Best bubble tea in the area! Their one size cups are large but they don't go overboard with the ice. My favorite flavors are thai milk tea, earl grey, and matcha, all iced. The decoration is cute, always clean, and cozy. Wait time is minimal even when they're super busy. The only thing is that parking can be hard to find on weekends in the evening and it's a bit difficult to spot if you've never been here before. I still would highly recommend! read more

I think the Portland-metro area is a bit slow on the uptake when it comes to some food fads/styles. Bubble tea is popular in every major city I've been to, with many locations throughout the city. Here, there's only a few worthwhile dedicated bubble tea places and some trucks/carts, but nothing with the standard and consistency (and price!) of other cities. Consistency is key. When I heard about BNT I was very excited to try. A place with boba AND grass jelly! I absolutely love grass jelly and will order it when I see it. I love the fact that they use loose leaf tea and no flavored powders. I don't love the fact that it took 10min for someone to take my order without even a glance or "be right there" and that it was another 25-30min wait for drinks. The drinks themselves were decent. I sampled the classic, Thai tea, and matcha all with 50% sweetness. I really like the trend of customizing sweetness. Here the amount they put in for 50% was just about right for me. I can't imagine what 100% would have been. The bubbles are on the small size and they chop up the grass jelly so it somewhat fits the straw. I also felt like, for the matcha at least, it was too milky. The earthiness of matcha did not really come through. The Thai tea was great though. Seating wise, there's just a few two-tops and a four-top along the edge and bar seating by the window. The small space has a modern minimal feel to it, almost to the point of it being sparse. It could use more decorations or better seating to make it more welcoming. Ventilation is pretty bad. The door had to be propped open because of weird fumes and stuffiness due to everyone waiting for drinks inside. For now, this is a get-tea-to-go than a sit-and-relax place. Hopefully they fix the service issues after settling in a bit longer. read more

The last time I went, there was a line that went all the way outside. I decided to try the Cloud Mango and it was was too sweet. I would not get that drink again. I wish you could alter the sweetness level here. I had a sip of the strawberry matcha and it was delicious! I also had a sip of the Thai Tea and it was decent. It wasn't the best or the worst. It just tasted like regular Thai Tea. I remember drinking the Lavender Honey milk tea and it had a strong flavor of lavender. I don't think I enjoyed the flavor of lavender at the time but if I can back I think I would like lavender because I enjoy the taste of lavender again. My only complaint is that I wish there was a location here in Washington. read more

I'm a believer that loose leaf teas are the only way to go for bubble tea. Flavor of the ones I've tried is unmatched. So far I've had the Classic Black Milk, Thai, Earl Grey, and Matcha. Matcha has the characteristic flavor that's a bit bitter, earthy, and nutty. The boba was smooth on the outside and chewy on the inside. Employees are always friendly and welcoming, and answer any questions I have about the more "adventurous" flavors (only became I stick to the same ones ) like Jasmine and Pear or Strawberry Rose Milk. I love when a new boba place pops up in town because it gives me a great excuse to consume even more boba than I usually do. The fat cups are a fun novelty, and the place itself is very industrial and cute. They offer various non-dairy options for their milk teas for the lactose-intolerant at no extra charge. The staff even offered advice on which non-dairy option would work best with different teas based on how the liquid suspends in the tea. I've had the matcha and jasmine milk teas and both were delicious and delicate, you can tell that they don't use any powders in their drinks. The boba itself is a good consistency, the right amount of chewy without being too soft. Dare I say that they are currently the best place to get boba in town? (Little Boba Truck also holds such a ranking, but they are seasonal and thus can't fulfill my boba cravings in the winter.) One downside though, they are S-L-O-O-O-O-O-W-W-W. There is often a line queued up at the register, but that doesn't change any of the staff's pace. Bubble N Tea have always been one of my favorite bubble tea places but my most recent visit left me a bit confused. I ordered 4 milk teas to go, 50% sweet, all requesting no ice (with the weather getting colder, I didn't really see the point and also since the extra ice would just dilute the bubble tea even more). But to my surprise, the employee asserted that she couldn't do that, with no other specific reason than just that. Even while writing this review, I'm still confused... Is it really against their policy to opt out of adding ice to a customer's order? Of the 4, I personally had the honey lavender and the lavender flavor was overwhelming! It completely overpowered the entire drink and I couldn't help but feel like I was drinking a soap bar instead... Considering this was a specialty flavor and costed a dollar more, it was a complete miss for me. Do not recommend, unless you're a lavender fanatic. Think I'll be sticking with the classic milk tea. read more

I really enjoy Bubble n Tea. Their drinks are made with premium tea and you can definitely taste that. My favorite here is the Matcha strawberry, which is so amazing with the Matcha flavor and has strawberry chunks throughout the drink. The taro mango one is another favorite of mine that's so delicious too (also has mango pieces throughout). I also enjoy the design on the drink containers (though they aren't the best for fitting in your car cup containers). I think the price of this place is fantastic for the quality of the drinks you're getting, so highly recommend this place. It's one of my go to spot in the area for milk tea drinks. read more

This is my FAV, FAV, FAVORITE boba tea shop of all time!!! We literally make a drive over to Beaverton just to get boba from here, its like a boba date at least once a week. My usual order is the Jasmine Milk Tea w/ Boba & Grass Jelly His usual order is the Strawberry Matcha Latte w/ Boba Our summer favorite is the Coconut Smoothie w/ Boba Their teas are super duper good and the bubbles are like sweet little chewy pearls of perfection. Of all the bubbles I've had, the ones here win every time. I also really love that they use only real tea leaves and not powder. You can also adjust the sweetness to your liking and be prepared to buy a new car with larger cup holders. I was a bit hesitant to recommend Bubble N Tea in the beginning because that will mean more and more people will be coming to this treasure of a place. I honestly do not get the hype over this place. I love the aesthetics. They have unique flavors. I like how they have special flavors that rotate. But I'm not a fan of their cups. Not cup holder friendly. The straw is so tall and fits awkwardly into the cup. And they put in WAY TOO much ice! I've given them multiple tries. Some drinks you can modify ice and sugar levels, but not all of them. I just feel like my drink is 50% ice. I went back because I heard they have Ube. And the only other place I know that makes ube boba is Happy Lemon. I was a little disappointed in Bubble n Tea's ube drink as the flavor was not strong enough. The ube was weak. The purple color is absolutely gorgeous. The drink also comes with mango but the chunks were HUGE. I think it would have been better with smaller chunks or puree. The mango also did not taste ripe to me. I will probably come back occasionally to try their unique seasonal flavors, but otherwise, there are better boba places out there! read more
