This place was in our www.lifestylevaluepack.com book. We thought we'd give it a try - if it wasn't for our book. We never would have stopped by this place. There is a smoking & non smoking area - we were fine in the non smoking area. We got a fabulous waitress that suggested broccoli as a side and it was awesome! I got the yardbird as my entree on a hogie and yummy! My friend got the Buffalo Chicken wrap and devoured it. No leftovers for us. This place is a true tavern bar with a pool table. Nothing fancy but just a place for great food & cold beer. The owner / manager stopped by and chatted with us as we left. Very nice. We decided we would return! Thank you! Matt was AMAZING !!! however, the blonde bartender was so unbelievably rude to me and the other GIRLS in my group it made the entire experience there so uncomfortable. ( i witnessed her several times being beyond nice to men but to younger girls she was just unbelievably rude.) i tried to be nice to her honestly idk what i did to make her so mad but holy crap i will never go to her for service again and the fact that they have someone willing to treat new customers the way she treated us tonight was c r a z y. 1/10 mad she had to do her job lol. had to go out of my way to ask the server to take over our tab. read more

Stopped here on a road trip while charging our car across the street. Very welcoming and helpful staff and very good food. Definitely a local "upscale" dive bar vibe. Lots of regulars but we were made to feel very comfortable. Will absolutely stop here again when traveling through Knoxville. read more

National Pretzel Day called for some soft pretzels and wings for a meaty delight. Upon arrival, we knew that this would be a takeout-only place for us, as there were people smoking inside. Cigarette smoke just isn't a side dish I'd like with my meal, personally. Customer service was good-very friendly, which is always a major plus! We ordered (to-go): -Honey chipotle wings(12)-spicy and soggy breading. Ample meat which was good quality and well-cooked. Came with small packet of dried out carrots and celery and blue cheese dressing. We would order wings again, but only if dining in. -Pretzels (5) with beer cheese. Cheese tasted like Velveeta with a splash of beer. Congealed quickly and pretzels were overdone, making them pretty chewy and dry. We wouldn't recommend these. I've had several bad experiences there and at this point its my fault. some patrons there tried to scam my autistic best friend and tonight the server got really upset that I only tipped 5$ on my 50$ tab. And the only reason I tipped only 10% was because she made snarky comments to my date. saying "oh your the nicest girl he's ever brought here." Which fyi I never bring dates to this shit hole. she came back to my table and demanded a higher tip or I'll be refused service in the future. she went around the bar telling people my tab was $100 and made men at the bar get combative with me. Such a fun place! We came in from Buffalo to check out a Bills Backer Bar and they did not disappoint. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. The wings were good for being an out of Buffalo bar. We should have asked for them crispy and I think they would have been perfection. They told us that Bills games get crazy and they absolutely love it. I wish we were down for a game to experience the vibe. We will definitely stop in again as it felt like a home away from home. read more

The fact that they have the same staff from the day they opened should say something from the start. The owner is hands on and will make you feel like family. Extremely relaxed and comfortable setting. Fireplace. Couches. Darts. Basketball. Video games. The food is delicious and very well priced. Now for the staff. They will know and remember your name after your first visit. Craft cocktails. Great selection of beers/ales/etc on tap. My favorite are the bourbon craft cocktails from Allie and Meg. (Bartenders). Smoke is very strong. The food is some of the best bar food anywhere. The staff is friendly enough. I don't go here often because of the heavy smokers but I do love their food. Ordered food from here via Bite Squad. I'm guessing they changed cooks or management or both as this is some of the worst food I've ever eaten. I've probably had takeout from here 20 times in the last year. This meal was extremely disappointing. Ordered tenders, hoagie and a burger. Sin #1 - grease used to cook fries was not at the right temp and it was obviously old grease. Sin #2 - The Hoagie was so salty my friend couldn't get just half the sandwich. Came here based on the yelp pictures. I've been waiting to come here for the games - mini golf, pool table, etc. It's very spacious inside and full of entertainment but the smell of smoke is strong. It wasn't our cup of tea but we absolutely loved the live music outside. The crowd was on the older side but the band was great! We joined the group dancing in front of the stage and it was so much fun! If you don't feel like dirty dancing at a club, definitely check this tavern out. I like this place, and West Knox is in desperate need of another sports bar. Like a fool I went in on a game day 15 minutes before kick-off, so the place was packed. It's a decent size room and has a lodge like feel. I think it was formerly a place to buy ski equipment. Anyway, there are two patios one is pretty large and has a TV facing the main parking lot. The other patio is smaller and that's where I was tthe first half of my night. Apparently, some Florida State fans reserved the patio, it's TV, and corn hole section for a FSU football game, so I had to relocate in the bar. I didn't know Knox had a die hard FSU fan base, but whatever. My beef wiith this place is that it's 21 and up all day to allow smokling inside. I'm just really over smoker's bars, but if that's your thing there are lots of cig and cigar smokers inside. The size keeps this place from being a total smoke pit, so if you are a non-smoker it's bearable. Some nights there's live music and it's loud, so you may also be angling for your table to be farther away (or closer???) to the speakers. So I got food delivered from bite squad. I got a variety of things as this was first time eating from them and makes me decide if I want to try a place again. I got their fries, onion rings, mushrooms. Chicken sandwich , traditional burger. Plain wings and cajun wings. Mushrooms good and not soggy. The sauce it comes with was tasty but too spicy. I like spicy food, but this wasn't flavor after a few dips. Onion rings good ..very well done imo. The fries are seasoned style and seem unique and on reheat still tasted the same. Amazing considering fries suck if they aren't fresh. Another plus. Tenders are nice and big, good flavor. The burger was great. A good thickness ..the flavor was what I want from a burger, just backyard bbq flavor and that's the best imo. Chicken sandwich is huge. So happy. It was the grilled chicken sandwich. Yellow and didnt taste even seasoned. Good size wings though. The cajun wings or what they labeled as special dry rub. They had good flavor. First off this was weird in how they did wings. They bread them and then season. Usually wings are plain flash fried and either sauced or has dry rub added after or on them pre frying them. So not a go to imo. Also they provided sauces and do not come as described. A honey chipotle? Sauce tasted like spicy ketchup and then they also gave a buffalo sauce that seemed creamy and maybe mild..idk after a few dips..I threw the sauces away. I'll order again from them. But now I'll not go to the wings as they don't do them the way I'd want. read more

This place is an absolute joke of an establishment. My friends and I are taking an RV down from PA to Auburn and decided to stop in Knoxville for a break. After driving 8 long hours, we finally found a place open to serve us food and drinks. Upon arrival, we were greeted nicely by the bouncer and he asked his manager to check our ID's with them being out of state, very understandable. To our surprise, the manager comes back and denies us entry claiming our ID's are fake. Showing them every sort of proof that we could, we were still not allowed to come in and eat and drink. This manager clearly has no idea what he's doing and shouldn't have a job. would highly recommend going elsewhere to experience some really southern hospitality and employees that have common sense. I love BucketHead and have for years since it was opened. I used to live less than a mile away and my boyfriend and I would frequent quite often for dinner, drinks, football games, and even take out. After we moved a little further away, we haven't been for a visit in about a year. SO.... I was completely and utterly disappointed to find out that you all took your fried chicken sandwich off the menu!!! What??? That was my favorite item on the menu and quite possibly the best fried chicken sandwich around the area! I know I am not the only one to share this thought. Why remove such a good item? Smoking establishment (pro if you are smoker). Really nice patio. Cons: Parking is strange and lacking. It looks like it's packed, then when you go in, there is hardly anyone there. There is extra parking in the nearby businesses. Smoking establishment (con if you are not a smoker). You may have to send some fried foods back as they tend to be overcooked.
