    Chicken bento box
    Sheri H.

Told right after ordering lunch they closed in 30 minutes. Got the chicken bento box which was pretty bare but tasted okay. No ginger or wasabi, no miso, no sauce for the pot stickers. Salad was lettuce only. $17 with tax. 3 tables and really dirty with storage and boxes overflowing into the dining area.

Food (4/5): I've been going to Miami for as long as I can remember and it's been my go to spot for teriyaki whenever I'm in Renton. This visit, I ordered the Monday lunch special, which included chicken Katsu and spicy chicken teriyaki (additional cost for the spice). Unfortunately, both were very dry and bland, and I'm this was a one off situation. This visit would be a 3/5 but in general, it's been great at a 4/5. Service (5/5): I often place phone orders to go and by the time I arrived within 5-10 minutes, our foods always ready and the cashiers have always been friendly. Ambiance (5/5): I almost order to go because the restaurants really small, but it's a cozy local place worth dining in if spots are available. Overall (4/5): as mentioned, the food was very dry and bland this particular visit, which is different from most times I've ordered from here, but its a nostalgic spot I always try to visit whenever I'm in WA and def worth checking out!

    Chicken Teriyaki

Just overall not good teriyaki. Chicken is dry, sauce is thick & grainy and too sweet. The bottom layer of meat has no sauce. No side salad. Even the gyoza are undercooked & came without sauce.

This place is one of my favorite takeout spots in the area. The food and service is always great! The Chicken Teriyaki is juicy and never overcooked. Highly recommended!

Spicy Chicken Teriyaki Chicken and Katsu Combination Lunch special $10.95 Food really good

Amazing food I think one of my new teriyaki places... Price is well, service was good.

    Shoulda got the lunch special

Service was good, prices were good, there was Christian music (spirit 105.3) on, which wasn't bad or anything, just describing the atmosphere. I got a chicken bento box it was 15.50. They didn't have miso soup sadly. The tempura and pot stickers were absolutely delicious, the Teryaki sauce wasn't good though. It tasted kind of gritty? Hard to explain, I really wasn't a fan, but I would come back and try a fried rice dish or maybe yakisoba.

Used to be my go to spot until they started giving less portions . Paid $16-17 and didn't even get full. Great teriyaki just not enough meat in my opinion

Tiny place, solid fast food teriyaki. One of us has the bento box. Lots of chicken teriyaki, 3 gyoza (deep fried), 3 shrimp tempora (crispy but tiny shrimp inside all the coating), fresh side salad), and one scoop of rice. I had the chicken teriyaki which came with two rice scoops and side salad. All were served with extra sauce. Generous servings, food seemed cooked fresh to order.

I like coming here for their bentos. I placed my order via phone and picked it up after 10 to 15 minutes. All of my orders have been accurate. The food is always very good. I especially love their chicken & katsu bento as well as beef bento. I like the fact that their food is not overly salty or overly sweet. I also like the salad that comes with the bento. Overall, this Miako Teriyaki is very convenient for good teriyaki and bento plates.

Not too shabby. I admit that I found out about Miako Teriyaki from watching Fung Brothers. After that episode, I looked up where Miako Teriyaki in Renton was and figured that if I ever was in the Fairwood area, I'd check and see what the buzz was all about. Yet, it fell a tad short. I visited during lunch and took advantage of their daily lunch special, which was spicy chicken teriyaki. This is what I normally get at teriyaki spots. Call it a win. For about 10 bucks, I had a good portion of the spicy chicken teriyaki with white rice and a side salad. It didn't take long for me to get my food, even though this place was busy with takeout orders. The teriyaki wasn't bad, but it wasn't memorable. The spice on the teriyaki was lighter than expected, but surprisingly with all the spicy sauce, the chicken was kind of bland and dry. My favorite kind of teriyaki is when it has that char/cooked flavor to it, if that makes any sense. Though you can clearly hear the cook making the teriyaki on a griddle, the chicken reminded me of when you eat boiled or poached chicken. Hmmm. Again, it wasn't bad, but it's far from my favorite. Fung Bros, you may have had a better experience here and it's cool that you highlighted this small business in Fairwood. But I most likely wouldn't be coming back for when I want my teriyaki fix.

Spicy Chicken and Gyoza Combination straight up fire.

This place is totally okay. Decent food, decent service and very well prepared chicken. Rice was bit on the dry side. California roll was delicious as the rice was still warm and so soft. Easy access, lots of free parking and . We didnt want the salad so we got extra rice. Which is great. One small package of teriyaki sauce, definitely could have used more. Will be back when I want teriyaki and a california roll. If I onky want teriyaki, Panda might be a better choice.

We tried again a week or so later as my work is close by and we wanted something quick and affordable as we had a comedy show to go to afterwards. As we entered, we were the only ones and we were greeted warmly by the sushi chef and our waitress. Our waitress told us to pick any table we'd like and she brought us menus. Once we had ample time to glance over the menu which honestly had the right amount of items, I got the udon and shrimp tempura while my boyfriend got their Philadelphia roll and chicken katsu. Our waitress asked if we were fine with water and I didn't see a drink section on the menu but they do offer fountain drinks, canned drinks and hot tea. The inside is small but it's cozy and initmate. They have K-pop playing in the background with the music video. There is a good mix of natural lighting from the sun and inside. The bathroom was clean and well-maintained. We received our roll and shrimp tempura first, udon next and finally the chicken katsu. The katsu sauce here is one of the best katsu sauce we've ever had as it had a perfect balance of tangy, sweet and savory flavors. There was a lot of katsu and my boyfriend said the only complaint was he wished there was a bit more rice as the ratio was off. I loved my udon, they give a generous portion of fish cakes, fish balls and a piece of shrimp tempura as well as plenty of tempura flakes. I do wish there was a bit more noodles but that was my only real complaint. The shrimp tempura was good but I do wish there was a bit more sauce. My boyfriend's roll was delicious and fresh! Their hot green tea was also comforting and delightful! The service here is pleasant as our waitress was kind and checked in on us often. She was also courteous and professional with other customers. We look forward to coming back whenever we're hungry for good and affordable sushi and Korean food.

The cashier/server is very sweet! She made sure we were satisfied with our sushi and kept coming back to check in on us. The place is cute inside, it was actually very roomy, has a lot of natural light and they had some K-pop videos playing in the background. The restaurant is tucked away near the closed down Old Country Buffett in Kent East Hill. I really should've tried coming here instead of traveling to Renton for some sushi! But I will definitely return for more of their delicious sushi!!! I would definitely give them a try if you're in the area.

Besides, family was coming in at SeaTac and we recently moved back to the Renton/Kent/Tukwila area so with the use of GPS, they'd be able to find the restaurant. We met together at the same time. The restaurant has changed considerably. Previously the menu included Korean dishes, but with new management, Korean fare was removed from the menu, much to our surprise. The Kalbi/Bulgogi was excellent and we would order a Bento-style box meal which included the Korean specialties. Though somewhat disappointed, the new menu provided so many new sushi choices, we were distracted from the missing preparations. The Sushi/Sashimi platter was our first order, to give us more time to peruse the great looking menu. Our initial order arrived which appeared so enticing with the fresh (raw) portions of buttery salmon, tuna, Ahi, Nigiri and a California Roll. Excellent! Then came the Sweet Dreams & Sounder rolls and Ikura (2-pieces) and a Special Agent roll. Least I forget to mention Asahi bottled beer (regular & non-alcoholic) to round off the meal. Due to not having the Korean ingredients, only four stars this time. The ambiance of the restaurant seems to have changed over the years. There were perhaps 10-12 other diners whereas during our previous visits the restaurant would be crowded and bustling with a cacophony of voices discussing menu choices. It was 5:00PM on a Saturday evening and crowds were usually expected. Service was excellent, the waiter was patient and provided lots of information about the new ownership & menu. The sashimi was fresh & tasty and sushi rolls were expertly prepared. Sushi Today continues to be highly recommended if you're in the Renton area.

Service was great at first, though they didnt check in if we wanted to order more (we had gotten a few small plates to start but when we wanted more we couldnt find anyone and no one checked in). But towards closing they were pretty pushy about us finishing up and leaving (and verbally told us so) which I'm not used to experiencing (we weren't the only ones that were there late and hadnt been there too long).. and I'm not usually at restaurants til close (this was just a long overdue catchup) so it was kind of irritating that they were so pushy about it. We had gotten off work late and made plans but couldn't find many places open late, so we had to make do with the times available (everything pretty much closed by 830 or 9p), so it was a really rushed dinner and felt like that when they rushed us midway to hurry up. Otherwise, other than some rolls seeming a tad expensive, they were pretty good. Some were better than others, we tried about four of them. The fave dish though was the ika geso (fried squid) appetizer, the sauce was bomb. Would come back.
