I came in to the O'Reilly Auto Parts on Ballinger Way Northeast this past Friday, 18 July 2025, looking for a new hubcap for my car. The parking lot and store were slightly busy, but a few parking spots were available. After walking the aisles and not spotting hubcaps, I approached the front counter and was warmly greeted by a worker. I asked about hubcaps and she asked what size my tires were. I had taken a few pictures and she looked at them, then offered to take a look at the car. We walked out to my car and they were 15 inch tires. We went back inside the store and she showed me three options they had for hubcaps at that size (two silver and one black and gray). I decided to go with the black and gray ones, which came in a 4-pack. The total with tax was less than $60. On Monday 21 July 2025, I went to install one and found it appeared to be too flat to install on the tire of my car (the plastic of the hubcap pressed against the metal of the wheel/tire such that it impeded the hubcap properly snapping into place). After removing any smudges from the hubcap I attempted to install and putting everything back in the original packaging, I came back to the store this morning (Tuesday 22 July 2025) to see if I could return the item. My inquiry was processed by an alert worker and I was issued a full refund. While the item did not work, my overall shopping experience was excellent. read more

Two very enthusiastic thumbs up! Hub's car died at the gas station next door, and after a quick jump, we headed over here to grab a new battery. Matt was great. He came out to hub's car, checked the battery to make sure that that was indeed the problem, helped us find a replacement, then dropped the new battery in, lickety split. I will avoid this O'Reilly's store as long as Richard works there. Numerous occasions to experience his rude and abrupt manner, directly as well as observing him with other customers. Very rough around the edges with no sense of polish whatsoever. Can't believe that he is still employed there. read more

Stopped into O'Reilly's on Ballinger Way this afternoon. I needed a new brake light bulb for our truck and had no idea how to do it myself. The asst manager was super friendly to the customer before me and rather than let me wait he called the manager out from the back and he was awesome and very helpful by happily installing the bulb and showed me how for future reference. I had the identical experience that Maleaha did today! The banner in the window says "free engine check-light analysis", but the manager told me he was too busy, didn't have enough staff, and told me to go to another O'Reilly store! WTF! I think I'll go back to NAPA... read more

If I could give a negative review I would. I waited for 15 mins while the guy at the front desk chatted it up with some guy,just got him to tell me he wouldn't do a free diagnostic test since he was the only one in the store. There were no other customers in the store or outside so that seems absolutely ridiculous. Horrible customer device under staffed and complete Bs. Don't advertise something you don't intend on following through on. read more

The clerk on duty would not honor shelf price tag of an item I purchased. Shelf tag price was $4.99 and he charged me $8.99 regular price. State law states that retailer must honor shelf price stated and he refused to give me that price. Extremely disappointed in level of customer service. It's not my fault that the sale shelf tags were not taken down in time. I needed the item so I still purchased it (Rain X spray item). Would not recommend ever going here. read more

So, I can't give five stars because this is the third battery in three years. Keep getting duds I guess. However, that being said, the guys working here were great. Tested the old battery, then swapped out the new one for me in the pouring rain. Anybody local could tell you how fun that was. January downpour in Seattle after dark. This has to be one of the most knowledgeable Oreilly stores around. The staff is friendly and helpful. It may not be the biggest store but they can usually get the part pretty quickly. Even if it's hard to find on their system so go over and beyond to find the part. read more

Terrible customer service. I didn't get the worker's name but he was an old crabby man. My husband and I came in with my brother-in-law's car because even after constantly jumping the car, it would just die again. We were able to make it to O'Reilly's and the old crabby man came out to the parking lot and couldn't find a certain thing under the hood to do a test on and told my husband, "I can't hang out here all day, I have a lot full of customers" and just leaves us. As customers, we came there because obviously they know more about cars than we do. We understand they aren't necessarily mechanics but if he was unfamiliar with the car or didn't know what to do he could have said something like, "I'm sorry but I'm not sure how to fix this problem. Let me help these other customers really quick and then I can attempt to figure out what the problem is." Something. ANYTHING but what he said to us. Thankfully another worker, Cristobel, was able to assist us and was so nice and apologetic to us over his co-worker. When my husband and I went inside again, the same crabby old man was in an argument with another customer and had the nerve to tell another customer that the customer he was arguing with was a dick. The store manger Ed, has little to no manager skills, always thinks that every person that comes through the door is a thief. The older man with a beard who's name is Richard is a major hot head and is extremely rude to fellow employees and to customers. When I called looking for a part for my car, Richard answered the phone, and when I told him what I was looking for he rudely said without even bothering to look up the part, "We don't F***ing carry that part!" When I said, "Thank you, and you don't have to be rude about it" I will call another parts store, he said' F*** you too and slammed the phone down on my ear. read more
