This is to WARN others this place is charging 9.75% tax when Jefferson parish tax rate is 9.2%. So far since the tax rate changed from 9.75% last year to 9.2% I have corrected 2 businesses( Atomic Burger and The Fiery Crab). This is getting RIDICULOUS I have more knowledge than you all about the tax rate in Jefferson Parish. Anybody can easily check this by a simple math problem. Take your subtotal amount before taxes and multiply it times 1.092. $3.87 x 1.092 = $4.226, rounds to $4.23. $3.87 x 1.0975 = $4.247, rounds to $4.25. As you can see the owner is charging $4.25 total with tax on chalk board menu and PURPOSELY not returning your itemized receipt unless you ask for it which you should AUTOMATICALLY get your itemized receipt whether you pay with cash or credit. Tax is 36 cents NOT 38 cents. All I can figure is: 1. Lazy owners don't want to fix it 2. Want to steal on purpose so the parish can get more 3. Dumb ditzy idiots I figure all 3 are correct. I am only an office clerk have a vo-tech school degree and I have more knowledge of a SIMPLE MATH PROBLEM AND TO LEARN the correct sales tax rates. The Fiery Crab was charging Orleans parish tax rate. I reported it to them in a letter and over the phone as they assured me they'd fix it. This place is a-ok. When I went there was a lady there who was SUPER nice and helpful. They have soft serve yogurt, bubble teas, and sno-balls. We got sno-balls and some soft serve yogurt. She put sprinkles on the ice cream for the little ones and even let us sample a sno-ball flavor. I couldn't believe a sno-ball place let you sample a flavor! It was nice. The sno-ball ice was less crunchy than nearby Sunny's but not as "snowy" as a Pandora's (to give you an example). They have a good flavor selection also. The only complaint I would say is that they have inside seating, however it is all high tables and stools. While super nice and trendy, the decor is more fitting for adults. I would think most people come in with children and it just didn't make sense. You can't possibly feel safe letting a small child sit on those high seats. They don't allow you to patron their establishment if you wear a hoodie. The guy told my sister to take her hoodie off. We asked politely why this was the case and he shrugged with his hands up and said "it just is". I'm not for anyone especially men telling women what to do with the clothing on their bodies. In addition I can't help but wonder if this is an anti-black sentiment by the two white people behind the counter. I know a lot of people are ok frequenting establishments owned and operated by racists but I'm from California where that ish don't fly. I was really looking forward to trying them out but frankly there are other establishments with better reviews and ratings so we gladly left. The selection of snoball flavors at Bubbies is insane. Just look at the photos that others have posted on Yelp. We've visited Bubbies a few times since moving to Kenner and have not been disappointed yet. The toasted marshmallow snoball is my favorite so far. I keep wanting to try the special bananas foster snoball, but I don't really want 16oz of snoball... small is good! Pricing is about on par with other snoball stands. $1 and some change for a kids size or small. The specialty items are a bit more. For example, the huge bananas foster one for $4. It's walking distance from my house, and air conditioned, so this makes me happy! 4 stars instead of 5 because the ice isn't *quite* as fine as some of the NOLA stands, but it's still good. read more

This place is not like a regular normal snoball stand that I am used to. This place is amazing. How can you not have a seat and enjoy the view and tv in an enclosed space? Very affordable! !!!!!!! Kenner sno balls are a bit different than some new orleans stands in comparison with the texture of the ice. But the price swap is so awesome that I am cool to try the alternative. The hot dogs were pretty regular and went well just sitting around eating a sno ball and eating a some hot dogs!!!!! They have plenty of flavors and they allow you to sample as many as you'd like before you make your decision.
