Finally tried brunch here, and it was delicious. The eggs Benedict were perfect with good home style potatoes. What was really surprising is the side fruit that can with it was really good and fresh. My waitress was very friendly. It's a bit dark inside on a sunny day, but warm with wood and brick inside . Long old bar that belongs at the turn of the 20th century. What I really like is that there is absolutely No TV. Nothing to distract from a good meal with small group of friends or someone special. Very warm, relaxed, and inviting. If your looking for a trendy sports pub or ale house to get rowdy with friends this may not be what your looking for, if you looking for an enjoyable meal with good conversation than this is for you. read more

Buck's is an Everett institution at this point. Smaller, intimate space. I always love the vibe of an old Everett building with exposed brick and this place does just that. I have gone here for dinner several times including a birthday celebration. For my birthday, they actually had flowers for me on the table to take home. What a special touch. Sizzling steak is my favorite entree, just be careful because it will splatter on you and it does sting a little. Always cooked to perfection. Just got back from great lunch with my family. My wife had called ahead to reserve a table since we were a party of five so we were seated quickly our water was served fast also we had an awesome server didn't get her name dang it. We placed our order, my wife Nancy chose the tenderloin skewers, granddaughter and her friend ordered the cheese ravioli while my daughter and I went with the panko crusted cod. After placing our order I let the waitress know that my wife was on her lunch break and if they could expedite our order which she was able to do. Our meal arrived and everyone finished their meal except my wife which is pretty normal " the salad fills me up" but she did have a couple of bites of the tenderloin which was a little spicy for her but she got it to go for lunch later in the week. Granddaughter and her friend cleaned their plates of raviolis so I m thinking it was good. Now the cod was hot on the outside with a moist flaky meat along with house made tartar sauce it was delicious my daughter enjoyed hers too. I have eaten here at least 6 times for lunch and someday will venture out with my wife for dinner and try a steak or the pot roast. Comfortable ambiance, delicious food and attentive service! Even the men's room is cool with its original early 1900s decor and trough urinal! From the fish and chips (either cod or halibut) to the black and blue salad, (my favorite) everything I have tried at Buck's has been exceptional quality and served with a friendly smile. The building appears to be an old bank as there is a large safe next to the beautiful bar. There is a certain cozy lodge feel with mounted wildlife on the walls. Disappointing.. We have been going to bucks for the past 20 years and always enjoyed our dinners and service. This past year we have gone back several times for lunch and dinner but unfortunately it has gotten worse over the year with service and food. We sat watching our server for 15 minutes after being seated just walk around, check her phone, chat with the bar ect before going and getting her. The food is no longer enjoyable, not very flavorful or thought put into making the dishes. Bread costs money (which I understand) but is terrible, very dry and not fresh. I'm really hoping the new owner has intention to work with the cook and servers on better menu, taste and service. It's a great place but needs to do better. read more

On a sunny, summer, Friday afternoon, we (and another couple) went to Buck's to check it out - just catching the tail end of their happy hour pricing on drinks and appetizers. First of all, we loved the atmosphere. The old, brick building with updated facade is all that is wonderful about Everett! They had a few tables on the sidewalk out in front of the restaurant and we sat outside and enjoyed the weather. The wine selection was good as was the beer offerings. Their bread and special butter (what was in that?!??!) was really good. We had the coconut prawns (very good) and the hot artichoke dip (the dip was great, but the bread rounds they used with it were so-so). We had the macadamia-crusted cod which was really delicious along with a caesar salad (which was just fine); although I was disappointed that Buck's didn't have anchovies for their caesars... Our friends had the Prime rib (they said it was good, but not great) along with a cobb salad (just fine). Props to our waiter (Mike). He was very busy that evening but managed to get to our table with the perfect cadence to reload our drinks and check on us. We will be back for sure. Great atmosphere; good food; good service... The place has a nice atmosphere but they added $3.24 more to the bill after I left. I had one beer and left a tip to round up my bill to $10.00. I checked my statement at the end of the month and they billed me $13.24. Two girls were working, they ripped me off. My husband and I ate here for the first time last night and we will be back! The ambiance was just what we like, we were greeted right away with a smile and our server was friendly, prompt, conversational, and all-around great! We loved the food. My husband had the bacon wrapped meatloaf (highly recommend) and I had salmon (seasoned well and flaky). Four of us had dinner at Buck's last night, and it was a great experience. The server (Maura) was very attentive, the setting comfortable, and the food was very good. Two in our group had the Black & Blue salad and another had the meatloaf special. I had the Spring Smoked Halibut, which was absolutely delicious! It is by far the best restaurant meal I've had in ages - kudos to the chef! All of us enjoyed our meal. We found a place (Bucks) close to the hospital and got an order for him. It just so happened that they had some left from their special the night before. As we picked up the order the owner heard about our Dad an gave it to us to just take. The generosity and and kindness was over the top and greatly appreciated. there are so few decent breakfast places in south everett. what a surprise to hear Buck's served sunday breakfast. this is definitely a well-kept secret for local/regular customers, yet the restaurant is pretty much full every sunday i have had breakfast. biscuit and gravy: very good! the gravy was fresh and not tightened up. the add-on sunnyside up eggs were perfect. the whole shebang: it's a scramble. sausage, mushrooms, spinach, cheese and the rest of the shebang. fresh, tender moist eggs. eggs benedict: as expected. that is a good thing. fresh hollandaise sauce. service may be a tad bit slow, but the food is freshly cooked and delivered hot to the table. price is very competitive and in some cases very reasonable. street parking is easy-peasy on sundays. sunday breakfast is highly recommended read more

It doesn't get any better than this place. We stopped in here on a whim after a doctors appointment for lunch and we were not disappointed. I had the best chicken Parmesan I've ever had. It came highly recommended from the server because they make everything from scratch from the breading of the chicken to the sauce that goes on the pasta. He was not joking because it was fresh and flavorful. My wife got a burger which she also loved. The entire staff was knowledgeable and friendly. On top of that the service was immaculate. I even left my credit card at the restaurant accidentally and the Brian (manager I believe) was kind enough to send it to me since we were out of towners. UNBELIEVABLE!!! Needless to say their service goes above and beyond what is expected of a business. I was not expecting a five-star dining experience from a small café like this and I will be sure to make this a regular stop when I'm in Everett. Do not miss this place. read more

We had been wanting to try Buck's for a while and finally got to go and it was a good experience. The restaurant is super cool and I love the charm of the old building. But it was super warm. Not a place I could go in the summer if that is how hot it is in the winter. The waitress was nice and attentive and our waters were filled several times - which we always appreciate. After we ordered we saw specials being written on the board - not sure why we were not offered the specials. The bread that came out was delicious. I got the fish and chips. I love that the fish is battered - but it was a bit pale. It could definitely stand to be darker. But it tasted pretty good and it was nice quality halibut. The hubby got the pork osso bucco. It was a bit bland and the sauce should have been tastier since it was described as a rich demi-glace. But after he added salt and pepper it was ok. We shared a slice of the famous peanut butter pie. It is yummy but very sweet. And I wish they had topped it with real whipped cream instead of the canned stuff (a major pet peeve of mine). Overall a pleasant experience and I see why Buck's is so popular. read more

I reserved via Yelp which was super easy. Our table was ready and our server was terrific. Our table of 8 people all very much enjoyed the food and beverages. The street parking is scarce but you can park in back or maybe at the business across the side street which is closed during evening dinner time. We've been very happy every time we've dined at Bucks. My salmon dish was terrific. The scallops meal was raves about as was the seafood salad and fish and chips. read more
