I underwent cataract surgery recently, Dr. Bucci reassured me that everything was going to be okay. I was really concerned about surgery to my eyes but he told me he was going to take care of me. Not just him but the entire staff took care of me, put my mind at ease. I'm still in AWE. I'm a strong believer in GOD and I believe that Dr.Bucci and his staff are God sends. I was scheduled for cataract surgery with a multifocal implant today. I was talked in to the unsell of full laser surgery and the premium implant and paid over $6k out of pocket. I was prepped for surgery and about to enter the ER when they asked about one of my medications and when was the last time I took it. It is a once-a-week dose and I last took it 6 days ago. They then tell me that I had to be off of it for 7 days and the anesthesiologist will not budge on it. I told them it would have been nice if they mentioned that in my pre-surgical instructions or even when they called me yesterday, especially since my doctor had sent over my pre-surgical exam and medication list on 1/2. Not only, did they mess up on that, they couldn't reschedule within the 30 days the pre-op exam was good for, so that would mean taking more time off work to get another pre-op physical, in addition to the 2 days i would need to take off work for the procedure and follow up. At this point, I told them to just cancel the entire thing and refund my money. If they can't get something as simple as pre-op instructions right, I don't want them messing with my vision. My wife went to an eye doctor in Mount Pocono who told her she had cataracts and that her insurance covered cataract procedures. He Explained to her that dr. Bucci will be doing the procedure, so he scheduled the consultation with my wife and doctor Bucci. She said that he was very arrogant, talked about himself like he was some kind of God, then told her he would do corrective surgery while he did cataract surgery for 5k an eye. Ten THOUSAND dollars out of pocket even after the insurance payout. We turned him down thinking this was VERY unreasonable .... And glad we did because we spoke to another Doctor after and he verified that a cataract surgery was in essence a corrective procedure, again, which the insurance actually paid for ... So what was the 10 Thousand extra for ??? Scammer through and through ... OHHHH After she cancelled he billed her a consultation fee of 200$ for 10 minutes of him bragging and trying to upsell her WTF ???? read more

Bridget and her friends at the front desk are unprofessional. They think it's OK to feed dogs instead of taking care of clients when I went to make a complaint Bridges Friend picked up because Bridget told her her side and the friend started going back-and-forth with me. I have never had this type of service at any doctors office. This is the second time I had to make a complaint about Bridget and over a year time frame. read more

No matter how good they might be, technically, I can not recommend any practice that seems more interested in how much money they can get from you over time. Pay thousands up front only to be charged for corrective follow-ups? Office staff is also among the least efficient I've ever seen UNLESS it comes to making sure you pay up front. read more

I had the worst experience going to Dr. Bucci. More interested on how much he can get out of you and not your care. Had cataract surgery and he never explained anything about the procedure just how much the lenses would cost. Had 1st one and felt everything. Went back in two weeks for the other eye. Told anesthesiologist that I felt the 1st one and didn't want to feel anything on this one. It was worse and the pain was so bad. Having nothing but problems now and going to a new eye surgeon to fix. Hated the whole experience. It was like an assembly line and no one cared about you, just about billing you. read more

I felt quite rushed by Bucci Laser Vision Center. I was diagnosed with cataracts years ago, but after two successive concussions, I was sent to visual therapy where Bucci Laser Vision is located. The staff was friendly for the visual therapy, but I felt quite pressured, railroaded, almost,to receive laser cataract removal. I did not have my surgery done at this facility. read more

I had a horrible experience at Dr. Bucci's. Him nor his staff deserve any stars!!!! I had a stye removed 4 years ago and he was more like a butcher. He kept me waiting for more than 3 hours. He left half of the stye there that led to more problems. I never received a follow up phone call. He even flaked on my follow up appointment. read more

.BUCCI Sucks. He operated on my eye and I left his office with an Infection. The pain was Terrible. I tried to contact him and he was no where to be found. I had an appointment the next day and told him how my eye was and he said to give it some time. He told me to come back in a week. I went to Wills Eye in Philadelphia and they had to Drain the Infection and Inject Antibiotics into my eye to try to save it. They said If I waited the week the Infection could have blinded my eye. They told me the infection did do some damage to my eye. I now cannot see as good as I did before he operated on me. Total Nightmare. He has cost me good vision, pain, stress, anxiety, and thousands of dollars out of pocket and I still cannot see good out of my eye. He never even got in touch with me to see how I was doing. Find yourself a Doctor that cares about his patients, not one that is running an Assembly Line. It's all about the Money, You are only a Number and Dollar signs at his practice. read more

Please don't go to Dr Bucci , If I can save one person from going through what am going through it will help me knowing my horror story saved someone else ! He ruined my eyes ! I can't see near or far now ! I use to see good enough that I only needed glasses at night! Now I have chronic inflammation in both eyes and had to go to a retina specialist and am scared my eyes will never be the same ! I am a woman and never wore much makeup but everyone complemented my eyes I use to wear mascara to make my lashes stand out , now I can't even wear that ! This has been a long on going nightmare! He left me in operating room with eye taped open while he had lunch even the nurse said how long does it take to eat soup! My eye was left eye the one that was worse then right eye, Well after surgery I called went in they said it was ok , so went for right eye thinking I just didn't give left eye time to heal he had them call me to come one hour early , I live 45 minutes away so I went an hour early he did the same thing to me !!! When he finally came in I was to say the least very upset and let him know it now my good eye the right is worse then the left????? Still going to specialist! It's been months now and my vision is worse! I wish I never went to him my nightmare still ongoing!! read more

I have never left a negative review anywhere; but I will be dealing with the results of Dr. Bucci's surgery for the rest of my life. I will always wonder whether another surgeon would have been more pro-active about dealing with my eye problems after the surgery. I will also wonder whether another surgeon would have taken greater care in placing the lenses in my eyes the first time, rather than relying on a 2nd surgery to provide any final correction that might be needed. Perhaps I would have ended up with better eyesight as a result. Because now, this 2nd surgery will never happen, due to issues created by the first surgery. First of all, cataract surgery should not be painful. The first eye went fine. The 2nd one IMMEDIATELY felt different as soon as I was wheeled out of the OR. I expressed concern at that time and was told everything was fine. Yet within the next few hours, my eye began to feel like it was being stabbed over and over again by a sharp needle. It became increasingly worse as time went on - the most horrible pain I've ever felt. Thankfully though, after about 11 hours of this pain, it did finally start to subside. As we all know, cataract surgery should not hurt any more than a dry, prickly sensation (which is what I experienced with my first eye). I have spoken with dozens of people who have had cataract surgery. None of them have ever felt the pain that I felt ... just a slight discomfort. I had paid considerably more for premium lenses to correct my astigmatism. I was promised (and paid for) a 2nd procedure to further correct any residual astigmatism. Yet months went by without it being done. Finally after 10 months, Dr. Bucci was ready to move forward. That was 10 LONG months of my being unable to read without difficulty. (He had left my eyes corrected to two different strengths so OTC reading glasses did not work perfectly). And because my distance vision was not corrected by the initial surgery, I was unable to see the TV clearly, read street signs, order from a fast food or airport eatery, or travel easily by myself ... for those 10 months. I also experienced ongoing pain, watery eyes, and couldn't wear eye makeup for longer than a few hours. And when - after 5 months - I tried to let him know how much pain and distress I was in, he had an angry outburst in the office that left me wondering if I could even trust him to do what was best for me. In fact, the outburst came after he told me that I would need an additional $1600 treatment to resolve my issues. When I sadly told him that I could unfortunately not afford that on top of the $3600 loan I had just taken out to pay for the initial cataract surgery, he said the 5 words no patient ever wants to hear from their doctor (and that I will never forget) ... "Then you're out of luck". Fortunately, I kept looking for a solution and found one online that cost less than $20. It no doubt took a bit longer than Dr. Bucci's expensive solution, but I did manage to find relief ... the first in many months. Later, after leaving Dr. Bucci's practice, I found another doctor who patiently worked with me to help me even further. So ... contrary to Dr. Bucci's statement, I was NOT out of luck ... I just needed a different doctor. Unfortunately, I will never have the excellent vision promised during his sales seminar and will always deal with other on-going eye issues as a result as well. read more

The customer service here is the worst, my wife has been wearing prescription contacts for 30+ years and after her apt her new prescription for contacts was never finalized meaning she would have to come back and demonstrate the ability to put them in and take them out before she can order more lenses. let me repeat my wife HAS SUCCESSFULLY worn contact lenses for over 30 years, now that she needs to order more lenses... SAME PERSCRIPTION they say she needs to SCHEDULE a VISIT to demonstrate the capability to take them out and put them in, oh and the DR she needs to see is only available on Monday mornings, What a sham. so would I recommend this office, NO I would not! read more

First time gettng a cataract done, and i wont go back there again, like a herd of cattle, and oh, he was running late, appt was for 830, they told me to be there at 8, didnt get my lens in until after 1130, never again, i was a nervous wreck , my mouth was so dry, way to long to be waiting with no IV, I will be looking for another doctor for my other eye read more

This dr bucci makes you believe your going to see like superman, when in fact, its the opposite. he has 2.5 stars for a reason. its an assembly line organization, your nothing but a taxi fare next in line. there is no one on one here. the whole shtick that your going to see great with his new methods is nothing but bs. i still cant see correctly and the other eye dr's in the area WILL NOT even see you to correct his foul ups if you were a previous patient of his. this whole operation is a scam.
