So imo the very best thing from Jersey Mike's are their brownies (shhh I am very much a dessert before food-food person lol). Fudgy with that crisp top. But sub-wise that tuna fish with the chopped relish, dill pickles, etc on rosemary parm bread has got me in a chokehold in the best way possible. I've ordered from this spot specifically and it's consistent and always on point, with plenty of tuna fish on the sub. Through the app I ordered 4 sandwiches for delivery. 1 giant steak kahuna with special instructions to add lettuce and tomatoes. Then one small kahuna as is and 2 more with just meat and cheese. When the order arrived all the sandwiches had lettuce and tomatoes instead of the one. I called the store and explained. The young girl that I spoke to said there wasn't a manager there on duty and that we would not get our food remade or a refund but would receive a call later. I've never heard of such nonsense. I called a different store in riverview and inquired about this. The gentleman informed me that there should always be a manager on duty and he wasn't able to remake it because it would be under his food loss which I completely understand working in the fast food industry for over a decade. That gentleman proceeds to call the other stores manager which is the only reason they called me back. The manager wanted to tell me that the ticket is confusing on their end because it says lettuce and tomatoes for ALL sandwiches and not just one. I took time to subtract the things I didn't want and wrote a note on the ONE sandwich I wanted to add ingredients to. She told me that I was the one who put the order in wrong and that she would only be making the two sandwiches that needed just meat and cheese. I couldn't understand why she was only making two and not the third one that didn't need lettuce and tomatoes. She would rather argue with me over her system then make my order correctly! I was willing to drive back to pick up my order and give the sandwiches back. We spent $65 on this order and was refused a refund and proceeds to tell me that she will call tomorrow! My entire family didn't get to eat the dinner that was bought nor could I get my money back to buy them something else!!!! Big bend location. read more

I have continued to be a fan of this Sub Shop. During the COVID shutdown, we frequented here as we could easily pick up food. Now that it's up and running, we actually ate inside today. I ordered a regular sandwich, and then when I realized my husband wouldn't have been thrilled with having to split it with me, I changed to a Grande. The staff was so nice and accommodating even after they had already started my first sandwich. To top matters off, I had a gift card, which wasn't something the person at the register had ever encountered, so he leaned something new this day. Everyone was very helpful and patient. Called to ask if they were honoring Veterans Day free sub for veterans, the woman who answered hesitated and said jersey Mike's are franchise and independently owned and operated, and were basically only giving away a free sub to basically older gentleman with a military ID who looked like they served in the Korean War, World War II, or Vietnam War. We ordered for pick up through the Jersey Mike's App. We had a giant Super Sub made Mikes way and asked for extra vinegar on the sandwich in the special instructions section. We also ordered a giant Portobello Cheesesteak plain. Both sandwich were made exactly as we asked and were delicious! Jersey Mikes is our favorite sub shop of all time! Everything is so fresh and they use the best quality meats and cheeses of any of the chains. Their employees are always nice and friendly. Their stores and bathrooms are always clean. The Big Kahuna steak sub has been one of my favorites here for a very long time. The sandwich is fresh made and the comes out piping hot, so give it a minute to cool down so you don't burn your mouth. The cheese perfectly melts to intertwine with the meat, jalapenos, peppers, and mushrooms (no onions for me). The bread was fresh and everything tasted great. This is one of my all time favorite sub shops to grab a quick bite to eat. Highly recommended. This location was clean and the staff was quick and worked well together. read more

I am just so impressed with the young man that was working the register today at noon. I hobbled in to buy myself a sub after having shots in my knee at the nearby hospital and when it was my turn to pay I ran my card and it said insufficient funds. I was surprised and asked him to run it again. It said the same thing but the young man said it's ok mam you can take it. He said it all quietly as not to embarrass me. I went out to my car and transferred money from one account to the other and went back in to pay. He ran my card again and it went thru and I thanked him for being so kind. Purchased a Philly Steak Sub to go. Got home and started eating. After several bites, discovered, thought for some reason a piece of foil. Discovered, instead a disgusting long finger nail in my sandwich. Called to complain and manager said must of happened via the distributor. Could care less where it happened, but was in my mouth. Vowed never to purchase again. Back to Publix for subs although after this experience, may be a while before I eat another sub. This place was absolutely disgusting. I am a loyal jersey mikes customer and have been since they came to the brandon area. I have been to this location twice now and am extremely disappointed. The first time was ok but the second time this past Thursday will be the reason I probably wont be back to this location. First off let me start by saying the food was jersey mikes great as usual. The problem was with who I believe was the manager she was very loud and aggressive towards her staff and was kinda rude to them. Now i am creature of habit and always order the cold roast beef sandwich but this time i decided to get a philly. Well when it was about done i said can i get some toppings and the same woman as before told me i should have said something when i ordered because thats how it works. I didnt know this because i never get a hot sandwich amd they always dress my sandwich in front of me. She was rude about it. Same lady as i was paying got ab attitude with another customer for doing the same thing i did which caused them to walk out. Very poor customer service in my opinion. read more

This really sounds weird but....Tonight I went to Jersey Mije's on Big Bend in Riverview andordered 2 Italian sandwiches. I watched the young man make the sandwich ahead of mine and it looked so awesome! Mine looked even better. I told him they look like a work of art. I didn't know a sandwich could actually look beautiful and like art but the way he makes sandwiches look is awesome. Jersey Mike's should find out who he is and have him make sandwiches for ads because they look beautiful, like a work of art! Thanks young man! We went to Jersey Mike's again and once again the sandwich was awesome! I found out the young sandwich artist name is Darin. He is such a kind and humble young man. Owner, please give Darin some recognition! For doing an outstanding job representing your store. In addition, Alex was our cashier and he was very helpful making sure we had all of the extra items in our bag. Alex does a great job too as well as the whole crew working each time we come in. So the food is good, and quality ingredients are used. So Why two stars...? Well the "experience" was poor. Acknowledging this is a new location (open for only a couple weeks) and this is my first visit to any Jersey Mike's. First, the ambiance is not welcoming. Second the order flow is not good, it appears that no time was spent on the layout so things flow well. The are six people visible ("working") but they were not working well or with each other. The layout of where things are is not good. It just might take time for the people to start working well together, who knows. There is just an air of "not working". The price was not high, but it was no way "low". Bottom line... the food is not good enough to bring me back to witness the madness. read more
