We had a wonderful meal here at the bar and great service from the staff. The chopped salad with chopped iceberg, bacon, and blue cheese with ranch dressing was fresh, crisp and delicious and large enough for 2 to share with an entree. The Chicken Marsala was very good and I brought enough home for 2 more meals. My date had the Veal Parmesan and brought a second meal home. Decor was very nice. More upscale feeling than most Italian restaurants, but still comfortable for casual dress. Only thing somewhat negative was only one kind of Chardonnay which I felt was over-priced at $14 per glass. Best linguine & clam sauce around. I grew up coming here and I still love it. I hadn't been in ages and we wanted pasta...so we did a pick up order on our way home and it was just as delicious as i remembered. The herbed butter is life changing! Stopped here on our way downtown to Playhouse Square. Greeted warmly when we walked in. Noticed they treated every customer like family. Food was outstanding (wedding soup and all 4 entrees). Visited for the first time today (12/29/25). I place an order over the phone. The gentleman who answered was efficient yet friendly. I ordered the spaghetti bolognese, side salad with extra dressing and calamari. Food was done in about 25 mins. Ambiance of this establishment is cozy, clean and intimate. Staff was good. Ive been going here since I was a kid, I love the family atmosphere and the food is always amazing. I recently went there for the B1G1 half off deal. I ordered a kids meal with the blush sauce and meatball to go ($10)..I also ordered 2 extra meatballs to go ($8). This is what it normally costs me whenever I order this, but she charged me $3 extra for the blush on my pasta ( never mentioned it) as well as she asked if I wanted the extra meatballs in the sauce or on the side, I assumed she meant "in the sauce" meant in with my pasta and other meatball, but I was again charged an additional $3 for them to be "in the sauce"!!!! I then used my debit card and was then charged an additional 3% ( which is supposed to be for credit cards not debits) . I am a huge advocate for small businesses, however this rubbed me the wrong way. When asked how my meal was I voiced my opinion and nothing was offered to me to offset my experience. If things would have been better communicated to me, I would have been able to make better choices, and yes it wasn't even the money , but the principal and the fact that they did nothing but apologize at the end. Small businesses are struggling and rely on customers word of mouth to bring in new business and support them but this unfortunately rubbed me the wrong way Goodbye Buccis....never again. This turned out to be a wonderfully serendipitous find. We had planned to eat elsewhere, but that restaurant was closed on Sundays, so a quick Yelp search led us to this spot just a few blocks away. When we arrived, a few parties were leaving, so we were seated right away. The host was welcoming, and our server arrived promptly and was equally friendly. We were in town visiting family and friends. Italian is always a go to for us. The restaurant is small and intimate, but very inviting. We managed to get in touch with them for a reservation of 6. We arrived 15 minutes early and our table was waiting for us. Our server was the owners daughter and she was super amazing. They do not serve liquor. Only beer and wine. This was the only reason I knocked off one star. The menu is not large. It has all your standard dishes. We had calamari and mozzarella cheese. Both very good. I ordered the manicotti and it was very good. Stuffed and smothered with lots of cheese. Very large portions and it included soup and salad. Great dinner and atmosphere. If we come back to Cleveland, we will visit again. My friends will return for sure. read more

The quest for NEO best veal parmigiana took us to Bucci's. Located in a fairly generic strip plaza we visited on a Tuesday evening. We had a reservation (glad we did) and were seated immediately. Restaurant was close to full and they seemed to be doing a brisk take-out business. Bucci's is everything you look for in a neighborhood Italian restaurant. Food was very good...I had veal parmigiana, wife had veal marsala. Both were excellent. Portion size was huge with enough for a nice lunch the next day. Had calamari as app...also very good and a huge portion. Dinner came with solid bread and a nice green salad. Cannoli's for dessert and were delicious. Prices were extremely fair. Only beer and wine. Had a decent enough Chianti. Service was excellent...friendly, upbeat. Just seemed like nice/good people. Got the feeling family mostly staffed the place. Physical restaurant was just ok...seemed neat and clean, just nothing really special. Over, a really great experience...everything you could want in a neighborhood spot. read more

I am rating take out as a 3 and dine in experience as a 5. For some reason when you get take out like lasagna or eggplant park, the meal is severely lacking in the lasagna or eggplant and loaded up to look like lots of food with tons of mozzarella cheese. Very little substance. If you were to order this eating at the restaurant it is a far different story and the opposite. Not sure why, sorry to say as take out is disappointing. I love this place! The owner Don Allison and his family (wife, brother and daughter) were so welcoming! We came from Maryland and saw their online reviews so we stopped by. It's a great little restaurant that is so unassuming from the outside but don't let that stop you! The food is the most delicious REAL Italian food I've had in such a long time! I got chicken parm and my friend got the lasagna! Portions are huge. I took a canoli home with me and my father said it was delicious. (He's Italian). Oh, and the HOMEMADE cavatelli!!! To die for! I love this place! It is located in a little unassuming shopping plaza, but the food they make is the star of the show here! I have no been a few times and needed to leave a review! Lana was our waitress, and her personality was infectious -- she was a total sweetheart and made sure to take care of us on our very first visit to the restaurant (she deserves a raise if you ask me!) I ordered the kids gnocchi (trying to portion control since I wanted dessert) and it was perfect. Pillowy and a slight chew. Red sauce was perfect - just how I like it, with a little hint of sweet. Fresh bread and freshly shredded Parmesan it was a 10/10. I did also order the chocolate lava cake with ice cream for dessert. Not your average strip mall Italian Restaurant. Bucci's is tucked between a minimart and a dry cleaner on a busy corner...don't keep driving, park and get inside quick! Family owned, house made pasta, amazing wait staff...it's worth the wait. Because of location, Bucci's is small but get a glass of wine and wait. They have an extensive menu, pizza, pasta, chicken, veal and plenty of veggie options. The food was delicious and the portions were HUGE. My husband and I both ordered the house made cavatelli, there is an upcharge, but so worth it. Perfectly cooked and like butter! We started with salad, pretty basic but the dressings are house made and that is what makes the difference. Did I mention they make the garlic butter too...warm bread and I could have just eaten that as my meal. I opted for the red clam and my husband had the bolagnase, both were amazing. Unfortunately with lent, we opted out of dessert but it was authentic Italian pastries just like Nona would make. So if you are in Rocky River and you want Good snd i mean Good Italian food head to Bucci's. You are greeted like a member of the family from the time you walk in to the time you cash out. This is a great spot for family Italian food. They've got Sinatra singing and a hint of family debate in the kitchen (which I love). I had cavatelli, which was very good, and my wife had the chicken parm, which not only was good that night, but the leftovers (and there WILL be leftovers, given the quantities) were also good after reheating.
