When it comes to food halls, they're usually a fun place with a lot of options and maybe some entertainment. This one seemed lack luster compared to the others in town. There were a couple food stalls, but a lot of outdated signage and a massive amount of tables for the people and food options available. They did have some games, but one ski ball machine and one claw machine and one basketball machine. I liked the options but I wish there were at least two ski ball machines so you can play with the person you're with. I got tacos, they were alright. The best thing I've had here was the Korean fried chicken. I think once they add more options, and maybe better seating/ atmosphere it could be improved a lot. I'm updating my review after the new management took over because I can really see that. They're trying to create a positive spin on this really neat venue after the old management had really tanked its quality. I'm happy to see new vendors really embracing the space. One of the biggest draws is the outdoor seating. It's really good to see a variety of options as well as ample seating and space to hang out while you eat. I've also noticed some events that they've been putting on and it's exciting. If I didn't have two young kids, I would be definitely attending since I live right down the road! This is a nice food hall option. The space is open and airy, with a variety of seating available. There are some nice touches, like featured art, a piano, board games and activities, and signage featured upcoming events. Of course, a major draw is the food, and they have a good selection: hibachi, Korean fried chicken, pizza, Indian food, Mexican food, burgers, sushi, boba tea, and cheesecake. A nice sized parking lot is available. Unfortunately, it didn't seem as busy as it should be at peak lunch hour, when we visited. Updating my previous review. What has happened to Bubbly Hall? We came here on a whim and thought we might get sushi. The sushi place is still there and it looks fine but holy guacamole.... The vibe of the place was not working for me. We ended up leaving. Half the original vendors are gone! A hibachi vendor took the BBQ, so that was good as the bbq wasnt good. just Chicken is gone. Sad about that. Replaced by another fried chicken place but the new chicken spot lacks something visually. Mr Hummus is gone.. now replaced by an Indian stand that weirdly serves, wait for it... Lo Mien. I found that really weird. A couple places dont have vendors. It just seemed really struggling. We left and drove to Mr Sushi. I think we did the same thing last time we stopped in. I want to support it but it just doesnt have the same draw or vibe as the North Markets, Budd Dairy or East market. Sad. read more

That's what Bubbly Hall is, a grab bag of various food establishments. Walk in, make a choice, hope for the best. I did a Yelp search for ramen, this place came up as the closest option, so off I go. Wonky entrance, but that's ok. I don't mind a little wonky if there's good food on the other side. I was let down by the interior. No warmth, no vibe. I'm spoiled, see my Optimus Hall review. Honestly, it felt like a mall food court. The only thing missing was a Pretzel Palace and Dip and Dots. Some of the vendors (according to their website) are Crunchick, Dhaba Kitchen, Rhino Smashburger, El Burrito Bowl, Boba Paradise and a few others. There's also an open bar in the middle of it all. Kiku Sishi was my destination. I ordered the Bkack Garlic Shio Ramen. Hmmmm. The broth lacked depth. I mean come on, we all know that the broth is the foundation of any ramen or pho. The pork was firm and flavorless. The black garlic aroma oil flowed over the surface of the broth but did not bring the flavor. The marinated soft boiled egg was good but there was only one half. Where'd the other half go? Please give me both of my halves. How do you store half of a soft boiled egg? Whose half was I eating? Bottom line, I wouldn't eat at Kiku again. Maybe there are other vendors there that are amazing, but I won't be back to find out. There was nothing at Bubbly that makes me excited to return. Hibachi Run My friend and I were since we both work in the area. We have never been to Bubbly Hall before so we were looking forward to it. We went on a Wednesday and it was pretty quiet in there. I went to Hibachi Run, it sounded the best in the hall. I ordered the chicken and steak option, it was ok. It lacked flavor and portion size for the price, the rice was also overcooked. I also wish they had more sauce choices - I know yum yum sauce is the base level for hibachi but having more options would have been nice. Such a great spot - excited to see how it continued to grow with fun events for the community too! Parking: a little confusing to get into the lot from Central College but follow the street direction/sign and you'll end up in a large lot with plenty of parking! Hopeful the city expands the side walk too for walking options! Food: so many cute options for places to eat and something for everyone! I got a sushi roll and split an order of hummus from different stands. The sushi was delicious and reasonably priced for nice sushi around Columbus! The hummus was huge and delicious - you can buy pita on the side but it doesn't come with it (2 pita for $0.99 isn't bad though). They had several other options like BBQ, Cheescake and a new milkshake spot that look amazing (they all do really) and I'm excited to go back and try! They also have a full bar with local breweries and a wine bar! Ambiance: casual but fun and upbeat. I think as their special nights grow and they have more live music, it's popularity will continue to grow! Ample seating inside and outside with tables for big and small groups is a huge plus. I wasn't sure what to expect from this. I used to live up this way, and things have changed a lot. Tons of apartments, a good number of restaurants, and even a hardware store to kind of replace The Mill. And now this. Handy off New Albany Road, it's got a weird parking lot and several entrances. I guess that's efficient, but it's hard to know where to go in. Once inside, there are 8 or 10 small food stands (and a bar and a couple of shops.) There are several I like- Hoyo's is great at its other location- but I love Korean so I went to Seoul to Go. Each place has interesting stuff, and it's great to have something like this in the area, really in any area- not full restaurants, but many diverse cuisines, handy for a lot of people. Industrial but light and airy inside. Lots of tables and varied seating options. Everyone can get their own thing; you could even get food at one and drinks at another. (I almost did, since there was no pop at the Korean place.) Some odd negatives. I saw no communal places for napkins, straws, plasticware. Got some with my meal, but extra napkins someplace handy would be nice. Restrooms are tucked away and not very visible. If you come in the- front I guess?- there are some around a corner, and there is a sign. But if you come in the from the larger back lot, no signs, no clues. There did turn out to be two small ones up a middle, office-looking aisle. And several doors were broken. One long enough that they have semi-permanent signs. Others stick or squeak. Bad look when you're entering a "stylish" place. Still, I'd come back, for the convenience and variety. I know at least two of the food joints are great, and bet the others are too. I'd like to have something like this closer to me. read more

There are 9 different places to eat from so dinner lunch dessert it's all here. They had some arcade type games and a lot of board games and cards that you can play. Lots of families here for dinner just hanging out. When we were here there was karaoke going on and anyone can join in. Everyone we interacted with at the different vendors were really nice and helpful. read more

I've been to Bubbly Hall maybe four or five times now as I live so close by. When you walk into the hall, you can tell it is well liked by the people of New Albany. There is always a lot of people there regardless of time. I've been on different days of the week and different times each time I've been. My first visit was during the first few days they were open and it was a little rocky. The sushi place was not open yet and the chicken place ran out of chicken. I did however get the opportunity to try the crepes and the Philly cheesesteak was AMAZING! The sushi however is my favorite. You must try the tuna lover roll. It is spicy tuna, jalapeños, avocado, tuna, green sprouts, and ponzu sauce. It is my favorite so far and I've had their sushi three times. I was at Bubbly Hall yesterday with my friend and she mentioned how much fun it would be to do board games or if they hosted trivia. I really hope more entertainment opportunities come to this hall as it has great potential. You should definitely check out this food hall as it is very nicely decorated, great options of food, the cutest small business area. They have cookies in there that are really good. Finally stopped in for some bubble tea at the request of my kids and they give it a big thumbs up! Food options include Indian, Sushi, Ramen, 2 Korean restaurants (the Korean fried chicken is amazing, we were given some delicious samples, yea us) as well as a full bar, burgers and even a little live music on Halloween. I love eateries especially close to home. This food hall is fairly new in New Albany and honestly it's great! Just had lunch we tried the ramen, sushi, bibimpap and crêpe. Everything was decent really made fresh, fast and I would love to come back and try the rest. There's also a wine bar, flower shop, cheesecake stand, hummus and salads, chicken place, What is not to like? I had been wanting to check this place out since it opened as I am a pretty big fan of the other food halls/markets across the city. Unfortunately this one was a bit of a disappointment. We went in on a Saturday afternoon and it was extremely dead and maybe 3 food stalls were open. I went with hoyo's which was good but I can get at multiple locations across the city. Was hoping to get food from somewhere exclusive to this location. Overall I definitely probably wouldn't come back. We came at what should be the busiest time and nothing was open so just don't see the appeal. read more

Has potential but needs work. In order to improve the experience at Bubbly Hall, the owner needs to make some immediate changes and improvements: 1) my main complaint is if you come with a group, you all have to split up and go stand in different lines to order your food then stay to wait for your food. You end up spending barely any time together. This would be fixed by adding a QR code to each table so people can order food from all restaurants from any table and have the food delivered to the table. This would allow people variety for food options while still getting quality time in the food hall. It would also create more walking room in the main area which can get quite crowded on busy days and be difficult to navigate. If you can't do this, every restaurant should at least have a QR code and menu that is unique to their restaurant and have the option to place a mobile order instead of waiting in line away by yourself from your party. 2) for some restaurants it's not clear where lines should form and where people should stand to wait for their food. This leads to a lot of people blocking the walking paths and creating bottle necks and traffic jams. At every restaurant there should be lines on the ground with clear signage, or ideally stanchions to create barriers with rope. 3) fix the broken door that has been broken since opening 4) in a central location or website, post restaurant hours and require the restaurants to update those hours to accurately reflect when they are and are not open. Around the holidays we never know if something will be open or not and you can't call any of the restaurants so you have to take a gamble by showing up and possibly wasting your time if the restaurant is closed. If these issues are addressed I think the hall would see more success and guests would find it easier to come back and order their food quickly. read more

First, don't let the one star reviews here lead you away. The hall has only been open for two weeks and it's a little rocky here at the beginning. I'm having lunch on a Tuesday noon and just had one of the best chicken sandwiches I've ever eaten. Delicious french fries and sweet pickles on the sandwich which was a surprise. Full bar (one of the best advantages of getting off work at 11 AM is drinking at lunch) with local beers on tap. A full wonderful bar within walking distance of my house is kind of a good news bad news story. Anyway worth the trip. Will be back and try every single restaurant here. read more

We came here hopeful to try different establishments at bubbly hall. The hours posted were until 11:00pm and we arrived at 8:45pm. Half the restaurants were already closed. One of the options available was Seoul Food On the Go. They were sold out of half of their food, leaving us only ordering their tteokbokki. Another restaurant we tried was the sushi place. Kiku Sushi Bar. Both places had pretty good food despite the limited options at Seoul Food. A special shout out to Kiku Sushi - giving us a complimentary order of edamame. Giving this place an overall three star until all the establishments stay open until their posted hours of 11:00pm. Either that or update the hours so others are not disappointed when they come here starving after 8:00pm read more

Last Friday night, we hosted a large family dinner at Bubbly Hall for our out of town family, with around 50 guests. The planning, food, and evening were all seamless. The private room there is perfect, and the staff so helpful. I would not hesitate to book this space again for any larger event, and definitely recommend making use of the space for locals. They allow space rental but also offer catering. It is so easy and we could not have been happier with how smoothly the evening went. 10/10 recommend. read more

Moved to New Albany 2 years ago. Since moving here, my partner and I have been having a difficult time finding good BBQ. We thought we'd give The Pit at Bubbly Hall a try and was quickly disappointed. My partner and I took maybe 2 or 3 bites into our pulled pork and pulled chicken sandwiches and spit them out. Unfortunately it seemed like the food was low effort/low quality considering the amount of fat found on both sandwiches. The only positive portion of our experience was the staff. We don't mind spending a good amount on a good meal, but the quality was no where near worth the ~ $40 we spent for both meals. We've had better BBQ for a fraction of the price back in Cleveland. Unfortunately, New Albany is still waiting for a good BBQ joint. read more

Food : Tried a few different things with the fam 1) ramen at the sushi place : horrible. Noodles weren't good and the broth didn't taste good either. Big fail. 2) Mediterranean place: tried the rice bowl with chicken and wife had the Greek salad with chicken. Chicken didn't taste good or Greek. Bowl comes with a choice of sauce .. green fluorescent sauce (not sure what gives it the coloring) it was ok. Garlic sauce was better. Whole dish lacked authenticity .. e.g. they use black olives instead of Kalamata olives (not good). 3) Seoul Food : tried the Korean meatballs with rice. Basically dried up meatballs with sushi rice sprinkled with plain chopped lettuce, for $15 btw.. feel bad for these guys. Pricing is off and the food is not very good. 4) finally, wife grabbed a "pineapple" cheesecake from the cheesecake place. Almost barfed.. 5) the wine station didn't even have anyone attending it.
