    Charcuterie Plate

Italian creations always serves the best quality food. The roasted asparagus was the BEST I have ever had! They made a charcuterie without nuts and added a few other items for us. Everything was delicious and well thought out. A definite must try!

I'll jump on this five-star wagon. Taste is outstanding and portions are enormous. Had the linguini carbonara. Very rich and very tasty. We also had the pesto fettuccine with chicken and artichokes. Pesto sauce was excellent. Baked ziti was mixed with so much cheese, the red sauce looked pink. And mama had an eggplant parmigiana sandwich that she really liked. Nobody ate more than 1/3 of their pasta. Also got the pepperoni bites which were excellent. Lastly, I ordered a stuffed pizza with pepperoni and black olives. As a big fan of Chicago style stuffed pizza, this one missed the mark. Don't get me wrong, it was delicious, but not what I expected. Antonio's does it right, in a spring form pan where the sides stand 3-4" tall, a huge bread roll on top and red sauce in the center sprinkled with parmigiana. This stuffed pizza was more like a round calzone. Matter in fact, one of my daughters asked who got the calzone? There was no sauce on it, but a big tub on the side. Bottom line, very, very good. If you don't want leftovers, order half of what you think you need.

***Update: we had the pizza tonight and it was so delicious. I think it's the best pizza in have had in CLE since moving here last year. We also tried the carbonara- seemed more like an Alfredo sauce. But honestly, it was so good, they can call it whatever they like! I have yet to try something we don't like. My hubby says they will cater everything in our life from here forward.*** The best thing that ever happened to me when craving Italian food in Lakewood was ordering from Italian Creations. I've currently tried the chicken parmesan, the meat lasagna and the chicken marsala. First, the red sauce for the lasagna and the chicken parm is so yummy- nice rich flavor and perfect balance of sweet and rich. The perfect sauce. My hubby and I ordered these two dishes the first time and we had enough for two huge meals. Warning: you will want to eat it all. All of it. Great portion of chicken and pasta. Lasagna was beyond delicious. I tend not to order lasagna but this is one I just can't stop thinking about. Layers of cheese and meat and tons of sauce. Both dishes reheated very well. Next try was a solo run and I had the chicken marsala. Um, outrageously good! This is not something I would order but hubby put the idea in my mind and wasn't feeling red sauce. He does not like gnocchi so I ordered with spaghetti instead so he could eat the leftovers. Hahaha- testament to true love that there was anything left. Sauce was creamy and perfect hint of sweetness but rich from the wine. Huge slices of portobello mushrooms. Yum! The prices may seem high but don't let that deter you! We are talking super generous portions and homemade goodness. From other places in the area, portion/price ratio is a real steal. This is fine dining Italian in the comfort of your own home. The meals we had all came with salad and bread. The bread should have a review of its own because it is THAT good. Soft and flavorful, with focaccia like crusty layer on top. I just want to eat the whole loaf. Definitely try this place out!! I can't wait to try the pizza and sandwiches. Ok, and I have an eye on the carbonara.. They deliver for a $2 service fee.

Italian Creations is perfect for everything from a night in, to an elegant wedding. Their food is fantastic, and the portions are big, so there are always leftovers for lunch! You must try the roasted red pepper sauce, which you can order on pasta or pizza. All of their sauces and dressings are homemade, which makes it even better. I have used Italian Creations for several catering events, and it has always turned out flawlessly.

Half of a Grilled Chicken on ciabatta with caramelized onions! Mmmmmm! And it's ginormous!

The reason was there most times amazing bartenders. It wasn't always that way, and we almost gave up. But those two guys bartenders were an amazing duo. One, can't recall his name, left a few months ago and the "shine" has worn a bit. While we have been very loyal, we've kept our mouths shut on the consistency of the food over time. The other night my lasagna was luke warm. I could tell immediately when it was placed in front of me. The cheese was barely melted. What chef did not obviously see that?! They were unexpectedly dead that night, so there was no rush on food. Numerous negative experiences over time have caused our long time loyalty to end after this week. In the past, when they were busy, it was more acceptable to just accept a mediocre meal and hope bit better next time. Service is great there! From host stand to the bar. So no criticism there! Another thing, they keep that place so cold. I'm a normal sized person and it's always cold in there. The other night, when it was 77, we asked why the doors weren't open to let fresh air in. They didn't seem to know. Lastly, that big muscular lady manager is horrible. I am always nice to everyone, as I've worked in many restaurants. As I went to the bathroom before and smiled and said hi and gave a great compliment about her bartending staff, I was met with no emotion and maybe some low talk, head turn away, with no acknowledgment about my high praise. I know, having worked in restaurants, it starts at the top. PS. Why can I not get just normally cooked noodles?! It's not ever "al dente" and often an undercooked sticky noodle situation. We'll be visiting other Italian restaurants for now on.

I'm not truffle connoisseur, but decided to try something new. Based on our conversation with the chef who approached our table after dinner, he was dreaming of hosting this dinner forever. There was always something that came in the way until this decadent evening. I'll share my experience from the special dinner. AMBIENCE: Palazzo is like a gallery meets fine Italian restaurant. There are plenty sculptures including Michelangelo's David replica. Paintings of ballerinas reminding me of Degas. Walls of wine bottles, predominance of stone accents, and a small vase fountain transport you to Italy. Touches like backlights and wine bottle walls make the atmosphere romantic. The restaurant has multiple dining room spaces. There is also a wooden bar. There is also a covered patio. During our visit the restaurant was extremely crammed. The dinner was sold out. Tables were so close together that it was challenging to navigate between them. Guests had to move their tables to let someone pass through - other patrons or staff. I did not feel comfortable with these seating arrangements. The restaurant was very extremely loud. I couldn't sit comfortably without bumping my chair into other guests. I'm not sure how the dining layout looks like during regular days. Hopefully there is more room at the restaurant. The bathroom is in the basement, so not ADA accessible. The ceiling in the bathroom was awkwardly low. FOOD: Our dinner was 6 course experience for $125 (no tax, no gratuity, and no drinks included). First course (Antipasto) was Pera Sacchetti - Pasta Pillows, Pear, Formaggio,Truffle Cream Sauce, Fig Balsamic. Second course (Insalata) was Arugula - Black Truffle Oil & Shaved Parmesan. Third course (La Pasta) was Cheese Tortelloni & Sea Scallops - Shaved Fresh Truffle, Butter, Garlic. Fourth course was (Pesce Pan Seared Halibut) Black Truffle Cream Sauce & Roasted Rainbow Carrots. Fifth course (Mare e Monti) was Grilled Filet Mignon Medallion & Petite Butter Poached Lobster Tail Truffle Butter & Cauliflower Purée. Sixth course (Dolce) was Truffle Cream Filled Cannoli. Every course featured generous amount truffles and was very well crafted. I loved Mare e Monti, filet mignon and lobster were well prepared. While the courses were pretty petite, the dinner was filling. Considering the dinner menu, it was good value. Beyond the dinner, my friends really enjoyed wines. I ordered Prickly Pear mocktail ($10). It was okay, but not really flavorful. It was too ginger beer forward. It was pleasant to seem multiple mocktail options. SERVICE: It was wonderful that the chef personally greeted every table. I enjoyed learning about his story. It was a nice touch for him to speak with the guests. The rest of the service was average. The hostess was not very pleasant which set a bad first impression. Our waiter was fantastic but awkward. He kept taking away wine glasses and bringing back the same glasses. There was a lot of confusion with drink orders, and the wrong bill included the wine. Perhaps this was due to handling a large crowd. EVENTS: The restaurant is planning other upcoming events. For instance, Lenten dinner ($55) on Wednesday and Friday (February 18-April 2). PARKING: The restaurant has a very small parking lot with an incline. Arrive very early if you want to secure a spot. There is really no street parking nearby. You can park at the RTA bus station across the street. Parking experience is inconvenient. I'm conflicted on how to rate this restaurant. I enjoyed dinner, presentation, mood, and personal chef approach. I didn't like the table arrangements, service, and parking. If the service was warmer and less rushed, I would be all about this restaurant.

We ordered two small specialty pizzas and one extra-large pizza, all with pan crust. After placing our order, I overheard the kitchen mention they were out of pan crust, but no one informed us right away. When our two small pizzas arrived, I assumed the extra-large was still being prepared. When I asked about it, our server told me I had requested it to go, which I had not. To her credit, she tried to make things right by providing a pizza to take home, but the crusts and sizes were still not what we originally ordered. She also spent time explaining what was going on in the kitchen. Personally, I prefer when a problem is simply corrected rather than accompanied by excuses. In the end, I didn't eat much because I didn't care for the hand-tossed crust. To add to the disappointment, an automatic 20% gratuity was added to the bill, which was surprising and something I had never seen there before. Overall, this was not the experience I've come to expect from this restaurant. I'm not sure I'll be returning anytime soon.
