I used to really enjoy this place, but the quality seems to have gone down. The portions felt smaller than before, and the food just wasn't as good as I remembered. The service was okay, but nothing special. I was also disappointed that they didn't have boiled crawfish or crabs available. Overall, it just wasn't the same experience I was expecting.

Boiled Veggie Combo

My mother in law rants and raves and it definitely is worth all that. The food was fantastically seasoned and tasted wonderful. It's definitely far out for us since we stay in Baton Rouge but it is well worth the drive. Our server was amazing and so sweet. Our drinks were never empty. And the environment was every chill, a family vibe that was cozy and comfortable. I'm Excited to go back. My only complaint is the portions seemed a bit small, my husband was still very hungry after his red beans. But if that's the only complaint it's still a good place to visit!

Boudin Egg Rolls

We started with boudin egg rolls that were delicious. Then we had 2# of crawfish with corn, andouille sausage, potatoes and mushrooms. Just the right amount of heat and delicious!

A warm welcome and a big plate of crawfish makes for a wonderful dinner. This was a nice evening spent at Crawfish Town USA. Jody the server was very delightful and made me feel right at home. The crawfish with potatoes, corn and dip was delicious! Definitely recommend getting 2lbs with dip. The burger and fries also had strength! Thank you for making an out of towner welcome at your restaurant. Next time I visit Louisiana I'll be back!

This was a nice family friendly restaurant. The dining area has a nice Louisiana feel and is really spacious. I enjoyed the live music. Our waitress was pleasant and accommodating. I ordered the fish platter with sweet potato fries. The fish was amazing and fresh. The coleslaw was a little dry for my taste, but every thing else was delicious.

Kids meal Red Beans & Sausage

I got the kids meal red beans and rice. It was pretty spicy but overall very good. . The people are very nice, the parking is great. There needs to be less hot sauce in the kids meal. There's a claw machine it is rigged, I wasted $10 on it but ended up with creepy smiling stuffed monkey. So overall it wasn't a total loss The bathrooms were clean and excellent for selfies with my sister.

Stopped here during a recent roadtrip through Louisiana. Started the meal off with Pork skins and praline gator bites. Both are huge portions, so probably could have stuck with just one. Next up was 3lbs of crawfish with sausage, corn, potatoes and onions. These might have been the best quality and best tasting crawfish I've ever had. Coming from Houston we are used to dabing our crawfish in lots of melted butter and seasoning. They don't really do that in Louisiana and with crawfish this good you don't need to.. Get quality crawfish and get the boils down right and you'll have all the flavor you need.

Louisiana Crawfish - for those familiar with this delicate freshwater crustacean there's nothing…read morethat compares, these Louisiana farm raised crawfish are the absolute best in class. Breaux Bridge is in the heart of Cajun Country a.k.a. "The Crawfish Capital of the World" and folks around here know their crawfish and they never settle for anything less than the freshest crawfish available with the highest of quality. I often buy these frozen crawfish tails packed in their own fat when traveling through or from Louisiana - these delicious mudbugs usually end up in a black pot of Étouffée or Jambalaya long after the season is over served over white rice or pasta but I've also been known to fry or sauté them and create a delicious crawfish po-boy on a crusty loaf of french bread. There are a number of farmers and processors around the state that provide a high quality product and believe me these guys are at the top of that list. I was raised on these crustaceans so the recipes are forever stored in my brain, but for the novice there are recipes printed on the packaging and the internet can provide an unlimited number of options as well. If you think the price is a little steep here's a factoid for you based on a 15% yield it takes between 6-7 pounds of live crawfish to equal approximately 1 lb. of tail meat now dats a real bargain...

Ambiance: 3/5 Parking is in front and next to the gas station. Once inside, there's table seating inside with ordering done at the front Restrooms could use an upgrade, but help get the job done. Food: 5/5 I looked over the menu and decided to try the Bayou Sampler. Comes with 2PC chicken (your choice dark or white meat or for extra cost can get mixed), red beans & rice, boudin link & biscuit. All had good flavor, except the biscuit, it was ok. Chicken wasn't greasy but moist with flavor. Red beans also very tasty and boudin link just as good. Service: 5/5 The counter server was friendly and so were the cooks, while it did take a while to get my food, it's cooked to order so that's understandable. Once I got my food, I wanted to take a photo and realized that my order was missing the chicken. Thankfully I had not left before checking it (rule of thumb for any to go order, check your food) The counter server was quick to speak to the kitchen and they brought out my full plate in short time.

Well, after a few years resisting frequent requests to try Mi Tio, again, I relented. Our…read moreexperience this evening was essentially the same... food was not good, service was only fair, and, prices were not good for what we got. Tonight, I had Birria enchiladas, refritos and rice. The beans and rice were just ok. The birria was definitely unrecognizable. First, it's beef, not goat. It tasted like beef boiled in water, and shredded. Pretty much flavorless, definitely not birria. When I complained, I was offered the consommé, which added some flavor, but not birria. My meal was a total disappointment. My daughter had the taco plate with three different fillings, steak, carnitas, and chicken. All three were so salty, she couldn't eat them. Her beans and rice were good. The only bright spot was my lady's meal... an ala Carte bean burrito and a side of guacamole. The burrito was a tortilla, some refried beans and what seemed to be a queso fresco sauce. It was good. The guac was good. So, bottom line, it was a bad experience because the food was unrecognizable as what it was supposed to be. This was my exact complaint when Mi Tio had its grand opening. My Spanish speaking servers, assured me, in Spanish, I should give them another chance after the grand opening. Here we are years later dropping $65 for pitiful food and only fair drinks, barely even Mexican style. Not good. Not recommended. And definitely not real Mexican food. My daughter was our out of town guest, and she couldn't eat her meal because it was so salty. I was embarrassed. As I said on my first visit, ¡Buena suerte, Pobrecitos!

It was recommended over another place called Chicken on the Bayou. I ordered 2 cheese enchiladas but had to send them back they were cold and when eating them no flavor. Another of us ordered Chimichunga which he said was good. Another ordered a crispy chicken taco. My husband ordered Acapulco Plate which was fajitas. No flavor to meet except shrimp. They were not busy and it seemed like it took them a little while to make our margaritas. Our friends got ice tea and beer fast. I can recommend it but there were other choices too.
