I want to make it clear that I'm good with anyone else too as long as they are good with dogs since this is their job at the end of the day. I don't want to feel like they mistreat my dog because he's "not behaving well".... I've worked with Ruth for years and I trust her work and professionalism. I don't feel I should drug my dog just to get a wash and cut. PETCO isn't asking me to drug my dog in order to work with them. Thank you!! Review on 9/4/26: The lady is really rude to me. She schooled me about my small dog not behaving well during his grooming session. She even told me "I've told you already to take him to the vet"! I didn't understand why she's asking me to take him to the vet.... She explain that I need to ask them for relaxation pills so that he behaves better when getting his hair cut. I have never got my dog relaxation pills so this was new to me. My dog is only 1 year old. But I just didn't like how she spoke to me. As if though I'm her child and she's telling how I'm messing up. Rude rude rude. The cost is $100 for a haircut, wash and my dog is 13lbs small dog. I'm going to not call them again! It's unfortunate because I like them before but the lady is so nasty rude!! Get better costumer service or get a new job since she's not willing to be patient with pups. (disclaimer: not Ruth. She is sweet. This is some other lady).

Multiple groomers have commented on how difficult she is, so I tempered my expectations and made sure to caution the owner, Lea, beforehand to prevent any unforeseen accidents. Imagine my surprise 2 hours later, when I came to pick up Panda! She was gorgeous and looked like she was a puppy again ... I hadn't seen her so well groomed in years In just a matter of hours, Lea somehow managed to understand Panda so well that she was able to even style and trim around her face, which is unheard of. She even mentioned how well behaved Panda was! Lea really took the time to make sure Panda was comfortable in the beginning before starting the grooming process, which just goes to show how much she cares for the well being of these babies. I was never asked to post a review, but I'm doing this because I believe every dog deserves a groomer as loving as Lea and her sister. Please give Bark & Sparkle a try, you won't be disappointed!

I swear these people are Dog Whisperers or something because I've NEVER seen my anxious 13-year-old dog act so calm in a stranger's presence. I gave Autumn (the owner) a warning about my dog's anxious behavior over the phone before our first appointment. Note: My dog is not friendly with strangers. We walked in and my dog Coco was calm, didn't even bark, and Autumn took the time to make sure Coco was ready before taking her to the back and get groomed. To my surprise, Coco was acting calm and even sat and wagged her tail as if Autumn and her were old friends. Coco even willingly walked with Autumn to the back. Again, I've NEVER seen my dog act like this with a stranger. I felt comfortable leaving Coco with Pretty Pups and was so happy when I picked her up and saw that she was happy and wagging her tail. I asked them to cut her hair short for the summer. In the colder months, I'll keep her hair longer but for now she really needed this to help her stay cool in the summertime heat. She is so good with Priscilla. Bella used to get so scared at our previous groomer that before the previous groomer could finish with her they asked us to pick you up. We do NOT have that problem with Autumn. Let's talk about Zoe, my special needs pup. Autumn needs an assistant to help with Zoe. Cody has been assisting Autumn the last few visits and Zoe is in love with Autumn but mostly Cody. The place is clean, no kennels, treated with care. Asha can be a little difficult at times, but Annette is always so patient, gentle, and loving with her . She treats Asha like her own and always keeps me updated throughout the entire grooming process, which gives me so much peace of mind. They have always been honest about anything Asha may need, never pushes add-ons, and is always upfront about costs. It's all about the tone of voice & you can just tell it's genuine when they suggest something. Asha is now consistently on a 4-week grooming routine because of her doodle hair, and I'm so grateful that Annette helped me figure out the perfect schedule for her.
