My stove went out on a rental house that I have in Chapel Hill a few months ago and I gave Bud Matthew's Service a call. A gentleman named Paul came out and was amazing with his knowledge of the old appliance. Fixed it very quickly and was super nice and friendly. Now my side by side refrigerator in the same house went on the fritz and I called Bud Matthew's Service again. As luck would have it, Paul showed up again, had the fridge apart in minutes, told me what was wrong & got it working (coils had to thaw first) while he ordered the part for permanent repair. Long time Chapel Hill resident. Have done business with Bud Matthews for years for my home and rental properties and always a satisfied outcome. If there has been a question about service or billing, Bud is always available. Sears dishwasher problem this time. Scheduled time for the technician to show up between 9am and 10am. The technician, Terry, was early. Great news for me as I wanted to get on with my day. He displayed a very professional manner and I had confidence in him immediately. In Bud Matthew's response to the first complaint against them on the Better Business Bureau website, it was stated by Bud, "we have an A+ rating with the BBB". Bud Matthews IS NOT BBB accredited. BBB gives all companies that are not accredited an A+ rating, even if the company is a dismal failure and deserves an F rating. If you look on the Bud Matthews website, at the bottom of the home page, you will see a picture that says BBB Rating A+. Again Bud IS NOT BBB accredited. You may want to stay away from any company that deceives potential customer this way. read more

Bud Matthews service is outstanding. We use them for our appliances, hot water heater and now use them for our heating and air conditioning maintenance. Terry, their technician for heating & air was very thorough, attentive and polite. All of Bud Matthews' technician's are thorough and polite. They arrive on time and get the work done in an efficient manner. Every technician not only fixes our problem but offers advice on how to keep problems from happening in the future. One word....PROFESSIONAL! Michelle on the phone was awesome. The service technician, Terry, did a great job explaining the problem we had with the dryer. He was able to fix it with parts that were on the truck. I had no problems scheduling the appointment. I was handling the issue for my parents in Chapel Hill so I was driving from Raleigh. Great guys! I had a dead refrigerator this morning and really didn't want buy a new one. Called Bud Matthews and set an appointment for this afternoon. The tech (Terry) called before driving out & had me do a really simple test. Bingo! Over the phone diagnosis with no service visit or charges. Terry ordered the part & will install when it arrives. Many places would have racked up a preliminary service visit & then another one to install the part. Certainly saved me some money. read more

My experience with completely positive when I called for help with a dishwasher problem. The Sears repair person had left me with more problems than I started with. I got an appointment right away. The repairman, Terry, showed up a few minutes early even, diagnosed the problem and fixed it in a wink, also saving me from needing more electrical parts. Everyone was polite and efficient. I was very impressed! The technician arrived on time and went right to work. He worked quickly and fixed the clogged drains quickly. I was especially pleased that he cleaned up EVERYTHING! Amazing service! Our water heater broke and Matt and Rosa + their team came out within hours and replaced our tank with a tankless unit. They worked all day plus after hours to get the new unit in.
