My F150 died on me yesterday, driving north on Lapeer Rd in Oxford, MI. I called Buckhorn at 3:45PM, the dispatcher warned me they were busy, and it might be a 2hr wait for a truck. In just short of an hour I got a call from the driver (Steve) and he was with me in about 10 minutes. Steve explained the process to me, he loaded my vehicle onto the wrecker, and he took it (and me) to Skalnek Ford in Lake Orion. Steve was very professional and courteous to me at all times, and very focused on safety and procedure. I am very happy with the service provided, and the cost was very reasonable ($95 seems like a value to me). read more

He tried a to start it also but we could not figure out what the fix was. I was going to have it towed back to Royal Oak. Absolute crooks! Towed our car from Downtown Lake Orion during the Jubilee on a Saturday. Would not allow us to come pick up the car until Monday. Stated they were closed until Monday. Closed, but still could tow us? That caused 3 days of fees over $300. Not to mention they were rather rude and unconcerned over the phone. Do not do business with them. I've lived in area for over 30 years and these guys have always been professional and friendly. They have handled my daily drivers and my Corvettes with white gloves. I seen a few poor reviews on here and my first assumption is that when their car breaks down they are having a bad day and are coming in with an attitude to start with and tried taking it out on the driver and the company. read more

I had the worst experience ever with Buckhorn service. If you're ever in need of towing run away from this company as fast as you can. I've had to use them two times because of my insurance company and both times I waited more than three hours. I would call and get some lame response saying they were on the way but in fact they were never coming. One time they even canceled my service and informed me that they informedMy insurance company to reroute my service. When I called my insurance company this had never happened. This is the worst managed company ever. When I called back to ask about my service the girl literally hung up on me and told me she didn't care. There was a big dog barking when I called the dispatcher and that was during office hours, not during the evening. Tow operator was very polite and professional. We've been using Buckhorn for our towing for years. They have picked me up at 3am on the side of the road on New Years day, out of parking lots during rush hour, and from our driveway. They do get very busy, and it can take a while for them to come, but they have always done a good job and do honest work. I highly reccomed that you use any tow company besides buckhorn. this company is so corrupt my tire blew out when I was driving so all I did was call buckhorn and ask for a tow instead I got buckhorn there and they then called the police which ended up writing me a ticket for impeding traffic.Lol I was in the middle of nowhere on a dirt road clearly buckhorn has a corrupt deal with Oakland county sheriff . Unless you want the police to show up and write you a ticket before your vehicle is towed.What a joke I hope people catch onto your scam buckhorn your pathetic. read more

Terrible customer service. When I called after waiting 1.5 hours for service for a flat tire, and explained that I didn't want my young daughter to wait too much longer alone in the vehicle (it was below freezing wind chill and I didn't know how much gas she had) the woman told me "She can put the heat on - it won't hurt the flat tire. There's nothing we can do - we are swamped today." What they could have done is given an accurate estimate when we first called, so we could have chosen a different company. read more
