They only dress it with lettuce and tartar so I had them add pickles but I regret not adding all the usual suspects. It was fantastic. My only criticism was the bread wanted to fall apart ( toasted too much?). The chicken cracklings were good and the jalapeño jelly dip with them was very good. My mother in law rants and raves and it definitely is worth all that. The food was fantastically seasoned and tasted wonderful. It's definitely far out for us since we stay in Baton Rouge but it is well worth the drive. Our server was amazing and so sweet. Our drinks were never empty. And the environment was every chill, a family vibe that was cozy and comfortable. I'm Excited to go back. My only complaint is the portions seemed a bit small, my husband was still very hungry after his red beans. But if that's the only complaint it's still a good place to visit! read more

Me and my family went here and the poor service quality ruined the whole experience. Our server barely spoke to us and would spend long periods of time behind the wall talking. When we were shocked by a severely concerning and disgusting crawfish tail that had look either rotten or infected with a parasite she responded to our pleas to ask the kitchen about it by making us give her a napkin so it wouldn't touch her hand but then proceeding to go visibly behind the bar instead of the the kitchen and throw it away without a word spoken to anybody. After this we witnessed her constantly rubbing and wiping her nose with her hand and full arm without washing or sanitizing her hands, and still proceeding to run food. I do not recall this servers name but a busy environment is no excuse for this laziness and overall irresponsibility. This seems like it's a tourist spot and just didn't represent LA food to its full potential. We ordered the volcano shrimp and they were pretty mid. Anything is good if you drown it in sauce. The chicken sandwich was terrible, extremely over cooked chicken and no flavor. We got the Chicken with queso and jalapeños, it was juicy but the queso wasn't good. It would be really good if the queso was a little better and there were bell peppers added with the jalapeños. Imagine the disappointment when craving some good boiled shrimp and the menu said it was imported from Indonesia. All I could think about was that I was going to be smelling like Indonesia bus stop full of imported shrimp and skeezers. Kudos to them for listing that it was imported but come on bro. This is not so far from the gulf that you can't get legit shrimp. Not to mention it was somewhere around $20 a pound. Hell, that is highway robbery for imported shrimp. But hey, when in Henderson right? So I ordered it and guess what? It was a huge disappointment. Mushy and flavorless. I am sure that during Crawfish season they serve local Crawfish and that it is great. But I wasn't here during that season and left incredibly disappointed. I am sure that their main clientele is tourists traveling through the area and they don't know any better. But Gulf shrimp is far superior to the imported shrimp. Get with the program CT. read more

I got the kids meal red beans and rice. It was pretty spicy but overall very good. . The people are very nice, the parking is great. There needs to be less hot sauce in the kids meal. There's a claw machine it is rigged, I wasted $10 on it but ended up with creepy smiling stuffed monkey. With its big red barn of a building, Crawfish Town gives major tourist trap vibes. Like wtf do a barn and crawfish have to do with each other?' Nothing. How you gonna have a building that makes no sense in regards to its menu and be successful? To me, it makes no sense so it must suck. And I'd have never even given the place a chance but I followed a local celebrity here. We came here for the band only and I went in knowing I'd have dinner here but would most likely be disappointed cause I'm local and my standards are high, high regarding Cajun food. Sky high. First of all, the atmosphere. This isn't that place that tries too hard to be Cajun and overdoes everything thus giving away the fact that they suck and they know they suck but tourists are dumb, right? No, this place is legit. It doesn't even have to try at all because it is the standard. It's laidback, effortless and REAL. If you know, you know.I was so pleasantly surprised by this. But what about the food? Enchiladas are a weakness of mine and if it starts with "make a roux" and ends with crawfish and cheese then YES the fuck I do want it. And they were damn good. They didn't even try to make them look "fancy" by bringing them out with some awful red checkered napkins. It was messy looking and plated in a rush and plopped in front of me with no tahh-dahh or anything. They were freaking delicious. Don't let the silly building deter you. Our fantastic experience here started as soon as we walked through the door....A lovely young lady sat us at a nice big booth and introduced herself as Imani. She had great suggestions for us, was prompt and personable, and clearly had great customer service skills. Our food was served quickly and was delicious, all very reasonably priced. Stopped here during a recent roadtrip through Louisiana. Started the meal off with Pork skins and praline gator bites. Both are huge portions, so probably could have stuck with just one. Next up was 3lbs of crawfish with sausage, corn, potatoes and onions. These might have been the best quality and best tasting crawfish I've ever had. Coming from Houston we are used to dabing our crawfish in lots of melted butter and seasoning. They don't really do that in Louisiana and with crawfish this good you don't need to.. Get quality crawfish and get the boils down right and you'll have all the flavor you need. read more

It was a cool night so we sat on the patio and they had live music playing, Smooth Band which the singer had a nice voice and interacts with the crowd. It was a perfect volume to still visit and have conversations without yelling over the music but still a fun bar like atmosphere. Family friendly too! I ordered a half-size Volcano Shrimp poboy and tots---delish and plenty of food. Not as spicy as I expected, which was not a problem. My husband had a cheeseburger and said it was very good. The buns on both sandwiches were so soft and good. Lastly, we had the bread pudding and it was outstanding! The food was really good here. I ordered the stuffed cat fish and a side of shrimp first. The shrimp and homemade tartar sauce are my favorite. The stuffed cat fish was really good as well. I chose the cajun potato I believe as a side. It was brownish with some sausage in it. Pretty good. I also ordered a seafood enchilada of some sort. This was also pretty good. Only miss was it probably should have sat in the broiler a few more minutes. The center wasn't quite hot enough, but otherwise I enjoyed it. The desserts sounded good, but I had eaten entirely too much. Next time I'm here I'd like to try a crabcake burger and one of the desserts. We recently had an opportunity to try crawfish town USA which is housed in a big red barn that is so fun to pull up to! We ordered 10 lbs of crawfish to share and a few sides. We enjoyed the crawfish here, flavor was good and had a nice remoulade to dip your crawfish in too. The service was EXCEPTIONAL, the best we had traveling throughout Southern Louisiana. I think the only thing I was disappointed about what's the cost for a meal. We had crawfish elsewhere that were bigger and cheaper. We are giving this five stars because of Andrew our server who is the bartender at this place! His short boss was asking if he knew us because he spent time with us telling us about the area and what we should see .... He also told us about the spices and hot sauce they use which we went into their shop and bought a whole bunch for friends !!!! But not gonna lie their food is awesome and the bread amazing! We got catfish bites, and drinks!!! We are staying at the margarita ville rv park next door!!!! we are here for a week so we'll be going back to this place several times I think I only bought four of their spice for the bread. The seafood gumbo wasn't my fave. Not enough seafood but a good soup. The shrimp poboy had lots of shrimp and crispy bread. The catfish Atchafalaya had a good amount of fish and really good étouffée on top. We came back a second time and the oysters were fantastic again. Great size and well shucked. The boiled crawfish were well cooked and fairly spicy. The boiled shrimp were 12-16ct and ez peel which I loved. I ordered spicy and they were SPICY. Service is friendly. Pricing is good. Seating is well spaced for COVID and mask wearing was generally good The attached market has a decent selection but not the best in the area. I'd eat here again anytime. read more

Got the fried blue crab 'fingers' as an appetizer, and they were very good - odd that they didn't serve them with melted butter. The bread, as is the case with nearly every restaurant in South Louisiana, is excellent, and they top theirs with Cajun seasoning! Even the owner came over to our table to talk to us! Our server Angel was literally an angel, and the food was some of the best I've eaten! I was told a place called Smiley's Grill had the best fried seafood and after eating at both places I can honestly say that Crawfish Town USA was on a completely different level! The fried catfish was so delectable that is was like biting into the softest stick of melty, buttery, devine flavor and don't even get me started on the coleslaw....the way the cabbage and the juices sent me into a euphoric overload as soon as it touched my tongue! I would literally drive 6 hours just to have that good again! The prices were right, the service was FANTASTIC, and the portions were well worth the money! And the overall feel of the building made me feel like I was in an old time Cajun bayou restaurant, where an old Cajun woman is in the back singing and dancing while whipping up the magical dishes!
