So glad we stopped here for lunch - we were wanting authentic Cajun home cooking, and it was so so good! We saw Anthony Bourdain had featured Glenda's Kitchen in 2011 for the Cajun Country episode and we understand why he picked this restaurant. It is a "hole in the wall" type of place, but we wanted authentic! We had very flavorful, seasoned rice and gravy brisket and pork with sides. Miss Glenda sat and talked with us for awhile and she is the real deal. They are open everyday - dine in until 1 pm and drive thru until 2 pm. You can call ahead an order in case they run out of something you really want. Definitely will be back!!

I'm going to play class selection wasn't to my liking. So I ended up picking up some apple bread pudding. One serving came with rum sauce and the other serving came with a caramel sauce. These were pretty good I would most definitely purchase the bread pudding again. The caramel and rum sauce were absolutely delicious.

Local Louisiana creole w/ a daily special. Took care of us and our family. Glenda was nice to talk with as well. We love it!

My in-law and I found this wonderful family gem of a place for some comfort foods. Best places to be. Even though its a small spot, we love every bit of it. Everyone was friendly and the foods are delish. Don't get this pregnant girl started on the cakes and cookies. It was PERFECT. It was just the right amount of sweet. Next time we in town we gotta order the whole cake. Definitely coming back to Ms. Glenda. FYI... Everyday is different but definitely do try to come on Friday for crawfish.

Also deep in the back woods of Beaux Bridge, Glenda's Creole Kitchen is becoming another Acadiana institution. Made famous by her appearance on Anthony Bourdain No Reservations, Glenda is cajun thru and thru. Good food even better people and a great spot to sit and chat with locals. Call ahead and order her signature dish the Stuffed Turkey Wings. I got there too late to get them thus the 3 star rating. The rest of the food is OK but the wings I hear are worth making the track off beaten path.

Thanks so much to Anthony Bourdian and The Travel Channel for finding this place or I would have never taste real Creole cooking. It is a out of the way to get to but it is so worth the drive. I ordered the smothered Pork Steak rice, green beans, and Cajun Potato salad. Love it all but can't believe I'm saying this but the Cajun Potato Salad was the stand out. With a perfect punch of both spicy and sweat from any Potato salad. A step up to what I was brought up with. And need to add their Strawberry Lemonade is so good please don't order sodas here, get their tea, Lemonade, Strawberry Lemonade when eating Glenda's Creole Cajun Cooking. The staff are so friendly and takes the time to explain each daily entree. This is a real cooking and talk about homely, Glenda's doesn't get more homely than here. Good 9/10 Service 10/10

    Lots of meatloaf!

First time here, was on my way from east to west with I10, stopped by the beaux area to gas up & found this place on yelp. I arrived on saturday so I missed the stuffed turkey wings. But the portion of food is huge, I ate til full for lunch and still have enough leftover for dinner. Staffs are very friendly and nice, if you drive thru after 12 or its a bad raining day, they will kindly throw in extra meats for you. Had meatloaf combo (only thing avail on saturday beside the regular all-week stuffs). I know nothing abt creole style or louisiana style food so I'll just give review based on my taste buds. Best corn I've ever had, tasty meatloaf, rice and beans is nice too, just a bit greasy, everything had a decent spicy kick to it. 10$ for combo + a soda, not bad at all, I'll definately stop by next time I'm around to try their cajun dishes.

Yum yum yum and homemade everything is. It's worth coming here for lunch everyday if I didn't live so far...

Really nice little place, quaint and friendly. We came on a Friday and got the smothered okra with shrimp and crabmeat and it was delicious.

Food: 5/5 I looked over the menu and decided to try the Bayou Sampler. Comes with 2PC chicken (your choice dark or white meat or for extra cost can get mixed), red beans & rice, boudin link & biscuit. All had good flavor, except the biscuit, it was ok. Chicken wasn't greasy but moist with flavor. Red beans also very tasty and boudin link just as good. Service: 5/5 The counter server was friendly and so were the cooks, while it did take a while to get my food, it's cooked to order so that's understandable. Once I got my food, I wanted to take a photo and realized that my order was missing the chicken. Thankfully I had not left before checking it (rule of thumb for any to go order, check your food) The counter server was quick to speak to the kitchen and they brought out my full plate in short time.

Every time I fly home, I go to Charlie Ts! Best boudin in the world!…read more I might live in California, but I was born and raised in Breaux Bridge. I've been eating this boudin since I was a kid. The quality and flavor haven't been compromised over the years at all! Each time I come back home, there seems to be another new boudin spot to try, with fancy fillings and a mascot/logo similar to Charlie Ts, but no matter how many I try, Charlie Ts always takes the number one spot! Their formula is just SPOT ON! The service is always great, although I do miss seeing Mr. Charlie in the store. There's nothing like seeing the man who fixed your boudin as a kid still doing the thing he loves! I'm happy for his retirement, but he is forever a part of my childhood! The store is very clean every time I visit, and there's ample parking out front. You will get more options the earlier you go. Trust me, everybody knows Charlie's is the best, so you don't want to wait until the afternoon when there are only a couple boudin balls left. Go early. I personally prefer their classic links and the regular pork boudin balls. The formula is perfect and doesn't really need the bells and whistles, to be honest, but if you prefer a party in your mouth, try the pepperjack cheese or even the spinach and cheese eggroll! They will not disappoint! And I can't forget, their cracklin is the BOMB! If I visit Breaux Bridge and don't bring back some cracklin to my mom in California, she gets cranky! Lol. I also appreciate the frozen options! I was able to fly some frozen boudin home and share with friends who'd never had boudin before. They loved it, and I'm glad I got to introduce them to the BEST :)
