We stopped here in hopes of good bbq. They were remolding and only had outdoor tables which wasn't bad with the fans and shade. There were alot of flys though. My husband ordered the rib meal which was pictured with at least 8 ribs on the menu with sides. It came out with only 4 ribs for $16!! Not to mention nothing was fresh all tasted like it had been heated up including the sides (beans and macaroni) which were hard and crusty in some spots. On top of that no ice tea or any drinks. Can sodas were $3.00 each! It was $12 just for our family of four to have a can soda which were gone before our food even arrived. This place comes SO close to being 5 stars. The food was Great ! It's a bunch of little things that held it back. The BBQ was outstanding. The meat was cooked perfectly. I enjoyed the various BBQ sauce options (found myself mixing 2 of them together). The french fries were crispy but not over cooked. So what were the negatives ? ? The chili had GREAT flavor but was runny (almost watery) and they don't have sour cream. (Chili & No sour cream ??). The service polite & friendly but I had to ask for a spoon for the chili and then I needed to ask for knife & fork when the meat & Mac n cheese arrived (should be set out as soon as the server greets a customer). The beer selection STINKS ! No I don't want Bud, Bud Lite, Miller, Miller Lite etc . . . Not even a Sam Adams which I consider a better generic beer (and NO Heineken doesn't count either). REALLY REALLY needs some micro brews or local beers like Cigar City or J Dubs. Ok so you got the idea GREAT food, needs to improve the other stuff. I will definitely give them another shot. Typically this is a good location. Today not so much. Apps were good but once we ordered the entrees, it in the toilet. After ordering they come back and tell us they are out of brisket. Out of one of your main meats at dinner, on a weds. Ran out of what was cooked but "they might have more by closing in 1 1/2 hrs.." lol ok not waiting for that. So I went with pulled pork. It comes out cold, not warm and its cool but it was literally refrigerator cold and just the outside edge of the pile was hot. It was apparently microwaved to heat it up and the entire middle of both mine and my wife meat were cold. Piss poor bbq place that goint to 1 microwave food, and 2 to serve it cold????? Played 18 holes of golf and stopped here for a late lunch. First I have to say that the beer was very cold and hit the spot My husband and I ordered the fried green tomatoes and shared a 2 meat entree with with 2 sides. The FGT were better than most. They were thick slices of tomatoes with a corn meal breading. There were hot and tasted good. We ordered brisket and pulled pork. Both were excellent. I usually find brisket to be dry and tough, this brisket was tender and flavorful. The pulled pork was melt in your mouth. The coleslaw was great and the baked bean were not overly sweet like many places make them - excellent. I wish I lived near here so I could make this a regular stop. read more

We wanted to give BubbaQue's one more chance. Our 2nd takeout order was thrown together. I ordered the Firebird sandwich. I should have read what the sandwich had inside it. I like onion rings but NOT the fat & greasy battered crap they served. The two battered rings were SOGGY and over-powered the chicken. It tasted like day-old grease in the mouth. The soggy batter took up 50% of the ingredients inside the sandwich. There wasn't much chopped chicken for what it cost. It was a heaping tablespoon of chicken between two cheap-ass buns. The inside of the sandwich lacked any care in preparing it. Whoever made the sandwich didn't give a crap how they made it. There's no pride in that kitchen. My wife didn't say too much about her meal except she's had a lot better, AND they didn't include the fried pickles she ordered. They did read off what the order included but the fried pickles never made it into the bag. She did say, Never Again. read more

The ribs were extremely tender - so if you like fall off the bone - these are it. The pull pork was decent. The cole slaw was ridiculously good. And the baked beans are just baked beans. Great last minute find! We were starving at it was almost 9pm. They were quick, super friendly and the food was wonderful. A definitely stop back in next time we are in the area. I have to admit we have been spoiled by Sonny's BBQ, and everything else is only "OK". We've had sandwiches there four different times, and the pork has always been a bit stringy and tough. The beans were OK, as was the garlic bread, but I can't wait to get back to Sonny's. BubbaQues Tuesday sandwich deal is unbeatable, even with all of the negative statements. The sauces leave you plenty of choices for how spicy you want your meal. Drinks are expensive, but they are everywhere. Well well well. I must say we were pleasantly surprised with BubbaQue's. It was our last night in the area and since we got back from the outlets late, we weren't driving to Tampa for a meal so we decided to stop in here. We arrived about an hour before they were closing.I'd give it 3.5 stars if I could but bumped them up to 4 stars instead of 3 for the attentive customer service. I ordered the sticky bones and they were very good! They had a good flavor and just about fell off the bones. The fried corn is on the cob and was VERY tasty. I wasn't a fan of the jalapeño poppers and wanted to be based on the other reviews. Mine was a bit overcookeed and not as good as I've had before. My brother in San Antonio makes these and they are delicious! This wasn't close. I didn't like the collard greens. They could've used some of the seasoning from the corn. My husband barely touched his or the macaroni & cheese. He ordered the St. Louis style ribs & the chicken combo. We both had to give our 14 y.o. a rib and some of the hubby's chicken as it was served much food! The Bubba bread is good Texas toast. My son ordered the pulled pork sandwich but they brought out the brisket sandwich. I should've gotten the manager's name but he was wearing a blue shirt last night. He allowed my son to keep the brisket sandwich and brought out the right one immediately and apologized for the mix-up! Who can complain about customer service like that?! We really enjoy coming here for the chicken wings! I hate your typical fried breaded wings and it's pretty hard to find any other kind. Bubbaque's wings are smoked and absolutely delicious!! My husband and I usually get the biggest order (I believe it's 18 wings) with 2 sides and have plenty leftovers for lunch the next day. For sides I really like their baked beans and hubby likes the coleslaw. When we visited a few days ago it was really nice out so we decided to seat on the patio. Service was good and fast, food tasted great and our experience was perfect up until a couple sat down at a table next to us and didn't stop smoking the whole time they were there, even when their food was brought out!!
