This was a super fun place to grab lunch with our kids. They enjoyed the playing the arcade games and even got to play some Pac-Man directly on the table tops. The burgers were pretty good and although very salty, the tater tots, cheese curds and waffle fries were all good. As a bonus there was lots of quirky and creepy decor to promote the upcoming CreepyCon. That just added to the interesting atmosphere. We were happy to find this unique place as a departure from our typical lunch spot.

EXPLOSION of nostalgia coming at ya! Most of my childhood was in the 90's, so this place really feels like home. My husband and I arrived a few minutes before Wednesday night trivia (every Wed. at 7 pm) and were greeted immediately. The place was packed and lively. We sat at the bar, used a QR code to look at the drink menu on our phones, started a tab for the super creative and fun drinks, and soaked in the ambiance. Most of the drinks are quirky, colorful, and fun. Someone next to me had one that released "smoke" and my Revenge of the Nerds was coated in Nerds candy. I was initially impressed by the "action-like" video games on the TV's in front of us until I looked around and saw people were actually playing video games on them from nearby tables. SO cool. It looked like anyone can come in, grab a drink and a game controller and have at it. Huge amount of board games near tables inside the door, accompanied by the many pinball and arcade games littered across the room makes for a very fun outing for all. Trivia was fun. A tad slow-paced, but still fun and challenging. They hand out the answer booklets before they begin and then get rolling with several different rounds with differing themes. Out of 14 teams, my husband and I finished 6th, but I think we could have rocked this game with a larger group. Who's coming with us next time? ;-)

    Old school arcade games.

We had a great night out at Token. The location is convenient and there is plenty of parking. It was fairly busy because it was a weekend night but there were available tables and plenty of games open. We stood at a bar height table and a friendly server greeted us immediately and had our drink order to us quickly. They have a fun drink menu with non-alcoholic options, too. We ordered our drinks and a roll of coins to play the games. Oh the nostalgia! The old school arcade games and pinball machines are reminiscent of fun times growing up at the arcade (minus the adult beverages.) Unfortunately, not all the games were working but that's understandable because they are vintage machines. We didn't get any food because we came to play and have a drink. But we saw lots of people eating and everything looked amazing. There are also lots of board games to choose from as well as console games with tvs on the wall showing the action. This was a fun, easy date night and we look forward to having a night out here again.

This is a great local game centric bar/restaurant. The place is lined with pinball machines, classic arcade games, and several free modern game systems like PS4. We enjoyed Pac-Man, tekken, TMNT, and many other favorites. Bartender was friendly and eager to accommodate our group of 15 for the birthday we were there to celebrate. We were never without service- he did a great job. The food was pretty good too, reasonable prices and nice variety. My wife and I got the balsamic chicken sandwich with loaded wedges. Very tasty and would order again. The bar is loaded with all kinds of different nostalgic mixers etc. Cereal shots, and nonalcoholic mock-tails and a creative menu will be fun to decide on. Pretty decent beer list and they have 4 beers on draft. If you have an afternoon then you'll enjoy this gamer haven.

This was my first time here with my husband and my sister. After seeing another yelper recommend this place, I knew we had to check it out! This is a place for all ages to come and have fun with video games, arcade style games and board games of all kinds. The drinks are so fun and on theme with candy rims, fun colors and interesting flavor combinations. The waitress we had was so kind and gave some really great suggestions! She also said the the owner of this establishment also owns the Space bar and Bit burger that are also in the same strip. While your tab doesn't cross over to the Space bar, you can order food from the Bit Burger and it will be delivered to your table at the game tavern so that was pretty cool to know! I tried the rainbow road drink which was very light and refreshing while my sister got the espresso martini. She also enjoyed her drink and said it was flavorful with the espresso and liquor without being overpowering. We shared the pretzel bites with queso and mustard. The pretzel bites were very soft and warm--all the things you look for in a pretzel; the queso was very good as a dipping sauce but let me warn you about the mustard--don't dip too much because it's not your usual French's mustard, it's got a kick to it! We also shared the pizza bites which were also very good and the portions were perfect sharing sizes. My husband ordered a double cheeseburger and sweet potato fries from Bit Burger. No surprise they were also delicious! While we were only there for about an hour, we could have stayed longer playing games and making a night of it. We had a great experience all around and are looking forward to coming back!

Last night we stopped in for a later bite and quick drink. They were just finishing up what seemed to be a VERY fun trivia night (Bob's Burgers themed). Trivia happens every Wednesday at 7pm. Our server was even dressed for the occassion. If I remember correctly, her name was Amber and she was a complete joy. She was so kind and helpful with a little bit so sass. She could have sat right down and joined our table! I loved the game tavern theming and thought they had an great selection of food and drinks. We enjoyed seeing the lego head beer buckets! There were people of all ages. I believe its 21 and up after a certain time, but kids are welcome earlier in the day/evening. I can definitely see coming here and hanging out for a while and playing games, or just catching up with friends. I wish I had gone sooner. They share some kitchen space with Bit Burger, just down the sidewalk. Its definitely worth a visit there as well. Atmosphere : 5 out of 5 Food: 4 out of 5 Service: 5 out of 5

Absolutey perfect. After spending all day in the car our kids needed a break. Token game tavern was absolutely perfect. Parents and kids alike had a blast! The games alone deserve a 5 star review but the food just really sealed it!

At midday on a weekday (spring-2026), this warm-feeling comfortable pub was active but not crowded. Of course we had beer-battered fish & chips: tender sweet cod in a not-too-thick crunchy flavorful coating, with fresh greens, onions, and tomatoes. Served with piping-hot thin fries, hand-cut to give a variety of crispier vs. soft bites. You could get that as a small-plate, as a Po'Boy sandwich, or as a main. And we had a bowl of thick rich flavorful creamy chowder. Delicious, satisfying dishes. They had a nice selection of deep crusty savory pies, too. We loved their amazing range of single-malt whiskeys, including some like a smokey softly-fruity Port Askaig that we haven't seen elsewhere. We liked slowly sipping a strongly-peaty young Islay, like 10-year Laphroaig, and Boyd's also had plenty of smoother well-aged pours up and down the price-range. They also had a nice selection of crafts, ales, stouts, ciders, and several Scottish brews. We saw that they have live music almost every evening (not Mondays), with midday music Sat and Sun. Scottish, Irish, bluegrass, old-time, classic country, and more! Next time we have to fit that into our schedule. And fútball (soccer) of course! Boyd's Jig & Reel is a must-visit in the middle of Knoxville!

Our pup travels everywhere with us, so finding these spots is important to us. It was very spacious too - so we weren't on top of other guests. For lunch, we got the deviled eggs to start - something that is a go-to for us. They were solid and enjoyable. For the main, we opted for the Abridged burger and the Chicken club. Both were solid as well. Fries were crispy, but a bit over-salted, and I enjoy some salt. So made a note for next time to "go light". Service was good too. Overall - really only a tiny detail to 'complain' about, but easily taken care of next time. We will be back for sure - I want to try their pizza!

They get busy fast, and they won't seat your party until everyone has arrived, so make sure your whole group is there. We had a party of five and started with an order of the fried pickles to share. For drinks, I ordered the Darryl Strawberry since it featured bourbon, and I figured I had to enjoy a bourbon cocktail while in Tennessee. It was surprisingly refreshing, balanced, and so good that I ordered a second one. For my meal, I went with the Classic Bacon Burger, and it was exactly what I was hoping for. After last night I'm not sure if we will ever return. We were seated outside at a table that was right in front of the in and out doors. We waited almost 15 minutes before someone came to wait on this. Honestly this would have been longer if my husband hadn't gone in to ask about a server for our table. Mind you, there were plenty of servers walking to help the other tables around us as we were waiting. Finally a server walked up, her name started with an A, and she was very flippant with helping us. I ordered a beer and my husband ordered water and son ordered a soda. We also went on and ordered since we had no idea when she would return for our order. She brought the water and soda but no beer and then we didn't see her (at our table) until our food came out. My beer came out with the food, a good 10 minutes after I ordered it. I know you may be thinking that the bar was backed up but her other table (that arrived after) got their drinks right away and also a 2nd order of drinks before I received my beer. She never came to check on us with our food and spent more time at the table that arrived with her friends. Her attitude and personality was vastly different with our table versus her friend's table. When it came time to get us our check. I saw her roll her eyes and walked towards us. I let it slide instead of calling her out on her actions as I just wanted to leave. We paid our check and left. I truly feel like this will be our last time here because of the service we received. We have many friends who travel to Knoxville for various sporting events (since I'm in that industry) and I always recommend Stock and Barrel.
