In town working this week. Stopped in for dinner based on recommendations from our client. Not a fancy place but family friendly. It is a simple bar and grill with arcade, live music, trivia nights. Smoke free. Nice crowd on a Thursday night. Every table had reservations for later for trivia night. Popular place! Staff was great. Patrons were nice too. Lots of folks chatting, socializing. Felt like "Cheers" with that vibe of regulars. Good food. Above what would normally be bar food. They make much of their own bread. More than enough to eat. I had the chicken tender bowl over fresh cut fries with the Cajun honey garlic sauce. Wife had the meatballs in marinara with the awesome garlic bread. Look forward to coming back this spring. Don't be put off by the outside appearance of the "Glades Pike Tavern" aka Buckhorn Tavern. Big menu, tasty food, excellent service, top-notch live music by Crawdad Joe. They performed the BEST rendition of "Ain't No Sunshine" I've ever heard in my life. It's warm, friendly and full of happy locals and out-of-towners like ourselves. I'm from out of town, visiting family for the holiday...this place is really good. Best food I've had in the area in the 3 days I've been here. I had the wings (hot & lemon pepper). They were crispy fried and the sauce/rub was delicious. We also had a cheeze pizza. The pizza was really, really, good. Sauce was delicious and perfect amount of cheese to make it stretch out as you went from pan to plate. I'd have Barstool Pizza do a review, for those that know, one bite...it was good. The gouda Mac-n-cheese, my 11 year old had went back for seconds. My wife had the grain bowl (Israeli couscous) with Salmon. Again, delicious. Due to COVID, this place has taken a little change in path from what I understand, moving more to restaurant scene than bar scene so do not hesitate to bring in the family...not that you should anyway but just saying. Finally, the draft beer was nice and cold and complimented my wings and pizza perfectly. Definitely a place to go to...or go back to. read more

Found this place on Yelp. Too early for dinner but wanted a snack and drink. Great tavern. Immaculate. Quick service. Reasonable variety on draft. Icey glasses. Had garlic bread with marinara sauce. It was actual sliced Italian bread, crispy and good. Took salmon sandwiches as take out. Really good. At first we weren't sure because it's in a strip mall. Don't let that stop you. read more

Love this place!!! The people who work there are fantastic, and the bar owners have done an incredible job on the food and drink menus! Great entertainment throughout the week! Pool tables and darts in the upstairs bar. Most folks aren't even aware of the downstairs bar; pool tables, ping pong table, air hockey and a fully stocked bar so you don't have to keep running back upstairs! Food is always great, bands and dj's are awesome! What more can you ask? Go find out for yourself! read more

Went here once. There was a fight in the parking lot between two super drunk girls. Also the bartenders are super unattentive. We were trying to wave one down for 10 minutes and they avoided us like we had COVID-19. read more

The awesome pizzas , strombolis , calzones , salads , and sandwiches that you used to get at Frank's pizza on the diamond in Somerset are now here at Keil's Tavern. Although there is still a pizzaria there on the diamond called Frank's it dosen't have the great food. The great food has moved here ! This is my favorite pizza ever .. the sauce is great :o) It has been my family's favorite for over a decade. I have lived in Europe and been to Italy ... I am telling this place is better ! Local bar. Food ( hot Italian sub) was probably the best I've ever had. Bartender/waitress was friendly, food was ready quickly. Beer was cold. Now for the bad: this is a smoking allowed establishment. I sat under a wall unit air conditioner so it wasn't too bad, but nearly everyone at the bar was smoking at one time or another. I love a good pub scene, but what surprised me was that the majority of the patrons here were occupying the bar, but not a single diner. They really don't know what they're missing. The staff was very helpful in describing and recommending the menu items, and the food choices were all ideal for what should be included in a decent tavern. Was there the night of Sept 24. We went with our 2 friends. We ordered an app for the bar as well as a pizza to go because we had to pick our kid up. We assumed getting takeout would be quixker than dining in. WRONG! There were 10 ppl at the bar total and nobody had food. We cashed out with a card by 920 and said we were leaving as soon as the pizza was done cuz we had to get our kid at 930. Our friends sandwich and wings come out. Five minutes after they get their food, at 930 the bartender comes out and says "he didnt start your pizza yet. Sorry he's by himself." 40 minutes later and hasn't started our food??? NO EXCUSE. I've worked as a bartender AND cook, alone, by myself, serviced a dozen ppl food and drink with no help. Never have they ever waited 40 minutes for food. But this would've been an entire hour. Unbelievable!! I worked all day and didnt eat i had to wait till I got home to make something else to eat after spending all that freaking money. Definitely ovwrtipped seeing as we left over 20% We didn't wanna have to wait around for another 20 minutes trying to get a refund on food so our friends took the pizza with them but we still should've got some sort of compensation. But no offer was made. We are sorry we spent our money there. We will be sure to share this experience with everyone we know and will never step foot in the facility again. read more

I tried to use my iPad here but the bartender told me I had to buy a drink before I could obtain the WiFi password. I asked for a warm pint of buttermilk, which they had. It was very room temperature (I guess that's their specialty ) anyways the WiFi password was WiFi. Very tricky. Some patron pointed out a good deal on a Chevrolet Cavalier in the Auto Trader magazine, I acted like I was knowledgeable and said "I would definitely trade my Lumina for that beauty" Everyone seemed kinda depressed and smelled like a coal miners ass. I bought everyone a round of buttermilk and that seemed to lighten the mood. Some old timer told me a story about an Ice Cream shop that use to be close by called "The Meadows " and how he use to live on waffle cones and aquatic creatures that he caught in Coxes Creek. Being from out of town I found the whole experience to be comforting, in a I've given up on life kinda way. read more
