Stopped in for a brisket sandwich and was pleasantly surprised I could just get brisket alone. I also got beaver tots. Everything was hot and fresh. Gotta love a Buc-ee's stop. We got the cookies, cashews, and cotton candy for road snacks. The cookies were a little dry but still okay. The cashews were amazing, you could really taste the vanilla. The sweet and spicy bbq and chicken sauce were both pretty tasty. The bathrooms were clean and well stocked. I liked the red and green lights to see if they were occupied or vacant. They were very busy but still efficient.
Buc-ee's was a pretty crazy place! With over 100 gas pumps, a huge store which seems like they have everything. I had a barbecue beef sandwich. That was delicious and fresh. Huge coffee station. I walked in and out with a huge smile on my face because of the fun atmosphere and the friendly staff. Definitely recommend stopping in and check out this place.
This was definitely a fun place to stop. Tons of people coming in and out, but no issues getting a gas pump or a parking spot. The bathroom line was also really long, but might have moved faster than any bathroom line I've ever been in. They had someone in there, basically directing traffic, which made everything run really smoothly. The bathrooms were also really clean, which I really appreciate. The store itself is very cute with tons of food and snack options for everybody as well as lots of cute souvenir, clothing, toy, household, etc. options for everyone. The checkout lines initially looked long, but they moved so efficiently that it really wasn't an issue. Overall, I was definitely coming through as a tourist, but I enjoyed the recommendation.
I definitely had my doubts about getting off the highway to drive into this chaos but honestly........it's now my go to for stopping when traveling on the road. There's nothing better than being able to go to a gas station where you feel safe AND the bathrooms are actually clean. We usually tend to stop at truck stop gas stations while traveling the highways but now it's nice to have a more friendly family version to stop. This gas station truly has any and everything you can think of to have and you truly need to calm yourself down to not blow your travel money while stopping. It also makes very easy to stop with families and get food. There is something for everyone!!! My family can get picky on the road with figuring out what to eat but with Buc-ee's everyone is able to find something the want to eat. I personally enjoy the chopped brisket sandwich. I get the smaller one as I don't like a lot of meat and honestly the only thing that would make it better would be if I could put a sweet spicy BBQ sauce on the sandwich. The meat is soooooo tender which to me is hard to do. I even enjoyed the Buc-ee chips or something like that. They're neat the sandwiches and reminded me of potato chips but they're cut thicker. The access in and out of buc-ee's also set up beautifully so you're not just waiting around trying to get in and find a pump. I truly recommend getting off the highway and checking it out. Do not get overwhelmed with the amount of people that will be there or the amount of traffic. Just know it does flow smoothly and you will get in and out. Now you might spend some time inside of the store but it will be because you decided to shop.......not because of anything else.
Good variety of items, bathroom and store in general was very clean. Lots of gas pumps (as alway). This store was exceptionally busy when we went (around spring break time) so the fact everything was still clean and staff were friendly was more surprising. Store is clearly marked. We love their jerky and candy, but also left with a camping chair because it was such a good deal haha. Definitely worthwhile to check out but know it may be very very busy
My first Buc-ee's experience. We needed gas & something to eat as we started our travel very early in the morning. It's a gas station/truck stop/ food court on Hyper-drive! I mean enormous! The number of gas pumps is impressive! And gas was cheaper for premium than area stations were selling regular! My SO bought us breakfast: Bacon, egg, cheese biscuits The biscuit was dry and yet oily. Not great flavor. She also got us an orange cranberry walnut muffin and a blueberry muffin. Both were more like cake than a muffin. Again, not a fan. The gas price was great and no waiting. Food prices were ok but we were not impressed with the quality. For a quick stop, it works! We were in and out in about 10 minutes. So I'll likely do that again!
I've heard the lore and the myth that is Buc-ee's. While I was visiting family we decided to go to the nearest one which is in Smiths Grove. Here is what I got. Candied Pecans and Cashews - Amazing. If they're warm it's pretty much addicting. This might be the best items at Buc-ee's. $5 each I believe. Cheesesteak Burrito - Phenomenal. Keep in mind this is still a gas station... they make their own tortillas on site. The tortillas are great. I wouldn't say true authentic Mexican but for being made fresh they are great and pari well with the peppers and brisket inside. This was my favorite thing by far. This was $8 or 9. But it's a steal. The fudge - Lots of different options. They have a box where it has all of their flavors. I was not a fan. It was more sugary than any other flavor and the consistency was meh. Brisket Sandwich - I got two of em and I got the XXL. These are good. Very good. Not my favorite as the burrito was just a amazing. I think the bbq sauce is pretty plain and kind of becomes gelatinous with the brisket after while. When I go back ill ask for the bbq sauce on the side if thats possible cause I think that would make it better. The brisket alone is great. $13 or 14 for the XXL Fresh Beef Jerky - I tried a few at the fresh counter. They aren heavily flavored. Which depending on your preferance could be good or bad. The best one was the bohemia garlic. It's not too haevy on the garlic and it's dry but not overly dry while the beef is manageable. Pricey coming in at $30/lb that goes for the pre-packed and fresh. Soda Wall - A lot of flavors. I'm a cream soda fan so this stood out and I was excited. They have a blue cream soda that was amazing. Beaver Chips - Ehh okay good. Fresh yes. Nothing amazing. Jalapeno and cream cheese dip - Pass. Its not spicy. Cream cheese is iunno not cream cheese? Tastes more like cream cheese with a jalapeno pepper jelly. Wasn't a fan. Fresh Fruit - Good and definitely get this if you feel like something natural. Buc-ees merch - Lots and lots of different swag from Buc-ee's. I got a lot of t-shirts which are good quality and only $13 each. Buc-ee's is great and a force to be reckoned with when it comes to gas stations. I couldn't keep count of all the gas pumps. It was packed inside but if you know what you want it'll be quick. Must gets is definitely the cheesesteak burrito, a soda from the plethora of flavors and the candied nuts. I didn't get candied almonds but if you like almonds im sure they will be good.
This Buc-ee's location is massive. We stopped for gas and grub on our way back from Nashville on Friday, 14 November 2025. There has to be over a 100 gas pumps! The gas pumps seems to stretch an entire block. It was very convenient and there was no waiting for a pump although it was seemingly full!! There was also ample parking near the entrance and behind the gas pumps. There was an employee working on a golf cart, driving around checking for cleanliness and I even noticed that she checked that a wet spot om the ground was not fuel. We walked inside and saw an expansive interior. It was crowded but because it was so big and the registers fully manned, there was hardly a wait for anything. The bathroom was also massive. Obviously, I went into the womens bathroom. There were a ton of stalls equipped with hand sanitizer and toilet seat cleaners. The soap and paper towels were also fully stocked. And it was clean. It's helpful that there was an employee tidying up after the guests. We got coffee and even at 130pm-ish it was still hot!! We got brisket, brisket burger, and chicken stripe with fries. It was a bit pricey but everything was delicious. For "gas station food" I would go as far as saying that it was ahhhhmazing. Check it out if you have not.
Our first ever Buc-ee's experience, and it did NOT disappoint! I think when we both walked in, we were both in awe. We spent the most amount of time here, it being our first, because we had no idea that we would come across more on our travel down south. We stopped in on our way back north, too! Between the two visits to this particular store, we bought merch, fudge, jerky, a Key Lime pie cup, a brisket taco, and a fountain drink. All the food was delicious. The merchandise is not just Buc-ee's themed items. There are all sorts of kitchen items, home decor, clothing, toys, beach and other gear without the Buc-ee's brand anywhere on it. You can get regular stuff like Doritos and Hershey's bars, Cokes and Gatorades too. The Buc-ee's merch includes clothing, magnets, party items, wrapping paper(!), keychains, you name it, it's there somewhere. There is also a lot of Buc-ee's brand food, like nuggets, mints, jerky, salsa... Served fresh-made are tortillas, sandwiches, tacos, burritos, brisket, jerky, fudge, all sorts of stuff. The fountain drink area gives you tons of choices as well. The service is top notch and everyone is nice. They actually look like they enjoy their jobs, which makes me happy to support the business. Whenever I have mid BBQ....i always say I have had better from a Gas station. This is that good gas station BBQ. I have visited a Buc-ee's in Texas in 2017....so it's been a while but everything is good! Whenever you are in the area it's worth it. I love the brisket! Beaver Nuggets are like crack!
"Clean, Friendly, and in Stock!" [Smiths Grove KY] Whoa, wow! This was my first time inside a Buc-ee's and it is cray-cray inside. The "convenient store" that has everything was filled with people from every corner of the building. This is Kentucky's 2nd Buc-ee's, just off I-65. I believe they currently have 3 locations. This one is in Smiths Grove, the smallest city in the country to house the popular gas station chain. The Texas based gas-station was well received. Being my first time inside a Buc-ee's I was excited to see what everyone was raving about... they have a large diverse food offerings and affordable menu. Loved the wallet-friendly prices! We grabbed a couple of sandwiches, Three Meat Sandwich and Fried Chicken Sandwich and Buc-ee's Beaver Chips. No seating inside so we ate inside the car. Clean facility and excellent customer service! Sensory overload alert! My first time visiting Buc-ee's was overwhelming at first, but I very quickly determined it is a 5-star gas station. The bathrooms are so clean! They have a light above each stall that's red or green to let you know if the stall is occupied or not. I had the brisket sandwich and it was delicious. I also had a cup of pie, which was good. read more
Of the Buc-ee's locations I've been to it's not the best, however it's miles ahead of anything else out there and being not the best it's still really good. If you've been to a few, this one could be the best, and maybe I just had a not the best experience with their food the three visits I can remember. It was still good and nothing to complain about but not as good as another Buc-ee's. This one is also quite crowded. I mean, they all are, but it is, in all of my visits, more crowded that any I've been to. read more

On December 1, my fiancée and I had to travel back to Huntsville, Alabama, since her birthday weekend in Cincinnati had come to a close. On the way back home, she wanted to stop at the Buc-ee's in Bowling Green, Kentucky. This will be our third stop at a Bucee's. Out of the three locations we've stoped at, this location is the busiest. I got my useful order of beef jerky na d beaver nuggets and my fiancée got a brisket sandwich. Another fine Buc-ee's. On average I spend @$150 inside the store every time I stop. All sorts of items I enjoy. I got a pound of each: Dried peppered beef and Korean BBQ jerky. The jerky is one of my staples but it's not the same. Only about half the taste as usual and the dried beef?? Oh, they nailed the dried part alright and forgot the peppered part. Im a bit disappointed but as often as I go to Buc-ee's I'm bound to have an occasional issue. I just hope it's not a trend..... read more
I typically really appreciate this Bucee's the few times I've come in, but today had a poor experience with one of the managers, Shannon (or Sharon, it was hard to read her name tag) . I'm sure it was just a long day for her as our visit was passing through on a long road trip late at night, but I didn't experience any kindness or compassion from her, and it made me want to go elsewhere for what I had come for. We will probably be back to this location for the amazing bathrooms and great gas station, but this unfriendly interaction was one I hope doesn't happen again to others. read more
I always heard and read about the hype and I finally made it to one. to say Buc-ee's is a phenomenon is an understatement. It's sort of cult like, but in a really good way, not in a negative way. My wife and I showed up mid-morning during the week and the crowds were manageable where you could get around and explore without bumping into each other. The site is quite overwhelming and the selection of both merchandise and food is equally overwhelming. Your first look is at the long line of gas pumps, probably 150+ at the front of the store. If you have a hard time finding an open pump, you're not looking hard enough. As you make your way inside the first thing you experience is the smell of the BBQ they are cooking, chopping up and preparing for all the various sandwiches and burritos they offer. You could easily eat all three meals as they change the menu from breakfast, to lunch, to dinner. I had the brisket sandwich, brisket burrito, brisket breakfast burrito, turkey sandwich, peanuts, and MANY more things. If you walk out of there under $50 you show great restraint because you want to try everything given the limited time you are in the are when traveling. What a fun place to gas up, stretch out your legs and buy stuff you didn't know you needed while on a roadtrip. This Smith Grove location is the newest. Bathrooms are clean and huge so no waiting. More gas pumps than I have ever seen anywhere. Lots of to-go food choices but no dining in here. Worth a stop. read more

It's always easy to find an open fuel pump and the restrooms are clean. Their fuel prices are consistently lower than other fuel stations. The employees greet everyone that walks in the door. I always look forward to stopping here. read more
We stopped here on the return trip back to Louisville after our day trip to Bowling Green. We each purchased fresh brisket sandwiches (chopped or sliced) for later that evening and all reported back the next day that they were delicious. My sliced brisket was tender, lean and meaty, and flavorful. I even watched as the fresh brisket was pulled out to the cutting board and prepped and was SO HAPPY to finally find a proper brisket within driving distance at Bucee's of all places. The prices at Bucee's are affordable. Freshness is a calling card and aided by the sheer volume of product purchased every minute. The employees are some of the friendliest and we were greeted at every turn. Bathrooms are PRISTINE. I laughed a bit when I had seen or heard someone laud this business, almost as if it was a pilgrimage, but now I understand. I'm contemplating taking a cooler and making a trip to get brisket. My first visit to Bucee's was Austin, Texas, in 2017 and I stop at each one when the opportunity presents itself to purchase jars of pickled quail eggs and candied jalapeños for myself and family. Went to Kentucky's new Buc-ees store in Smith Grove during its opening week. This was my 2nd time visiting this store and it didn't disappoint. It is an easy drive from Louisville just straight down I-65 south and you there in one and half hours. They greet you once you enter and it just so exciting to visit this place every time. Buc-ees hire the right people b/c they are upbeat and friendly. They have the best food like Bean Burritos, BBQ Brisket Sandwich, Chicken Sandwiches and more that is hot and fresh. We got plenty of merchandise like Buc-ees Beaver, KY refrigerator magnet, and more. We budgeted for $200 but came way under to $120. We took advantage of their cheap gas and headed home. Ahhh, how to describe the magical place that is Bucee's?? Those would describe it as a mere gas station don't like nice things. Going to a Bucees was a genuine life bucket list item for me and this location in Smith County, Ky did not disappoint. For those looking for cheap gas, extremely clean and spacious bathrooms, and just a food and shopping adventure in the middle of your road trip, Bucees is for you. This location is very new so everything seemed incredibly clean and I hope that holds up. In the drive between Lexington and Nashville, it was also the cheapest gas I encountered and loved that there were so many pumps, I had no wait. Bucees is well known for being the Mecca of road trip snacks with options GALORE for any kind of junk food you would want (including pickled quail eggs!) I went the traditional route and opted for several varieties of chips and Cheeto-esque things as well as the sweet, hot roasted nuts and all were delicious, The Bucees chips, hot from the kitchen were my favorite. I didn't like the ranch corn chips very much, as they had very little flavor, but to have one dud is no big. The hot food options are overwhelming and while the beef brisket here is really well known here (and they have a fun callout anytime someone orders one), I don't eat red meat, so opted for a simpler egg and cheese biscuit which was very decent. There is also fried chicken, tacos, all kinds of hot sandwiches, and a whole jerky station. There is also plenty of just fun, kitschy shopping here. Bucees merch is a right of passage and I left with a t-shirt, hat, friendship bracelet, and some toys for friend's kids. Any weird thing you could put a cute Bucees logo on, this store has it and it's fun to explore and see. There are also lots of general clothing/items options, it's almost like being in a Target. Super clean and spacious bathrooms which served me well because I had to do an outfit change for an event I was going to on my drive back and this stop made it easy for me to quickly get ready. Really fast service and lines at the counter, even though it always seems pretty busy/crowded. Do yourself a favor and make a stop at this magical place!! read more

So excited to visit the smiths grove Buc-ee's! I tried the sliced brisket sandwich (nothing exceptional, needed more bbq sauce). Beaver chips and cherry cola were ok. Banana pudding was good. Other Buc-ee's snacks I bought were also just fine. The merch is what I looked forward to the most and I left with some good stuff :) Overall, staff was friendly. I would love to visit Buc-ee's again. read more

You can't go wrong with Bucc/ee. It's Grand opening week. Right now GAS is 2.99 a gallon. This place was packed with people all doing the same thing you are Just looking at all the merchandise and food and drinks. The restrooms are the cleanest I've ever been in. We are hooked on them we drove 430 miles today to experience this. That was round trip. The employees were very nice and patient with everyone. read more

This new Buc-ee's is amazing! It's large, clean, fully stocked, and has plenty of staff to assist you. Everyone is smiling and happy, and the prices are fair. So much to look at! I got an iced coffee, a brisket and cheese breakfast taco, a warmed Cinnamon Roll, and a Sausage, Cheese, & Jalapeño Kolache. Everything was delicious! The Kolache is easy to eat in the car while driving... I highly recommend this Buc-ee's! read more
This was a great place to stop at to pick up some food and gas. The store was more than I expected with tons of food and drink options. It honestly was mind blowing once inside. It had a lot of apparel and even some home decor items. There was a hot food counter that was putting out amazing burritos amongst other items, bakery and sweets area, etc. It's truly a site to see. They also had what I would say is similar to a convenience store area that was huge. The bathrooms was large and clean. The staff were very friendly. There is a huge gas station area outside that was packed and moving quickly. Truly amazing. read more

Yes! There are many places to park a trailer. You can easily pull around. I'd recommend you stay to the outside of the gas pumps.
