I've been trying to get my Newfie in for a grooming since the Covid outbreak. He was already scarred for life by a major pet grooming shop and wouldn't even get out of the car to go inside that place. On top of that I tried to call mobile grooming companies and they all said no do to size or they don't have enough trucks. I did a yelp message to Boogie Time and got a response right away and I was lucky enough they had a cancellation for space to get my dog groomed the same day! I know it was a mission to clean and shave my Newfie but they were up for the job. When I entered the business I was greeted right away and the lady at the front was very nice. She showed me around and the daycare/ play area looked clean and open. I talked with the groomer and She was very nice as well. Instead of putting my dog in the kennel. He was allowed to walk around freely. They were so nice to him like he was part of there family. His shave looked great and he was happy when I picked him up. He acts traumatized when he gets home from grooming usually but this time he was happy and his usual self! I'll definitely be back for grooming and will use their daycare as well. I could not be more pleased with the service me and my dog received today! I made an appointment last minute to have my dog groomed, came in and they discussed all my concerns with me. Not only did they care about my concerns but they took the time to make my dog comfortable. I've previously gone to PetSmart and was told my dog would not be welcome back because she nipped a groomer. When I came to pick her up they said she was wonderful and had no issues of any kind! She's happy and so beautiful clean! I can't wait to bring her back and might even bring her in for a play date. read more

Response to owner 5/4/22 First off, my dog is 170#s and you knew that the first time he was there...you didn't have trouble then. You greedily wanted another $180...but this time you left 1 young girl to bathe him. There is no communication with your staff: they never know where you are or if they can book an appt! Calls were NOT returned, I always called there again. My advice, do one service well...not multiple services poorly. I do NOT want your mobile service... My issue is not even the not doing his bath, BUT HE SAT THERE FOR 3 HOURS BEFORE ANYONE CALLED ME. He was panting and stressed out. Yes, you care a lot about dogs, when it's convenient for you. I wouldn't recommend you to ANYONE. My first visit was for grooming for one of my little dogs. Everything went well and I was satisfied, although prices are higher than average. I have since taken my 200 lb arthritic Mastiff there for bathing. The first time, the owner groomed him herself, with the help of a male helper. My dog is 10 and can't stand for very long, making grooming difficult. They charged me $180, but he was beautiful. I had another appt for today (not easy to make btw, because calls take forever to be returned...i had to call back.) Dropped my boy off at noon. I gave him an extra pain pill. At 3 pm -- 3 hours layer, they called to tell me they couldn't give him a bath because the groomer couldn't get him in the walk in tub! THEY LET HIM SIT THERE 3 HOURS BEFORE CALLING ME! I was livid. They tried selling me on mobile grooming...no way. I don't trust them anymore. I WOULD NEVER TAKE ANOTHER ANIMAL THERE. The problem is obviously communication. The owner doesn't manage her staff. I had had this appt for 2 weeks: she knows my dog and that a young girl cannot groom him by herself. My poor dog is so stressed out right now from sitting on a cold, hard floor for 3 hours. Never again. Go there to adopt a rescue, never for grooming or boarding...I wouldn't trust them. They offer too many services without fully training or staffing for them. Do one thing and do it well. I came across buddies when I was visiting Las Vegas for the weekend. I needed a place to board my dog so I chose buddies. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful! The facility was very clean and newly remodeled. Really liked the energy there. I also loved that they sent me constant updates on how my dog was doing! Traveled to vegas with my wife for a weekend away. the hotel didn't allow dogs and we were traveling with our baby Locks. the staff at buddies was so amazing and kind! they took care of him, sent constant updates and made us feel at ease. oh and we almost missed our flight. thank god they're only 5 minutes from the airport. we'll definitely be back at buddies whenever we're in vegas. read more

I was booked for an appointment the next day. I came back for my appointment with my dog only to be rejected because I didn't have my dogs shot records in hand. Dropped our family dog off for grooming with Sandy 12/6/21. My husband brought him to the car and we immediately noticed that he was in distress. Upon further investigation., we realized he was not able to open his eyes and when we opened them they were blood red . Upon pickup , no one even told us us that our dog had an injury like we weren't going to notice the dogs eyes . We immediately returned to speak with sandy and she tried to tell us that his eyes were not like that on her table, which is a complete lie as I wouldn't take my dog to a groomer when he can't even open his eyes . I asked if maybe they sprayed something near his eyes and she told me no . I had to rush my dog to the vet and pay an emergency fee for them to tell me he sustained an ulcer in both eyes caused by trauma to his eyes . It's one thing if she would have been honest about him getting injured and letting me know right away but she tried to deny any wrongdoing. I have taken my dog here for over a year and I will never come back . It's so disheartening to see your dog in pain and I will never put my dog though this again. read more

I took my dog there the first time and I was thrilled with the work although I thought they were overpricedpriced. Second time we went there sounds alot like several other reviews I've read. The groomer from the first time was no longer there (formerly introduced as an owner which is now funny because there seem to be different "owners" everytime you to in). So they took my dog in and were going to do a introduction day so I could use my promised 7 days of free day care. When I came to pick my little guy up, it didn't look like they did much of anything grooming (a puppy cut was requested). When I complained about it all they had to say is we will use a different groomer next time. The the full bill was charged despite having given me a coupon for 35% off. I was told they couldn't find the posting. So a while later, I decided I'd give them one more chance and called to book a free play day. I was told that that offer expired. A comment was made about next time, as if I would do a next time. Just a final note for thought. My little guys nails scratched my leg so decided I best clean them up with the grinder, found that only one of his paws had ben clipped, three not. I you dare to risk you beloved family member to these people, think twice. I wouldn't trust them to wash my car let alone my dog. The one star, thats whats left of the original five the first visit, but I have a pretty good idea why the former "owner"/groomer left....to maintain her reputation, conscience, and dignity. read more

This is only place I have ever seen that allows the dogs and cats to roam free. When you check your pets in, they evaluate them first to determine if they can coexist with the staff and the other pets. Frequently, the store would send me texts with pictures and videos of the freedom that my pets have. They bathed my dog which was a really big deal for me. My dog is not typically too friendly with other dogs, but when I returned to pick her up, it was clear that Boogie Time had a positive impact on my dog's behavior. The staff really cares for the animals. They keep them entertained, clean, and wishing that they could stay forever. An animal paradise for dogs and cats. Don't drop your animals off at a vet for boarding where they are caged behind metal bars. Take them to boogie time. Your heart and your mind will be at ease. read more

Please don't bring your dog here... my dog stayed here for 6 days as we vacationed out of town. The check-in experience was clumsy as there were 7+ dogs running about the lobby. My dog isn't fond of smaller dogs so I had to wait while the one person working rounded up all of the dogs. I made sure to explain during the drop off brief that she doesn't play well with smaller dogs. I was assured that they would provide individual play and that I would receive daily updates. Fast forward 6 days... I arrived at the doggie Motel to pickup and they again had several dogs in the lobby. They went in the back and grabbed my dog to return her to me amongst the community of dogs. I asked for them to remove the other dogs and I was told that she did fine earlier with the dogs... essentially they went against my wishes and associated my dog with all other dogs. My dog also smells terrible and I'll be taking her to get groomed again. If you're looking for an up class experience, please avoid this place. read more

I found this place doing a story on Mayte for Sensi Magazine. It was supposed to be a short small business highlight but after the interview we loved Boogie Time so much we made it a feature story. I used many daycares for my dog in the past and never had I ever seen such amazing treatment and care of the animals as Boogie time. Boogie Time staff plays with Dany when she is there for daycare, so she loves them! I'm a photographer with a home studio and Dany is my rescue baby that has a lot of energy. It's so convenient to drop her off there and come get her after my shoots. She's excited when I drop her off and can't wait to get on the floor and play. The staff there loves her so much they named her Declaw Dany... I'm hooked and will be using them exclusively for Danys daycare and boarding! I highly recommend dog owners who treat their dogs like family and spoil their pets will absolutely love Boogie Time because that's how they treat their fur baby guests. read more

I've taken my baby here only twice and most likely not returning after what I witnessed on my last visit. Went with them since they have good ratings and close enough to my house. The store front looks cute and once you enter, there's a fence to make sure no dog goes running out the door for safety. First visit was great! The groomer that only works on wednesdays treated my girl like a princess and her cut was adorable. When I returned a month later to schedule a groom with the same lady on a Wednesday, I was disappointed that she was not there. The shop was a horrible mess as well. There was dog pee on every corner of the shop. This is not an exaggeration. There were about 5 dogs running loose, playing around, which is not a problem, but the really young attendant at the front desk could not care any less to clean up after them. I have a long haired Maltese and I didn't want to put her down since she will get pee all over her and Since I stepped all over the dog pee that was everywhere on the floor, the couch, the front desk and chair, I had to clean my car mats at the end of the day since it smelled. The groomers are nice and they do a good job, but the staff can do better keeping the place clean. I can't imagine what the boarding room looks like where the rest of the dogs were if the front was like that. Sanitation and cleanliness should be a priority for a dog boarding facility. read more

Boogie Time took care of our family dog Cody for an extended sleepover while we were away. I was completely impressed with the thoroughness and kindness of the staff and how clean they keep the space. They also have a great selection of specialty merchandise and some CBD products. Cody is a senior dog that requires regular medicine and special care. It gave us great comfort to know that his needs were taken care of and that they gave him plenty attention and playtime. Plus they bathed him before we arrived to pick him up. It should be noted that the owners of Boogie Time are true animal lovers and they rescue dogs in the same space. Drove all the way down here for my dog grooming. We are new customers who wanted to support a local business . We are here waiting for 45 minutes!!!!!! The sweet girl in front had to call the groomer to remind her that she have any women that was at 10 AM. Remind you it's now 10:40 am and the groomer said she was on her way, and it was gonna be another 20 minutes. What the heck. I asked her why she was late and why she didn't call to let us know or change the appointment time and she told me that it was because the groomer had a mobile grooming business, which is not a good answer for me. I find is completely irresponsible and just rude and a waste of time for me and my dog. If you're not gonna make the appointment, just let us know this is a horrible first impression. It is now 11:36 AM and I still receive no phone call from the groomer letting me know anything. Zero accountability zero responsibility and I'm just completely annoyed by this whole experience. This is the best boarding and grooming place I've ever seen. The owners and employees treat our fur babies like they're family. Also, the groomer is the only one I've found who can get the gunk and discoloration out of my blonde pomapoo's eyes and face as well as have my bulldog glistening white. Went in here for grooming for my two boys. They are both 60lbs dogs, one being a pitbull basset, and the other a shepherd rottweiler mix. They were able to schedule me in within a few days, whereas Petsmart was about a week out. They were very conscientious that my boys were about senior age. Their prices were amazing, much more affordable than when I would take them to Petsmart for sure. I love how it has a very homely feel walking in. This rating is in regard to Mayte's Rescue, not boarding/grooming services. As far their rescue company, they answered emails quickly and we set up a meet and greet soon after. After seeing a few pups, my husband and I fell in love with a pup and requested adoption. We were absolutely crushed when they sent an email declining us based on my husband made a comment about "his reaction to 'W' and how he didn't care for his hair" (which after difficult discussion, we decided on another pup). I was so devastated I've been crying for a few days. Both my husband and I have raised pups, have families with dogs (we supervise them and dog proof our house and yard during their visits) and even his family dogs have various hair types that shed. I can see how his comment was interpreted as a condition and they are looking for unconditional love from people adopting. I absolutely understand that they want to make sure that these recued pups and dogs are going to loving families who are prepared, can keep them safe and give them lots of love. We were prepared to do all that and more. I thought we were qualified given our experience with dogs, precautions we take with our doggie visitors, and extra steps we were willing to take for dog care. But my husband's comment about hair cost us the adoption. Do I still recommend Mayte's Rescue? Yes. They are professional, prompt, and they take good care of these fur babies. I appreciate all the work they do and their powerful message to adopt. I understand that rescue companies aren't going to give their fur babies to just anyone if they don't see a good fit. But after that rejection (and MANY other disappointments like other potentials we wanted but got adopted before we can meet them and no responses from other agencies), I see that the adoption process is way more difficult than I anticipated and it's about picking the best of the best. It's sad to say, after this rejection we're now considering shopping instead of adopting. I can't take another broken heart from having my heart set and being rejected again. If you're still considering adopting, please do and consider Mayte's Rescue. Just know it may be a difficult process but just know it'll be worth it in the end. This place is great! Both my dogs love going there! My little old granny dog is treated so gently. Cant say enough good about this place.

And they refused to give my dog any water the entire time they were watching him when I came in all the other dogs were having playtime, but they had my dog locked up and away. They must not have fed my dog at all whatsoever. They said they did but when my dog got in the car, he went straight for his food eating as much as he can, and then drink water for three minutes straight. I've never seen him drink water like that. It's unbelievable the people that work in the office totally lied to me. They said it would be 40 a day for overnight boarding and after two days of paying for that I would be able to get a bath included And I said but I'm probably gonna want to pick him up early like you know he don't have to stay the night I can come pick them up around seven or 8 o'clock and when I got here they said all we're charging you $80 for two daycare's I said what no way it took him about 20 minutes to figure that out where they only charge me 40 I had to wait there for 20 minutes and then the next day they had agreed that if he if he did the two days boarding at $40 a day that he would get a free bath and I said OK so he got his free bath and she said no because he's not boarding he's not staying overnight we're not gonna give him a bath. The girl that works the front counter with the black hair in the glasses. She is the rudest person I've ever dealt with in my life so cold, rude, just blank and rude like no emotion and rude was her setting, but it's a business that insured and I felt he. I should take my dog there for two days and it was a horrsolutely horrible. I'm horrified that I brought my animal here. read more

I emphasized how important the deshed and brushing was for my husky, over any other treatment, and she looks like she wasn't even really brushed. Still shedding as much as before. I just picked my kids Up from their first visit to Boogie Time! My doggies are my babies and I'm extremely picky with where I choose to leave them. I'm very impressed with my first play day and overnight "sleep over" treatment. They got to play all day with other camp kids and were pampered at night. When I picked them up they were of course all super happy to see me and clean !! The staff was super friendly and handled all my over anxious concerns. ( I'm a super protective mom) I left knowing that they were in great loving caring hands. The staff is very friendly towards my husband and self; more importantly the staff love and take great care of my pets as if they were their own. My pets are not afraid or their tails between their legs when staff approaches them. It's hard to find a great Board or Grooming business that will treat all animals with the respect they deserve.
