Had several issues with the vehicle: tires were low on air and the warning light indicated as such, which the rental employee said "wouldn't be an issue" and happened "since it was cold this morning" (it was in the 60s). Unfortunately, I was driving one-way to a colder climate. The employee instructed that I go take the car to a nearby shop to have the tires filled. The car also had just been to the shop and had a "oil change needed" light on that also needed to be turned off at the shop. Lastly, the car only had 1/8 tank of gas, and the initial receipt indicated 1/2 tank of gas-- was able to get this changed before I drove off, but given all of the other issues with the vehicle, this did not leave a good impression. read more

We rented a budget truck on 8/22, returned it on 8/22 per contract. It took 6 days for them to check the truck back in and invoice us correctly. This facility would not answer the phone for us or for budget customer service! We called customer service at least 10 times this week trying to resolve the issue only to receive a text on 8/27 asking for us to return the truck when it was sitting on their lot!!! I texted and called that guy back...he sent an email to facility and the district manager. Finally today they decided to take care of it! Absolutely horrible service! I will never use this location again!!! read more

If I could I would leave one star. Upon receiving the car no 1 offered to walk around and inspect the outside. When we went out to look at the car we noticed a chip in the windshield the car was covered in dirt and bugs in the inside was filthy. There was even a used napkin in the back seat. With everything going on with COVID especially in the Houston area we expected this car to be cleaner. We ended up having to clean out the car ourselves. If it wasn't for a previously arranged trip we would have asked for money back. read more

We reserved a standard suv for November 4 thru November 9. Pick up time was 3pm. This reservation was through AVIS at this location. We choose our pick up time at a later time of the day to endure our selection. The location is dirty. The three cars waiting in the lot were a standard suv that had a drivers side window that was torn up from the tinting. That was our rental! Thankfully we had an automatic upgrade which turned out to be a filthy dog hair covered mini van. The other choice was a dirty milk stained interior with food and grass tromped through the interior. This is a professional rental facility?? The only person that was at this horrible rental store was a very kind young girl. She was wearing a politically rude T-shirt which was very very unprofessional. We almost walked out. She offered to take the upgrade to the car wash! I thanked her said we were not going to pay for a filthy car and we were shocked at the situation. The car came back with a good outer wash but still quite dirty inside. What is such a joke is Avis brags about their concern about Covid and their clean cars! We had to wait one hour to finally be able to leave on our trip. It was very disappointing to be treated this way by what we thought was a good company. Never again will we rent from Avis. DO NOT waste your time with this facility. We had to wait outside in the heat under an old back drive portico with a dirty dog bed and dog bowls thrown all over the drive and broken debris all over the property because agent was the only one on the property and had to lock us out to take the car in to have it cleaned. If I could do zero I would! This location has changed my mind about renting with Budget next time. We rented a truck for using it for 3 hours, (even though the rental was for one day) the representative told us no worries you can drop it off after closed and leave the keys in the drop off box... (I'll attach the sign in the drop off box showing the misleading fact of its existence... ) when we arrived to leave the truck the gate had a lock, we tried calling customer service but they told us first, that this location did NOT have a drop off option and second that we will be liable if we left the truck parked on the street, that it was better to take it home and return it next day that they would totally understand the dispute of the extra miles/gas for bringing the truck. Long story short... guess what? Next day, not only they wanted to charge for the extra 20 miles, but an extra day and late fees, they even run the card we left as a security deposit without authorization they said we should've parked the car outside the gate and left the keys "we do it all the time". This is how a $45 dollar deal ended up in $120 plus the "great" energy, hours of conversations and bad moods. read more

Reserved a truck one month in advance. Showed up on the day of the rental and they had no trucks in stock. There was no explanation or apology, just a girl sitting behind the counter saying they don't have a truck in stock today. I am now running around the area trying to find someplace that has a truck in stock and will be stuck paying whatever rate they charge. I will never use this Budget location again!! read more

If I could give no stars I would. I booked a rental online and prepaid for the rate received. The rate ended up doubling when I got there because the location I booked at redirected me to this location in Tomball. We were never informed there was a rate change. Staff gave us the key and told us to click the fob to see which car it was and to walk around and to let them know if there's any damage. They never left the office. The rental was no clean and was filthy inside and out. (We took to the car wash immediately after renting). We returned the car a day early (no refund for this). Since retuning we have been charged 3 different times and have now paid more than triple the rate we originally booked for. I've called Budget and they have no explanation except I just need to wait and see if the charges drop off my account. No reason as to way they continue to charge. I've reported the charges to my bank as fraudulent now since Budget continues to say they don't know why I keep getting more charges. read more

Beware! My car was in bad shape when I picked it up. They told me take it or leave it. Unfortunately I took it because of a time crunch. I have had the absolute worst experience EVER with this location. They have lied time after time and refuse to answer their phone or make things right! I had a reservation at 9am and my car was not delivered until 9:40! The driver told me that he was not even informed about the car until 9:15.. 15 mins after I was supposed to have it!! To top things off... I was told from customer service that this location did not do after hours drop off. When I was there picking my vehicle up, there are signs with drop off instructions and a drop box. BRANDY explained that yes they do have after hours drop off and I could certainly drop it off Sunday evening. She even gave me detailed instructions on how to do this! Low and behold, when I did as I was told to do, the gates were locked and I was not able to leave the vehicle. I tried calling customer service and was on hold over 20 minutes.
