It took a while to get the appointment because Gabriella told me they were "single-handedly rebuilding Altadena after the fires" and I can see why. She is the owner, and she personally came to our house for the initial consultation. From the moment she started, she put me at ease. She is professional, detailed, and wants to provide the best recommendation. I didn't know anything about blinds/curtains, but she took her time to explain everything to me. I went into the appointment thinking I needed to swap our existing curtains for blackout curtains, but she told me blackout shades would work since we already had curtains. This indicated to me that she was honest rather than trying to upsell the more expensive product. She also provided helpful recommendations on the color and type of shade that matched the existing shades in the room. In another room we had, we weren't sure if the shades would work, but she provided an excellent solution for the placement that turned out perfectly! Gabriella is amazing. We started our work with Gabriella with a grand room we were trying to keep elegant but inviting and "cool". Her palette was a corner of our Lanai - style living area which had two large La Cantina sliders that the installers did not get right and exposed a difference of an inch or two over the tops of the frame. I came in thinking of a valence and nothing else to cover the 30 feet of glass. What she created was something I could not have imagined. Ceiling to floor draperies in a pattern that worked to be icing on a crudish cake in an otherwise perfect room. Her solution was elegant and turned the window covering from functionality and covering a problem to be an amazing upgrade that exceeded my expectations. The room now looks amazing with everything closed up when its whole point is to be open. she turned an afterthought into a piece of art. Then she tackled a room we wanted to look like our granddaughter's favorite place, mackinac island. Gabriella looked at the wall color and we started going through her thoughts and samples. I learned it is important to look through all of them and again, she came up with a fabric and style that fit perfectly and functioned for blackout in the morning sun. Again, amazing. I could not have seen it without her. Many surprises in remodeling a house are not good ones, hers always are. Our remodel has taken over 2 years and we saved the finishing touches for window coverings and could not have found a more brilliant, meticulous, turn over every stone, type of teammate. Gabriella is very good at helping you pick out blinds, courteous and conscientious of her customers needs and budget. She even made an exception and helped install blinds with her husband and herself to accommodate my sons room especially when are blinds came slowly in three separate shipments from the manufacturer due to Covid. My only concern was the different installers she had that helped assist her. They weren't the same all the time which is fine but at least have them ALL follow company policy and go through customer service training. The last guy who came, Daniel, was not the most personable, came in during covid and first thing when he stepped into our door is almost placed his tool bag on our couch. I caught him and told him he can place on a stool or on ground. Then he proceeded to ask to used our bathroom even before saying hello and introducing himself. I distanced my son and myself from him and remained in the back house. When I came back to check in the progress I caught him sitting on my couch without my permission. I have never had anyone working on services for our house be that annoyingly inconsiderate. As far the blinds themselves, they are nice and installed well. I just had an annoying experience with the actually delivery of the last set of blinds but up till that point it was very good. I would highly recommend Gabriella and Budget Blinds, Pasadena.
