Friends and I tried out this location as the St Albert one was fully booked. I imagine the downtown location is packed on nights when there are events at Roger's. It is a really large restaurant compared to St Albert, and is very modern, trendy and warm. I loved the big booths in the bar area. Our service was friendly and attentive. Our food was also out very quickly. We all ordered a variety of dishes which included pizzas, salad, the short rib entree and desserts. Absolutely every dish was well presented, tasted delicious and was executed wonderfully. I wouldn't hesitate to return. Especially on an event evening! Parking is free as well in the Epcor Tower when you dine at Buco.

I was at EPCOR Tower for training and decided to order takeout downstairs at the Buco Pizzeria. I ordered a small pizza, which came with a salad. I requested it be ready for 12:15pm and they were on point. Bagged, with enough cutlery inside. No complaints. The pizza was a decent size and the dough was so fluffy and fresh. Flavour was really good as well with garlic aoli. The salad was average for a Cesar salad. The ambience inside seemed pretty tasteful and classy for the short period I glanced inside. Hint: order online for takeout, and use promo "pizza" and get 20% off!!! Only works when you sign up with a new email. You're welcome!!

My friends and I made reservations to go here this past Friday night. They sat us in the lounge. There was an Oil Kings game that night, so it wasn't too busy. The decor and ambience was cool. We knew to expect good food and service since it was part of the Sorrentino's chain. The food was good. Plating was beautiful. But all of that didn't make it worth coming there for dinner based on the service we had. Our server Isabelle was abruptly rude to our table of 7. Anytime we asked for more water, extra sauce or napkins, there was a very obvious push back. She would say, "sure". But her body language and facial expression showed us she didn't want to do it. The entire night's service was absolutely appalling. I asked another server to get our own server's name, and she was also rude and chose to point to our server instead. When she cleared our food from the appetizers, she took a bundle of knives and forks and just plopped it on the table! Who does this? Great service is when they individually reset our table setting for each of us to get another knife and fork. She didn't bother pouring the water for each person either. My recommendation- never go to this location with the service they provide. Last time I had this bad of a service was at Hundred downtown and they're shut down now. The food was good here, don't get me wrong. You can tell Sorrentino's keeps up a level of standard when it comes to quality of food with their sister restaurants. But, if you don't get the same level of hospitality in their servers, the food isn't worth exploring.

We came here before the Symphony and made reservations. It was a Saturday night so we thought we would need resos but honestly it wasn't that busy so yeah we were the only people there. We started out with the three different bruschette! My favourite was the whipped ricotta but the other two don't really taste any different tbh. We also tried the goat cheese cauliflower bites which were really yummy - those came in a big portion and I liked that! Then we had the Vegetariana Pizza and it was good! By the time we finished our food we were stuffed. The service was good but I mean how could it not be? We were the only ones there. We had the feudi di san gregorio bottle of wine it was delicious. I would be down to return here! It was decent! The menu looks like it has some other things to try!

Buco is an amazing restaurant with good quality food, and portions. Dishes were presented very well. Our server, Katelyn, was unbelievably kind and very accommodating to what we wanted. Very comfortable atmosphere. Great to take friends and/or family here. We had a birthday celebration so they made a dessert with a sparkler, and it was so lovely and thoughtful. 11/10

Again, great food. I was here in one of only two places for Edmonton Downtown Dining Week, because due to the virus many places were either closed, or discouraged to order to stay in. I liked that there was a selection of choices for Edmonton Downtown Dining week, rather than one take it or leave it item. I chose the Cheesy Garlic Shrimp - organic greens, balsamic drizzle and the Pan-Seared Salmon - roasted potato, grilled vegetables, white wine lemon butter sauce. My friend chose a pizza (not on the dining week menu) and their tiramisu. Okay, these shrimp were probably one of the best ones I have had in a long time. Perfectly cooked in reach cheese sauce so delicious. And my salmon was perfectly cooked as well and the grilled vegetables and potatoes were a great base for the wine lemon butter sauce. I am impressed by their skill in cooking seafood. My friend liked her pizza and she loved the tiramisu. I snuck a few bites and indeed it was delicious. Way to go.

Can you buy a second time pre-concert and this place did not disappoint! It's also amazing to see the owner of Sorrentino's group, Carmello Rago, still keeping an eye on things at the new place making sure everything's going great. We are a couple appetizers and had some wine, and the service was awesome. We ordered the meatballs which were just amazing! I tried these at a cocktail party earlier in the month and they were again impressive. The wine list here is also really interesting. We went with the Zenato, Valpolicella Ripasso, which was superb. Great spot for a pre concert bite in the lounge.

Dolce Piccante pizza - coworker said two thumbs up. It's really good.

We ordered 5 dishes and 2 desserts for 4 people and every dish was a winner. Anchovy toast w pickled lemon sat atop a crunchy toast. The taste profile was perfect. I could have eaten a full plate! Next was carpaccio w hazelnuts and pickled butternut squash and pea shoots. So good we had two plates. Buratta w beets and blood orange was creamy and delicious on chewy bread. Miso cod was cooked well - still fork tender and moist on bok choy w pickles to give a kick. The desserts were wonderful - sorbet was berry w sage and candied almonds. The other was lime meringue served in a cute bowl. Creamy and w crunchy crust. They also had a wine of the day and a good selection of alcohol-free drinks. Try the alcohol free sangria. Yummy. Definitely a place to impress your date or spouse or friends. Just be comfortable w sharing. :) technically, they have the miso cod and steak that could serve as a traditional entree and just order a few apps to start for a more traditional meal if that's your fancy.

Good menu that has enough choices but not too many so you are not overwhelmed. We chose the oysters which were fresh and lovely with the taste of the sea when you are in landlocked Alberta. The dill mignonette with it brought out the brightness of the Oyster. The broccoli Caesar was amazing and I now need to order this every time when I go. It was green and rich and full of flavour. We also ordered the tagliatelle with short ribs. The meat was hearty, however I felt that the pasta lacked flavour. Service was good. I will be back here for the oysters and the salad for sure!

She came often to check on us and make suggestions for wine and food pairings. Food was fantastic. Most people in the city are familiar with Sabor, Edmonton's legendary Spanish and Portuguese restaurant. But have you ever wished that there was a more casual, more low-key version of Sabor? Maybe with multiple conveniently located spots around town? Well you're in luck because that's exactly what Bodega is! You'll find Bodega's flagship restaurant in the lower street level part of Sabor itself, however there are now five other locations. It's almost a guarantee that there is a Bodega near you, no matter where you are. People have loved this place for years. Voted as #1 Best Tapas 2018, #1 Best Spanish 2018, and #1 Best Wine Bar 2018 in VUE Weekly. CBC Edmonton's Best Restaurants 2019 listed them as Best of Downtown. And you'll find them as a Favourite Communal (Sharing) spot on the Edmonton Food Faves We Crave 2022 list. It turns out that the people of Edmonton love a laid-back tapas moment and getting some sangria into the mix doesn't hurt either. I was excited to visit Bodega's original location in the heart of Downtown on a Saturday evening and to finally experience their flavours. The first thing to note about the OG Bodega restaurant is that they don't take reservations, however all of the other ones do. As previously mentioned, you will find the flagship location right inside of Sabor. Parking can sometimes be tricky in this area and that's the only downside. If you've been to Sabor before you already know how impressive the space is. The huge building is one of those places that doesn't need to pretend to be old because it actually is. Instead of heading up the stairs into Sabor's dining space, Bodega is found to the left of the entrance in the lower street-facing area. It's actually a wonderful use of space which otherwise might not have served much of a purpose. Less dressed up and grand than Sabor (but still bearing a similar decor), Bodega harnesses the Spanish modern-day watering hole vibe by featuring a simple but beautiful bar area and bistro-style al fresco dining in the warmer months. The dining space is small and because there are no reservations taken it might be necessary to prepare for a wait. When my group arrived it took about 15 minutes to be seated which seemed entirely reasonable. We were pleased to be situated at a beautiful little table outdoors, in the warm summer breeze. Unfortunately, there were a lot of bugs flying around that kept landing on our table and we had to ask to be moved to one of the more interior tables. Thankfully the staff was able to accommodate this! We really didn't want the bugs to land in our food. The servers who visited our table were all extraordinarily friendly and gracious. Of course there were going to be drinks! The wine list is plentiful and extensive. However, I was more drawn to the interesting Iberico gin & tonics, caipirinhas, sangria, and the signature cocktails. These are the types of drinks that I picture myself holding on a patio in the summer. From the cocktail list, the De Puta Madre (Mezcal, dry Sherry, pineapple, lemon, orgeat, cocoa powder - $16) sounded like the most special one to me. Out of curiosity, I put the name of this drink into a Spanish to English translator and had a pretty good laugh when I learned that it means Fucking Awesome. Well. Sounds like I made the correct beverage choice! And I really did enjoy sipping on this perfectly crafted cocktail. I was slightly worried that the mezcal would be very strong and boozy, but the balance of the ingredients was lovely. I felt that I was able to taste and appreciate the flavour of the mezcal without it being too overpowering. The fruity and sweet flavours from the pineapple, lemon, and almond syrup made the drink fun, but again it wasn't too sweet either. I loved this cocktail and it paired perfectly with the rest of the meal. The food menu is packed full of options and every single thing sounds enticing. The good news is that the plates are small and part of the experience is to order a lot of them. There's a whole long list of tapas, but also breads, spreads, charcutaria, and cheese if you are in the mood to create an exciting board (I always am!). There are also some larger plates if you are truly looking for one big meal of food. On this visit I was aiming to remain in the tapas realm since that is what this restaurant is actually all about. As such, we proceeded to barrage our server with a long list of items, eager to sample as many dishes as reasonably possible. We were asked if we would prefer to have every dish all at once, but opted for a slow and staggered method. No need to hurry though! It wasn't long before our parade of plates began to arrive. First was the Brushchetta (Grape tomato and fromage blanc - $14.00). I wouldn't have chosen this dish on my own accord but I saw it pass by on its way to a different table and it caught my eye. The tomatoes looked
