Budget is the worst company to rent from. I left a few crumbs in the car and absolutely no damage and they charged me $450. So they took this opportunity to have a full detail done on the car and gave me the bill. Very poor customer service which is why they can't possibly retain customers. Negative stars not available. The dirty lobby and absent service were the first hint that the 5 week car rental might be a disaster. Scheduled online and told I could add a driver at pickup. Made travel arrangements to pickup the car and they refused to rent without the other driver present. Corporate customer service transferred me back to the rental location. What a nightmare- steer clear of this place! Budget is a franchise operation posing as a large national car rental agency. No customer service - lots of theft. I wish I had the option of zero stars!! The manager Ebrahim is the rudest man I have ever met. I will never use Budget again because others have been writing the same thing for years and they clearly don't care. I made my reservation on Costco, was later than 60 minutes to pick up because of Thanksgiving traffic delays. When I got there he told me he doesn't have my size car available, he gave it away because I was late. I told him we are a family of 5 and need a decent sized car. He immediately told me he would send me to the location 2 miles up the road. I told him I was already late and had a wedding and had to go. He kept telling me they'd pick me up and are only two miles up the road. 25 minutes later they aren't there so I ask him to give me whatever car he has and I'll make multiple trips with my family if needed. I can see he is already pissed at this point. As we are starting the process, Leslie from Montgomery shows up. I apologize to her and tell her I can't go with her because she showed up so late and I have to get to a wedding. She carries on to tell me she told Ebrahim it would be a while before she could come and she told him the car doesn't have gas, she would have to stop. I tell her in front of him that he didn't tell me that, just kept saying she would be right there. She left and we went back to my reservation, he is now charging me $30 more for the cheapest car! I asked him why he wouldn't just honor the reservation I had, and he said because it's a holiday weekend. I stated that isn't fair, and he threw his pen, told me to get out, to try to catch Leslie because he "has no car for me." And that I should try to come back tomorrow, which was thanksgiving... He refused to talk, stood there with his arms crossed refusing to serve me! I took pictures of him standing there with his arms crossed but can't figure out how to add them here. Luckily I ran outside and caught Leslie in the parking lot. In the car I was shaking because of how rudely I was treated. Why? Because my plane was late and there was an accident on 71! I was scheduled to pick up a car from the Hosbrook Rd. Budget location on Christmas Eve to travel for Christmas. A very condescending and rude, to say the VERY least, man called me after 3pm the day before Christmas Eve and said they didn't hold a car for my reservation and I should call corporate. When I asked for an explanation, as they had already charged my credit card, he said "The bottom line is we don't have a car" in a manner that seemed to insinuate, as a woman, it was too much for me to comprehend. When I asked for a name he said "Call corporate" and hung up on me. I won't rent from Budget in the future, I don't believe, and if I ever do it will definitely NOT be this location. read more

I have rented from this location and the same manager since 2008 and I have never had a problem. I abide by the rules and return the car clean and ready to rent. You should always bring back your rental as clean as when you received it. Anything less is just pure laziness and drives the rental costs up. Sometimes I even wax it before returning it but that's just me. I am fortunate to be able to afford to rent a car and lucky that they have one to offer me no matter what the make or model. I don't expect a company or anyone else to bend over backwards to accommodate me. Some people are just spoiled. I have never had a bad experience yet from renting a car. You really have to be having a bad day to complain about a rental car that is basically like new. read more

AWFUL!!!! I received a call from the original Budget location (30 minutes before pickup) stating they had no SUVs available. They asked if I could report to the Kenwood location since they had one on hand. When I arrived, the man behind the counter was rude, unpleasant, and rented me a DIRTY SUV!!! He's the one that drove the car around to me. There was absolutely no way he didn't notice the SUV was FILTHY!!! Rushing to a funeral, I utilized the Lysol wipes and spray I have in my personal SUV and ended up vacuuming the car. During a pandemic you'd think they take cleanliness a bit more serious. On top of that, another customer walked in on the phone with Budget customer service because they weren't even notified ahead of time that their location ran out of vehicles as well. Upon return on Monday, they were closed because of the holiday but I utilized the key drop box. Being that I had issues with being sold a dirty rental, I thought it was a good idea to take a video and pics of me dropping off the key as they appeared to be a janky. Tuesday morning I visited the store just to ensure they received the key and get a receipt. The same rude man ended up charging me for an additional day since they were closed on Monday. I didn't understand this because I turned in the SUV the day prior at 8am, almost 4 days to the minute I rented. Their car sat on their property the entire 24-hours and the key was in their possession (key drop box). I thought this was the point. Ultimately, I reached out to customer service where they refunded the additional day and rightfully so. Needless to say, I will never rent from Budget again. This was horrible and they need to address their team at this location. read more

The owner in the photos is very rude and disrespectful. I don't see how they stay in business when they treat there customers like crap. I see by the other reviews that my experience is the same. I checked in my car and had a question about the final total and he rudely and smart ass like didn't answer my question. I'll NEVER rent from this location again. We usually come here to rent a car for trips, etc. No more. This time when we returned, the car was inspected and the employee accused my partner of having a dog in the car and said he needed to go have it cleaned. My partner explained our dog sheds on us and that maybe ended up in the car, but we would never put our dog in a rental car. At this point the guy starts to argue and continues to accuse my partner of lying to him. This employee needs to understand the difference between pointing out fur in the car and accusing someone of 1) breaking a rule and 2) lying about it. Not going here again. read more

We booked a minivan in October to be picked up Dec 26th. We got a call 15 minutes before pickup and told they didnt have a van for us and couldnt get one. And they refused to give us a different vehicle for the same rate we booked the van. We called customer service and were told they only had full sized 12 passenger vans and they also refused to give us a replacement for the same price we booked. This is extremely unprofessional and we will never ever use budget again. read more

Terrible experience when I reserved a 16 ft truck a week in advance only to be called 1/2 hour before pickup to tell me they only had a 26 foot truck. WTF I have no experience driving a 26 footer. Plus charged for cancelling reservation when I picked up the truck. read more
