but my favorite has to be the killer. We had plenty of meat to go round. My favorite was the pulled pork. Sharing we had the opportunity to try a selection of meats and sides Whenever I get the urge for barbecue, they are at the top of my list.

If you were looking for a sweet delicious southern barbecue in the Orlando area. This would be my number one recommendation. However, I do venture to say that the Conroy Kirkman location is by far the best one so if you're planning on having Bubbalous Bodacious Barbecue, I would head on down to this location! Their baby back ribs, corn on the cob, and all other fixins are delicious!

Quarter chicken basket with potato salad and coleslaw. 13 dollars
    Arun K.

I went with my friends on a Friday evening. It was not crowded at all when we arrived, and we ordered at the counter. I had the quarter chicken sandwich basket, which came with two sides and bread (about 13 dollars). After a couple minutes wait, our food was delivered to our table. The chicken was hot, tender, and juicy. The killer bbq sauce that I added gave the heat I needed. I had potato salad and coleslaw as my sides, and both were delicious. They cooled down the heat from the sauce, which made a perfect balance. The toasted bread was nice as well. I felt that the food was a small step above four rivers. The service was good, friendly, and helpful. While the ordering was counter service, the food was brought to you and they also offered to take it away when you were done. Drinks were brought to you as well. The atmosphere was very casual with only a few booths inside, and maybe some outside as well. I believe beer were the only alcoholic drinks offered. Country music was in the background, but I think they should have Ricky Ricardo singing their theme song! I did see a small elephant statue in the back, but it didn't look mountable. Parking was relatively easy in the complex, but it could be difficult to get out from the traffic light as it gets crowded often. Bubbalou makes a very good bbq. Sadly they lost some stores, but glad to see the Windermere branch is still there and offering great food. Since it's pretty close to my parents house, this would be my choice for great bbq in the Metrowest and Windermere area.

I haven't been to bubbalou's bbq in years and decided to try it for dinner the other night. The food is OK nothing to rave or write home about . I remembered now why I stopped going to this place. The food is kind of bland. The service is good. The cashier made some recommendations since I hadn't been there for a while and I was grateful for that. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambience is nice. You were able to sit down and enjoy your food.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Pulled pork, pork, ribs, and brisket. Side of corn on the cob, coleslaw baked beans and garlic bread.

Might've been the best barbecue I ever had. Brisket was moist and tender. Pulled pork and ribs were off the chain. All sides were great as well. Baked beans, grilled corn and coleslaw all spot on.

Great place for BBQ food, the person on the register, very nice and recommends good stuff. Not a place to come with not so much hunger, lol.... Great food! Nice ambience and good service, very clean place.

I've been coming here for about 10 years now. It's always good! The sizes have gotten smaller but I think the food is always hot and exactly what you would want at a BBQ spot! Service is okay, ambiance is family friendly. Prices are decent. Lots of options! Love their sauces on the tables. High chairs available. Restrooms are a little sketch. Inside and outside seating available!

When we arrived the line was out the door and went around to the back. It was hot, but the team took great care of us. They made sure everyone had water, and for those of age they even offered one Smokemade Lager from Ten 10 Brewing. The line did move at a slow and steady pace. And I appreciate them for offering the waters, the beer, and for managing the line and keeping it orderly. Once it was my turn to order, I did my best not to order everything, but also did my best to pick some favorites. While there was only four of us, we wanted to have a spread and have leftovers. So I ordered two brisket sandwiches, one pulled pork sandwich, one philly sandwich, 6 ct- tallow fried wings (hot korean bbq), large side of cheddar grits, large side of pinto beans, large side of mac and cheese, and a large side of potato salad. When the sandwiches were being made I was immediately impressed by the amount of brisket and pulled pork being put on the sandwiches. While packing our food, I noticed they threw in a loaf of bread. When they handed it to me, I asked if the bread was our ls and they said it was. We didn't order it, but I am thinking since our order was over $100 it might be something that is included, not very sure. Once to my destination we unpacked all of the food and laid it out. It all looked so good, and the smell was out of this world. Everyone quickly made plates and dove it. It didn't take long for us to start commenting on how delicious everything was and that we loved it. The sandwiches were generously packed with super flavourful meat. The cheddar grits were amazing. Some of the best mac and cheese I have had. And the pinto beans were great and I loved the meat they include in the. While we all thought the potato salad was good, it was the least exciting of everything. I think we all prefer a wetter and more southern style. My wife did enjoy her philly, but did make the comment that it was more brisket tasting and not enough philly like. It was also packed with meat and looked amazing. The wings were a nice little addition, great flavor and cooked perfectly. And that free loaf of bread was fantastic, it was similar to a potato bread. Everything was so good and well with the wait. I look forward to my next meal here. The staff was phenomenal and so helpful. Everyone was in great spirits and did a wonderful job, especially considering how busy it was.

The mac and cheese also left me wanting more it just wasn't as rich as I hoped. That said, their collard greens were outstanding truly the star of the show. And the butter gooey cake? That was a sweet win. I also tried their Frisco fries, and they were decent, but I wouldn't rush back just for those. The ambience is really laid-back. It's like any regular barbecue place. I saw at least 3 to 4 tables of people sitting down and enjoying their barbecue and they seem to have a steady stream of traffic. The cashier who is also getting our food order together seemed really nice. She had a great personality. I honestly don't feel the need to go back and visit again. It doesn't say on the app but they also have bottled water. Overall I felt this restaurant lived up to all the hype. Check the app for $5 off on your first order. See QR code in the picture.

Volcano Hot Pot & BBQ is one of my favorite local AYCE. I've been going there since they opened…read more It's a clean and modern aesthetic with typical hot pot and grill at the tables The staff and servers are always attentive and nice. The front staff remembers us every time we go. I am obsessed with the herbal and spicy hot pot, so I usually have them make it 50/50 mix. The vegetables are fresh and there's a wide selection of meats and seafood. I also like to make my dipping sauce with the garlic sauce blend. My favorite is the Galbi which is seasoned well. Both savory and sweet. Another obsession is the asago dessert which is a tapioca pearls, black beans, fruits and jelly in a sweet coconut milk. I really enjoy going here since it's a good alternative to other AYCE in the surrounding vicinity because of the better quality. I want to see this place get more traffic because it's hidden in the old JoAnn's shopping center next to Aldi. There's plenty of parking in the commercial lot.

You can pick one or add the other for only $5 more. They have a good selection of meats, veggies, and others. The app selection isn't my favorite compared to other restaurants but still varied. And the sauce bar is always stocked. If you're hungry, this is the place to go!
