Breaded pork tenderloin with onion rings
    Steve V.

Had lunch at Bubbas 33 with some friends today. We sat in the bar area and enjoyed watching some tennis (Wimbledon) on plentiful large screen tvs. Our server Josh did a good job pacing the meal and keeping our beverages topped off. I got the breaded pork tenderloin and it came with a side - I chose the onion rings. The tenderloin was quite large, with a crispy breading but juicy interior. The onion rings were great - light flavorful breading. As soon as the plate was placed in front of me I ordered a to go box. - no way I could finish it. I took half home for tonight's dinner. I'd order it again.

We had a great time here for a family birthday get together. The food was great and I would definitely come again for dinner. The cocktails were just okay, typical cocktails. And the service was a little slow, but expected for a busy Saturday night.

My friend and I decided to stop in tonight for dinner. It's been a few years since I've gone. We were greeted as soon as we arrived, and taken to a booth. It was a bit loud in the restaurant but not super busy. Our waitress was wonderful. She was friendly and honest about wait times. The garlic knots we had were fabulous and clearly made fresh. My Philly cheesesteak wasn't great. The meat and veggies had good flavor, but the bread was dry. It needed some love. The seasoned fries that came with it were great. My friend also loved her burger. Would definitely return.

The food here was really fantastic! We had a sandwich and loaded fries. The chicken on the sandwich was so big that I ended up eating the whole sandwich and then still had leftover chicken that had fallen out! Definitely a huge portion for the price you pay! The service was great too. We sat in the bar and the waitress was friendly and really attentive to our needs. I love that their bar area has big windows so that they can open them on nice days. It makes you feel like you're outside, but still have some great shade.

Got carry out here and it was ready fast and the food was hot. They have ample carry out parking and great communication. We loved the shotgun shrimp and the boneless wings. Pro tip- get them with the sauce on the side.

We were greeted when we walked in. Our server was Claire and she was amazing. I was excited to eat here because of the black bean burger on the menu just to find out they recently took it off the menu. This left me to eat a salad and fries for my meal. Claire's exceptional service caused me to rate a little higher. The food was hot and seasoned. They also had mocktails..

Things didn't start off great. It took a while to be seated and even longer for a waitress to come to our table. But after that if got much better. My husband ordered the Bubba 33 bacon burger but they brought him the sunshine burger. I just removed the egg and it was the same thing. But we were charged for the egg even though I told our waitress about it. I ordered the smothered chicken dinner and really enjoyed it. It was served with white gravy and it was really well seasoned. It came with mashed potatoes with more of the same white gravy and one more side. I chose broccoli, it came with a butter garlic sauce on it. I added a little salt. I normally order the fish and chips so this was a great change up.

2nd time here and loving it. I've had the same bartender both times. Savanah is awesome. Great personality and takes good care of you. She even offered some suggestions on dinner. That's important to me since travel so much. I picked out chicken tenders, Stromboli or Patriot Burger. Per her advise it was a toss up between the burger or Stromboli. While I love some Stromboli I chose the Patriot Burger given its election season. I chose wisely . I'm not a normal burger guy, but DANG was this good. The grilled onions put it over the top. (Yes I'm a foodie). Loaded tator tots was a great side. This was washed down with an Elysian IPA. Was VERY GOOD! Not too hoppy. Just right. Bubba's is a nice place to end the day as I was traveling for work. Give this place a try.

Friday night so we know it's going to be busy; got a take for two inside the bar area. Ordered a dozen wings (BBQ chipotle and parmasean) and the burger with the bacon and guacamole on top, side of tots, loaded, with the intent to split both. The wings came first and we were well done before the burger came out. Everything was generally tasty, the parmasean wings were different, and I liked them. The burger seemed a little oddly too salty. Took half the burger and tots home and had them for lunch the next day and my opinion was the same. It was good, but I preferred the wings, for sure. #yum #ReviewsByRL

We had a lovely time at my father in law's spot, Bubba's, for his birthday. I am a generally healthy eater and was very pleased with the salmon salad. The wings and fries looked great too! Our server, Melyssa, was completely delightful, highly recommend her!

We ended up eating at Bubba's 3 times in 5 days. The first night, it was for the convenience. We were staying a hotel one door down the street. We had driven several hours to get there and didn't feel like getting back in the car to drive to a restaurant. We had seen Bubba's on the way and a quick peek at the menu said it had something we both would like. We were there for dinner and seated right away as we opted to sit in the bar. While it was technically outside, the A/C and breeze kept us comfortable. Also, we were into the Olympics and sports and really wanted to watch what was on. Our waitress quickly took our drink order and provided an overview of the restaurant. I think the hubby got the wings first night and I opted for the salmon salad. Both were really good and hit the spot. The food came out pretty quickly which was appreciated as we were HUNGRY! The second visit came because it was late and we were too tired to figure out where to eat. Again, we walked over and were seated right away - this time inside. The TVs were still visible so we were happy. Hubby got the garlic knots as people we were traveling with had been there and highly recommended them. I had a bite and totally agree - delicious. He also got a pizza and I got the chicken salad. I think the pizza was good as he ate half and took left overs and the extra knots back to our hotel. My salad was really good - probably better than the salmon salad. Which is why on our 3rd visit, I got the chicken salad again. Hubby got a burger and fries. This trip was again a default choice as we knew the food was good, there was a variety of options on the menu and service was relatively quick. It was another late night dinner so we walked over as soon as we got back to the hotel that day. One final note, hubby got the strawberry lemonade our 1st trip and LOVED it. So it was ordered the other 2 trips. I was impressed that it came with free refills just like a soda - and you never get that on non-soda or iced drinks. So I definitely recommend if you're in the area. Our three=peat visit should evidence that fact.

    Crispy Chicken Salad

Hadn't been to Bubba's for a while so went back for lunch. We couldn't remember what we got last time so we had to look up our own review on Yelp! . Our prior review said we liked both items so we re-ordered them again. A Bacon Guacamole Burger for me and a Crispy Chicken Salad for my wife. We stand by our previous review and applaud their consistency. The burger was cooked correctly and loaded with ingredients. The salad was fresh and well made. We will order them both a 3rd time if we return. One item on note, like everywhere, prices have increased. The burger was $12.49 and it's now $13.99. The salad was $11.99 and it's now $13.49. Service was great! Very friendly and helpful. We sat at a high top in the bar area. Monday is Monday Madness and you get any burger for $10.99. So while the menu says my burger is $13.99, I actually paid $10.99. A good deal and 50 cents cheaper than the prior price. So go on Monday for a burger!

Bubba's Signature Ribeye is OUTSTANDING! Absolutely, one of the best steaks I've eaten. It's so good that it's the only menu item I've ever ordered, since my first visit.

I come from a land where great breakfast burritos can be found everywhere (you know the place), so my standards are high. And then I tasted the breakfast burrito at Mornings Breakfast & Brunch in Fishers. And now ... well. If someone asked me, now, where my favorite breakfast burrito is located, Mornings might pop into my head. Because the breakfast burrito here is bangin'. It's appropriately mushy in all the right places. (If you know me, then you know that "mushy" is a big compliment when describing a burrito.) It has hash browns that aren't too crispy, diced bacon (or whatever other meat you choose), scrambled eggs, cheese, all wrapped in a thin flour tortilla. The breakfast burrito also comes with a side of sour cream and salsa verde, plus an additional side. I chose fried potatoes. I got my breakfast burrito to go, like you should. Do people eat burritos sitting down in a restaurant? Aren't they made to be eaten in a car, precariously gripped in one hand, with the other had on the steering wheel, maneuvering around roundabouts? Or in a car, dripping sweat into the to-go container as you hover over it to shove the last bits of burrito into your face after a vigorous yoga session? Burritos are meant to be eaten in cars, obviously, so I got my breakfast burrito to go. Burritos, like many things, taste better when they're eaten in a car. When I visited Mornings early in the morning, the music was blasting in the dining room. I don't know if they always have it this loud, or if maybe they were just trying to pump up the staff, or if maybe I'm just old and everything is loud now, but the music was very loud. Like, "raise your voice to talk to the person across the table" loud. I guess just keep that in mind. Or let that be yet another sign that you need to get your food to go and eat it in your car.

Everything came out quickly, thanks to Froy and Eduardo in the kitchen. I made sure to tell them how great the food was, and their big smiles said it all you can tell they genuinely care about both quality and service. There's plenty of parking, which is always a plus. If I were more hungry, I definitely would've ordered more food. However, the first six pages of the menu are all alcoholic drinks and beverages, which is quite interesting. This part of the menu outnumbers the rest of the food pages. I must confess, and this is a bit of a generalization, that my experience has mostly been that when visiting a brunch restaurant you mostly forget about the "unch." In other words, when breakfast is the emphasis one should focus on breakfast. Tony's is along the lines of places like Lincoln Square, etc. They serve breakfast all day (closing at 3pm) and also serve lunch. I arrived on a Sunday about 1pm. I was in the mood for lunch, however, I was also a bit hesitant. I'd hoped to go to CR Hero's (located in an adjacent strip center), however, they're closed Sundays. Thus, I ended up at Tony's. Tony's has a full breakfast menu with all the usuals along with a lunch menu of sandwiches, burgers, chicken options, etc. I'm always on the lookout for a decent breaded tenderloin for my good buddy and fellow Yelper Rick G., so I opted for a breaded tenderloin with fries. This building has a handful of accessible parking spots along with curb cuts at both ends of the building. Tony's Cafe is toward the west end of the building. However, those spots were taken and I parked at the other end. There's a double-glass door entryway and then you're in the dining room. There's a small hosting area to the left - this is also where you pay. Service was friendly in a quiet way. I have to admit that the tenderloin was a bit of a disappointment. It was very mid-range. It came on a toasted bun with the usual tomato/lettuce toppings. It wasn't bad. It wasn't good. It was just sort of "meh." The fries, which are not crinkle-cut as pictured on their website, were also definitely mid-range. I was for sure wishing I'd opted for a breakfast selection. The iced tea was fine and in a decent-sized glass, though I was never offered a refill (a major faux pas for this iced tea lover). The bill came in at just over $15 without tip. I would not even think about ordering this meal again, though I likely would return and try breakfast since the atmosphere was fine and the service was friendly if unremarkable. The atmosphere? It's an opening dining room with booths on the side and tables in the middle. It's fairly nondescript, however, it's also definitely clean. I did not check out the restrooms on this visit. I was easily able to find a wheelchair friendly table and there was decent space between tables. Overall, this was a full-on mid-range experience. It definitely wasn't as solid as I'd been hoping going into it, however, it was a decent meal. Again, my gut told me to go for breakfast options and I likely should have listened to that. Business was modest, though it was getting near the end of the day when I finally left right around 2pm.

There are a variety of tables, also some comfy corner chairs. You order at the counter then they'll bring food to you. We all got (plain) coffee. There's a small sugar station on the end of the counter, but you have to ask for cream. I also told a staff member none of us had been there before, and asked were there coffee refills (since the rest was specialty coffee drinks) or do we pay? She said we can have one refill if we come up. My friends got gluten free egg/biscuit sandwiches. The hubs got a crepe with strawberries, bananas and more in it. I ordered the Galette Bretonne - which is described as "a savory light Buckwheat crepe with City ham, Gruyere cheese, with sunny side up egg" and also comes with a side salad. Our food came fairly quickly. The crepe was visually pretty. The biscuit sandwiches looked like they had nice fluffy biscuits (and, gluten free!) - but they were on the small side (smaller than an egg mcmuffin). My galette looked nice but not like the photo (see pics of mine & one from their web) - and the egg inside was well done, definitely not sunny side up or even medium. I don't mind harder cooked eggs, but the whole effect was very dry, so I went to the counter to ask for some syrup. The server told me that he would have to charge me for it. I said fine, yes please, because my dish is so dry it's unedible without it. So he went back in the kitchen and did bring me out a small side dish of syrup (see also pic of that, for size). I had my credit card ready, but he said "this one's on me." I thanked him and sat down to eat. ... and yes, that syrup was just the trick to make the dish delicious! So this is the thing that makes a whole experience "meh" as opposed to "really nice": Between me & my hubs, our food and plain coffees were $42. (My friends paid separately for theirs.) For that price and just counter service, if a guest asks for a small side of syrup for the food, there should not be a side charge. I think the server who gave it to me realized that (but I would have paid it anyway because the meal was just too dry without it) ... But here's the thing - there was another staff member at the counter when my server gave me that little side of syrup. She heard him say "no charge this time," and her expression absolutely changed, and she looked mad that he did not charge me, and like she was about to say something (but didn't). Guess what? I absolutely saw that. And I totally feel like she was not only mad, but also that he might get reprimanded for it. (Might I add, we were also there when it was NOT busy at all, so there was nothing about the atmosphere that was rushed or hectic - although that souldn't matter, either.) And yes, of course when I went back to the table, I relayed that story to my other 3 companions. A little (little!) customer service goes a long way. And also is easily a deciding factor of whether or not a place gets a revisit. There are so many other places to try. #ReviewsByRL
