I had a power issue in the garage, light wouldn't turn on, garage door opener wouldn't work, hot water heater and water softener had lost power. I called Buddy Heilig & Sons. Brandi checked the schedule and said they could get someone to our house between 1 and 3 that same day and quoted me their hourly rates (up-front and honest pricing) I said ok and that we would see them that afternoon. Later that morning Brandi called back and said that Rico and Frank could be at our house in about 30 minutes (excellent customer service) When they arrived I explained the problem and they went to work. Rico kept me informed as he begain tracking down the problem (these guys know what they are doing and they don't mess around) Within the hour they had the problem diagnosed and fixed. My home distribution panel was a FPE panel, obsolete and dangerous. I needed to add some additional power and expanding the old panel was not the right thing to do, it needed to be replaced. I called Buddy Heilig and they set a time to come out and review my request. Trevor came and discussed my options, made recommendations, then listened to what my future plans were and helped me make the choice I wanted. He provided an estimate and also gave me a realistic time line for the service. Buddy Heilig performed the service as agreed, timely, with quality work. They were easy to communicate with by both phone calls and texts. I was not able to be at home at the time the major service was done, they came out and did the work at my request. I requested a couple GFI (Ground Fault Interrupters) be replaced, I also had a few questions about a pool light that was not working. Technician Rudy was prompt, prepared and wasted no time getting started. In addition to the GFI's Rudy troubleshot the pool light issue and put together a plan to repair it. This was way beyond what I expected from just a routine service call. Not only did Rudy explain what his thought process was while troubleshooting, he focused on minimizing the time and materials required to complete the job. I live in a house built in 1951, so you can imagine what it's been like living with 3 (later 4) outlets in the living room. One of those only worked when the light switch was on. Since I had ordered a new power recliner, I decided to add 2 more outlets on what used to be an outside wall and is now enclosed in the garage and another on an inside wall where there was an outlet on the other side in the kitchen. They had to change the outlet that was already in the garage then run conduit for the new ones. Then they had to break through a brick, block, and plaster wall to install the new outlets. My husband and I hired Buddy Helig and Sons to install a total of 5 high end light fixtures: 2 outdoor ceiling fans, 2 very pricey chandeliers, and reposition another ceiling fan. Rudy came to our home, was prompt and timely, and brought an assistant. I am very particular about things being level, and in the height etc of installation. Rudy listened to me, asked my opinion when appropriate, and took care that everything was operating perfectly, and exactly where I wanted it. I may have written a Yelp review for these electricians that wasn't posted because I wasn't signed up for Yelp so am adding this to be sure. They deserve 10 stars! This is the best electrical service I've ever had --and I'm 82. Their electrician Kris showed up right on time, quickly replaced our defective smoke alarm, got the porch light finally working, replaced a dithering 75 year old outlet that no electrician before could understand and explained why my garbage disposal suddenly wouldn't switch on. Outstandingly intelligent, interesting and easy to talk with! I plan to call this company again for some other improvements I have hope for and a general check -up of the electricity before we list the house in a year or two. read more

Tony changed all the sockets and switches in my 40-year old townhome and was very professional and a pleasure to have working in my home. Kris and Miguel worked in my garage to install a new electrical panel in order that an EV charger could be installed for my new electric vehicle. They also installed the conduit so that my tankless water heater could be installed and, when we could not turn it on, Kris troubleshot and found the problem was the plumber had not set the relays inside the unit to turn on once the electrical was connected. I called because we need an electrical panel replaced. I was scheduled fast and the women who scheduled was very polite and understanding of the situation. I was informed of my appointment with a reminder text. On the day of the appointment I was schedule between 12 and 3. I was called by Billy and asked if he could come earlier. Like I would say no to this. He was very professional and polite. He understood the situation. He listened and was very honest in what was going to have to be done to have this electrical panel replaced. I appreciate when tradesmen are honest. This was the first time we'd used this company; we were so impressed with their service and responsiveness! Our old adobe brick house needed some rewiring, which required some creativity on the part of the electrician. He called another team member to come look at it with him and they came up with a plan, which was implemented a few days later. Pricing was reasonable. This time they went over the top as I had a problem that could have resulted in a home fire. Brandie (sic) made sure that an electrician came to the house the same day that I called. It was Zack and he hinted that she had threatened him with great physical harm if he did not get to us that day. Fortunately he did arrive and found a dimmer switch that smoked when it was turned on. We recently installed a new insinkerator disposer but there was no power to the under-sink wall outlet for the disposer or the dishwasher. George checked everything out and reconnected the appropriate wire in the electric panel outside. More checks to make sure everything was good, and it was. George was friendly, proficient and had us up and running in no time. The cost was very reasonable. This is the second time we have used the services of Buddy Heilig & Sons. Daniel was top-notch. I had such a goofy issue that I still don't understand how he located the problem, but HE DID !! An exterior, after construction addition of a motion light was interfering with ONLY the outlets in two different bathrooms in different parts of the house. How Daniel even knew to look at the motion light wiring baffles me. He had some assistance from another employee via phone, but that only made me more confident in him. I needed my outside light fixture replaced. I first called Mr. Electric, who wanted an outrageous $475. So I called Buddy Heilig and Sons Electric, who charged a flat hourly service charge of 139.99. He discovered that the light/dark sensor on the side of my house was bad and causing the issue. He blocked that, and installed the new light I had bought. Very professional and knowledgeable - I would definitely hire them again for any electrical issue!
