Best pork & brisket around! Don't least once a week. Food and service is excellent. Fresh homemade sides

Came in here with 3 coworkers. Started with an Arnold Palmer to drink and a full order of Redneck nachos (AKA, crinkle cut fries) with pulled pork and cheese. Food starter to share for 4. We all ordered off the Sammich Menu. The other 2 guys got the Big Ole Bubba which was a massive pulled pork sandwich on toasted buttered Texas toast. I ordered the brisket meltdown which was a huge brisket sandwich with onion rings on the sandwich on Texas toast. I got a side which was 2 jalapeño poppers wrapped in bacon. Yummy. This place came highly recommend by the guys that are local and they hit the nail on the head. This meal was a knockout!! I hope to come back down from CLT in the future and have a repeat visit to this great eating establishment!! 5 stars and I'd give it 6 if t was an option!! read more

First time back since the fire and they have reopened dining room. Went through drive in and got the Bubba Special. The food was excellent and really enough for two meals. What the Kazbours have created is a "culture of excellence" in their business. From the quality of the product (meats and alls sides) through packaging, and employee quality. Hubby and I stopped here on our way to a concert in Tampa. Selected this place based on previous reviews. WOW! The daily special on Monday was 4 St.Louis style large ribs, one side and Texas toast. Hubby chose the larger two side option of coleslaw and jalapeño poppers. He loved everything, awesome coleslaw and the poppers were wrapped in bacon, so how could you go wrong? I ordered collard green for my side, and they were hot and tasty. Our ribs were outstanding and we both really like the choices of bbq sauces - our favorites were Tractor Grease and Alabama Slammer. Good brisket and sticky bones like the Riverview location better than the Sun city location not sure if their service is due to lack of options since the fire but they don't seem all that friendly in Sun city. read more

I love this place!! Especially the atmosphere and interior decorations. The Ruskin location recently had a kitchen fire and are remodeling. Meanwhile, they have a large tent and outdoor dining. That speaks volumes to me. Most places would just shutter and wait. Not these folks!! Kudos! I have tried nearly everything on the menu, the only complaint I have ever had is the Beef Brisket is greasy. I usually just blot it off. It still tastes heavenly. Love the fried okra!! Amazing food and service! Decided to stop in while in the area, I usually visit the location in brandon through the drive through. Our server was very nice and quick. The food was amazing as well as the sauce options. The fries came unsalted but each table has salt provided to add to your liking. Whenever I'm in sun city I will stop by again. read more

Mixed feelings... So apparently they had a massive fire in the building several months back and are in the process of renovating. This review is of their interim setup. While you can't go inside during renovations. BubbaQue's is operating out of a food truck located in the restaurant parking lot. They also have limited seating for "dining in" under a tent. The servers were friendly and polite. The menu is a bit limited on account of their current setup. I didn't see a smoker or pit, so I think the truck may just be warming up food prepared offsite. The food tasted decent. However, I had several shards of bone in my pulled pork, so i didn't let my kid eat any of it. They just ate the side dishes. The sauce came in packets, which means it was done off site. I'm not sure if it's generic or the restaurant's own original recipes. Overall, I applaud them for trying to continue business after the fire. I won't go back while they're in the food truck but I'll give them another try after they reopen in their traditional configuration. read more

Bubba cues is a nice place. I didn't really enjoy the food but the ribs were very tender and tasty. I didn't like the fried corn because it seemed a little dry and nothing like butter or seasoning was on it. The beans were OK. My husband said the brisket was dry and the pulled pork was dry. The fried okra wasn't really seasoned. And the shrimp had a lot of breading on it. So you really couldn't taste the shrimp. The fried green tomatoes were OK but they also had a lot of breading. The sweet tea was not as sweet as I like it. But it's about preference like everything else when having bbq. The service was top notch. read more

Had lunch at the bar today and Jessica was a highlight as well as the rest of the team. You can tell it's going to be good when you're welcomed before you even get through the door.
