First of all, I worked for Buckeye and saw how they faced challenges. One of the most divisive was…read morethe loss of channel 11 for a period of time. People were angry and wouldn't listen to the reason it was done. It turns out, a company was buying up local stations so they would have more bargaining power to drive up the cost of their feeds. This might seem like a small thing but what you don't know is it would have automatically pushed up the rates of every other provider of media (espn, abc, etc).* The company bit the bullet and told the consolidator to fly a kite. No one appreciated the companies loyalty to their customers. Buckeye's prices were high, just like all cable providers. The business is a lot like gas stations during the 70s. The gas providers set the price but the gas station took the brunt of the ill will. Buckeye was able to lower their price by dropping the set top box. TV is not the same but they had to do something. Same goes with outsourcing support to the Philippines. Costs had to be cut. Buckeye's big differentiator is service. They are able to repond quickly because they are local. Buckeye was a good place to work. They treated their employees with respect and they paid a competitive wage. I made lots of friends while working there.

The people answering the calls now do not understand what you are asking or don't want to. I worked at Buckeye for 20 years and we knew our products, how to answer questions, how to resolve issues and the customer did not have to repeat the problem 4 times and still not have a resolution. I just don't understand how things have come to this. There are a lot of people in Toledo that need jobs but Buckeye is giving them away.

You first have to go through a computer AI support (terrible) before you can get to a human, which is based overseas. They struggled to understand me making me repeat myself multiple times. There response time and handling of service requests is also terrible. I was recently having work done on the outside of my house and the wire was accidentally cut. I had to wait 6 days to get someone out to repair it. I wasn't happy but it was my fault but luckily the contractor was able to splice it so I still had Internet. They came out, "fixed" it and left. An hour later, the internet still had not come back up so I called. I was told I'd have to wait another 6 days before they could come back out and try again. IMO the service tech should not have left until confirming it was working that failing they should have made me a priority since it was their failure. I understand employee shortages but their are methods of putting schedules together to bake in time for high priority calls. Needless to say I found another provider that was able to squeeze me in 2 days later.

That my home # is my caller I.D and 1 of them out of the 5 told me his employee number as my caller I.D. . Slap them silly and call me crazy! The other you wanna know how that went? Well one put me on hold for 45 mins. The other she did know 89% of what she was talking about but after we parted ways it all went South. Nothing she told me to do was on my tv. No channel 9900, also the new updated direct equipment doesn't have the caller I.D app Honestly these are overseas call centers or they are here on a visa Work program. What's not acceptable is they get paid for not being trained and putting us on hold until we hang up. They know wtf they are doing. Does the company?

I agree with the other review. Is there a way to give them negative stars? I have never had Wi-Fi…read moreat the house but I figured I would give it a shot to try to increase my internet speed when I'm at home. Over the course of 10 months and having it personally installed and paying for that installation, I've had to reset the router at least 20 times. I've called customer service at least a dozen times because the Wi-Fi just goes out whenever it feels like. So what's the purpose of having the Wi-Fi if I end up having to use the hotspot on my phone? Then of course after 6 months the price goes from the intro rate of $50 to $100 a month and it seems like the internet just goes that much slower at that point. I don't use the internet a whole bunch. I may watch a movie occasionally and I had a fire stick on a second TV in the bedroom. Maybe check my email. Nothing ridiculous and I was not able to get good service. So after 9 months I discontinue my service and took my modem up here to the Buckeye office. When I discontinued my service you would think they would have told me where to take it but no. They tacked on the modem to my final bill. When I called customer service they were not helpful at all on telling me a location to return it. When I went to this location the customer service representatives were nice but so are the people at the car dealerships. They did let me know that I had received an older modem and that's probably why I was having so many issues. But as I told him over the dozen phone calls and 24 resets no one told me this and why would they give me a old modem when I'm opening up new service. No way. I called the Verizon help center and my insurance DOES cover hardware issues out of my control, and what do you know there is no deductible to pay. Also the men I spoke with at this store should all be wearing their masks FULLY and not just covering their mouths. The men I talked to kept removing their mask in front of me. When it quit working 20 months later, another salesman said it read "used" in the system. Recently, a quote was not honored and even the manager defended the salesman by saying "You signed a contract." Don't assume that what you are told is the bottom line. Double-check for additional charges. My flip phone was disconnected but when I would not pay an add on fee, they said they couldn't reverse the disconnection. I left without a working phone. Also, THE STORE IN LEVIS COMMONS IS NOT A VERIZON store. The $536 phone that did not last even two years could not be traded in at another VERIZON store because they said this store is a third party company that uses Verizon service. Don't be deceived.
