This is a chain out of Lexington, the California Cobb salad is my favorite, my wife likes the JB's Boneless Bites, the food is great. The ambience is chain typical, music on a TV usually rock but occasionally country. The service was excellent, my main beef are the beer prices, $9 for a 16 oz Stella Artois is ridiculous. read more

First, we are not complainers usually and we tip well. BUT today took the proverbial cake if you will. We had 4 in our party as we usually do every 8 weeks; group of friends. We have been to Drake's many times and it is usually great. BUT today 1 of the 4 orders was all wrong and took it back to correct, quickly. Well after the other 3 of us finished eating they finally brought the correct order; no explanation! Then we had 2 to go orders and of course the same persons to go order was burnt!!! In my opinion; my friend's entire meal should have been free!!!! BUT no this didn't happen!!!! Instead she was charged $25 for food that took an hour to get to the table!!! drake's is a chill spot close to the west town mall. they have a lot of draft beer to choose from and simple american food. i ordered the cobb salad with salmon, no bacon, and ranch. the creamy vinaigrette was not very good in my opinion, but the ranch was decent. my partner got the fish tacos sans the peppers & onions (i personally think this is absolutely insane to put on a fish taco. and part of the fixin's is tartar sauce ) we also got some fries, and they were good. the plate of fries just looked a little sad the service was chill. our server's name was dawson, and they were nice and attentive but not in an annoying way. if you're in the area leaving the mall and in the mood for a beer, or wanna catch a game.. definitely pop-in! bon appétit read more

The food every time I go to drakes is good. The salads are fresh they have great wings,burgers and sushi is also surprisingly fresh for a place that is more America in cuisine. The service is also always very good and quick the building is large and has space does not feel to loud as you would expect for its open appearance. Drinks were forgotten a vodka soda, a tower of blue moon, and two patron shots. Worst service I've ever received. I really enjoy the environment here. The fact that Drake's is open until midnight (especially early in the week when everything else closes by 8-10pm, automatically makes me appreciate this place!) The drink selection is great! Service has always been attentive, accurate, and positive! Food has been hit or miss so far...the choices are mostly bar food and sushi. I personally don't care for the sushi. It doesn't seem as 'fresh' as it should be and so far we've only liked 3 out of 5 rolls that we've tried. I ordered a burger once and I didn't care for it, but this time I ordered the 3 mini cheese burgers with tater tots and they were delicious! They had a very thin meat patty and the burgers themselves were small, similar to Krystal or White Castle burgers, but the flavor was great! You can add extra meat to make it a double or even a triple patty if you want, but I enjoyed them the way they were! Definitely recommend coming here for some late night drinks and bar food! read more

At the recommendation of a friend, we tried Drake's on a Wednesday evening, and although I was initially dubious about a burger and sushi joint, we were definitely not disappointed. We seated ourselves, which allowed us to pick a table close to the fireplace on a chilly night. The service was remarkably quick, preventing my children from getting hangry--huge bonus points for that. Everything we ordered was declared delicious, and I love that they take classics and give them a twist--grilled cheese and shrimp? Sounds terrible to me, but apparently it's genius. I stuck to the black bean and avocado burger, and the sauce and slaw took it to the next level. The prices are about what you would expect these days for what I call pub fare, but I did find $11.99 for three pretzel rods and cheese dip a tad steep. That was also the only thing we ordered that was good but not good enough to order again. My only complaint (and it's really not even a complaint) is that you have to remove the huge, heavy organizer from the middle of the table if you want to see the person across from you. Shorter menus would solve that problem easily, or you could just be sure to sit across from someone you'd rather avoid. read more

Best burger I've tried in Knoxville so far. I love the thin patties and the bun is a sweeter bun. It's so good! I get the all American almost every time. Their drake's sauce is also delicious. I've tried their sushi and while it's not the best sushi ever, it is pretty good. Fries are crinkle cut and also really good, just wish the portion of fries was a bit bigger. My boyfriend got the club which I had a bite of and it as also just as good as the burger. Lots of meat and very flavorful. Got there around 9:30 and was assured the kitchen wouldn't close till 11. The food is typical bar food, EXCEPT they also had sushi, which was a nice twist. I had an app (buffalo chicken dip) and a sushi roll. Also the bar has an extensive amount of draft beer and other drinks. The sushi was surprisingly good-- my wife is Japanese so I've had my fair share of sushi and this was good enough that I'd be willing to take her there to try it! The dip was tasty and their were plenty of chips to go with it. Lastly- both beers I got were on special prices that night, so that helped my review decision! I think having the wide availability of food choices up to a fairly late point fora weekday was a big, big selling point for me. read more

Best club in town. Drakes has great burgers but my favorite thing on the menu is the club sandwich. Huge sandwich and really good fries for $14.99. They give you ketchup and honey mustard with it but I always order a side of drakes sauce too. This is a great place to watch a game and have a beer as well. Service is always good! read more

Drake's is reliably good and has a laid back, relaxing vibe. They're doing a great job with masking, as well as checking temperatures as patrons enter the restaurant. There's a good bit of outdoor seating, but even the inside feels very open with the garage type doors that pull up and allow plenty of air inside. Most everything I've had here has been good. My favorite is the chicken chop salad. I've also had good burgers and other sandwiches here. There's a nice variety of beer available, and there are tons of TV's. Told the bar tender there was something really wrong with the unmarked random bottle on the counter that had soy sauce in it, and was told my Taste was the problem. Also was told by bar tender she didn't eat sushi, so she didn't know what it , Soy sauce, is supposed to taste like. Teriyaki chicken bowl was decent, but the sushi was a big miss. Dynamite roll looked nothing like photo, and tasted horrible. One star for leaving unfinished meal primarily due to taste, and sour service. read more
