Perfect place to stay if you need a basic, clean place to rest your head. I found this place a bit pricey for what you get, but had no other complaints. The check-in process was quick and friendly, our room was clean and the bed was quite comfy. Despite facing busy Milton Road and being on the ground floor, it was a quiet motel. Our room had a refrigerator and a microwave, which I always appreciate. There is a shopping centre just a 5 min walk away where there is a Safeway and a Starbucks. One of the better deals in Flagstaff. Only about a mile from downtown. Clean rooms, comfy beds. Microwave and refrigerator in room, which is always important to us with a young child (milk and snacks a must). Otherwise, just the basics which is all we really need. Business appears to be family owned/operated and they are very friendly. No pets. Some noise from car wash next door, but not significant. Clean room, nice shower, and comfortable beds. Its an older building with some walls that are like concrete cinder block. This seems to help keep it quiet. However there are only a few electrical outlets in the room . I love that there is a strong exhaust fan in the bathroom. I don't understand why there are so many hotel bathrooms with no ventilation. They get mold in the whole room. But this Budget Inn has very good venting. There are no extras: no hair dryer, no in room coffee maker, no iron. There is a nice mini fridge and microwave and they both work well. The ac/heater worked well, and was quiet. The front office staff was not especially warm or welcoming, but they if they have things organized, I don't care about the rest anyway. read more

OK -- hotels in Flagstaff were on the expensive side, so this was a decent value. It is very old, but well-maintained. It was cool seeing the hotel manager for check-in, and then it looked like his Dad at check-out -- nice to see a family affair. Good hot shower in the morning that could maintain a steady temperature, and rooms had a (pretty beat) fridge, microwave and free wifi that worked. It seemed a little over-rated and looks kind of sketch (the TripAdvisor and Yelp ratings are way too high). I was traveling from Sedona to Page and needed a place to stay. Got a two queen bedroom for $63 total on a Thursday night via Priceline. Location was super convenient because there were plenty of restaurants and gas stations all around (D&D is right across the street - def pick up some munchkins!!) This place isn't the best, but for $63, I didn't have high expectations going in. Check in was easy, but when I got into the room, it smelled like a soggy old cigarette-filled casino. I gave Budget Inn Flaggstaff a 5-star rating because of the staff and rooms. The staff (especially Mano and Grizelda - front desk) were very friendly and understanding. We had already paid for 2 nights, but on the 2nd morning we had to run down to phoenix for a few days. We were already an hour passed check out, yet they let us move the "2nd night stay" to a few days out. And they didn't even blink and eye or hassle me at all. I will definitely be staying here again as I visit my son for the next 2 years of college. The rooms are very clean, and comfortable. Nice amenities: Air-conditioning, Free WiFi, medium fridge, microwave, 32"TV, dresser, roomy sink area, tub/shower-clean. Like everyone else, it is very clean and very friendly staff. There is nothing special, they do not have a coffee maker which would have been nice. But it is excellent for the price. I also look forward to seeing Raj , after the other people's reviews. I wanted to see if he was like they said. I went in the morning to get coffee in the morning and he was there. I was surprised, he said good morning and offered to make fresh coffee for me. Where to begin ? Well, first off I can't begin... cause when I went to inquire about a room and ask the front desk clerk if he has a room available he said , "yeah" like that in his authentic Indian accent. I asked may I look at the room, so I can especially see the bed ( which I told him as I was also parked in the handicap spot with placard on mirror, that I have a bad back and also have been on the road for a little over 4 hours & in pain), the reason I even stopped in Flagstaff on my way to Moab, Utah from Lake Havasu City, AZ. He said NO ! I'm like why not ? "Well, we have kids and people come here and mess the bathroom and beds ? I'm taken aback a bit. So I counter with, why don't you escort me to the room which was right to the left of the lobby so he can see I'm not there to do anything but check out the quality of the room/bed. He still said NO. So, it got me thinking what if I pay for the room I said and am unhappy will you refund my money, he dismissed it with NO again-and said OK NO ROOM AVAILABLE. I never dealt with such a POS like that who's running an establishment like this and just turned away a customer like this. Mind you I'm there alone in my late 50s driving a new car dressed well and was well mannered this whole time. I was shocked to say the least. I say are you the owner he said yeah. I'm like and that's how you treat potential customers ? He couldn't give a damn. I shook my head and told him what a PoS I thought of him and he called me a F--K-R and grabbed a cigarette and followed as I was walking out of the lobby to my car and stood there smoking as I met a couple and told them what I just encountered to see if they were staying there, which they just booked a room through what they believe was his wife and said she was rude, but there weren't many rooms around and they were in town for school graduation. He even tried to say something to them and they blew him off as they went to their room shaking their heads at him. Well, I drove off and went to Travelodge down the street and mentioned it to the clerk ad described him and my encounter. They said, oh that's Raja or Raj, he's not the owner he's just a clerk or manager who use to work there. Said oh he's terrible. Not the first time he's been like that. They know the owner and gave me his number because I want him to be aware. By the way he also said check yelp if I want to see how this place is. So, here i am and I look at the reviews and they're 2,3,4 years ago, especially the pictures posted. I wouldn't give this place a penny now after that encounter. All, because I wanted to look at a room before booking. Buyer beware. If it's shady you know something isn't right. I did call and it sounded as if that number went to him the clerk and I said is this the owner and he said no he's out of town for the month. I was extremely disgusted with the level of cleanliness of my hotel room. The night that we checked in I noticed that there was hair under the sheets which made me question if they were even washed/ changed after the last guest. I put the " do not disturb" sign on my door because I do not like the maid service in my room while I am not there. Despite the sign they still came into my room made the bed (without changing the sheets because my mascara was still on the pillow). They also used a hand towel to clean off my sink then proceeded to fold it back in the fancy pattern they use and hang it back up on the rack to use again. How did I know you ask? My boyfriend shaved that morning and left stubble on the sink the towel was covered in said stubble as well as the residual makeup from wiping my face earlier that morning. When we went to get new towels from the lobby the new ones also had hair on them. I get this is considered a budget motel but I feel like I need to burn my clothes in fear of bringing home bed bugs and check for lice. I never typically stay in motels but this unfortunately was the only option that I had. read more

Reserved this hotel for Valentine's/President's Day weekend after seeing hiked up prices for other hotels. Did not want to pay over $300 for 2 days especially when we weren't planning on spending that much time indoors. I'm not going to lie I was definitely hesitant booking this hotel since I am used to staying in 3star plus hotels. Which really only means you get more amenities. We were pleasantly surprised at how clean rooms were upon entering. It was actually cleaner than some of the pricier places I've stayed at before. This hotel is ran and maintained by the couple that owns it. It also has free Wi-Fi which was nice. I did take one star off because it is on a busy street and so we occasionally heard sirens and some street noise. I would definitely reserve again though! read more

Now I'm spending a sleepless night because every time the heater kicks in it sounds like someone is hitting it with a cast iron frying pan. I'm turning the heater off, suffering the cold, and asking for a refund in the morning. Update: Ok, they didn't seem to care too much about fixing the heater for the next person, but maybe they will. Five stars for a budget inn, though clearly not a 5-star hotel. This is a budget inn so few amenities, but the nicest I've ever stayed in for this price. Owners are kind, welcoming, and helpful. Ideal location after coming in from the woods - a nice place to rest your head, get cleaned up, and relax. The entire motel is non-smoking, the rooms are clean, no bedbugs (and yes, I checked thoroughly!) For me, I'm the type of person who doesn't mind being dirty, but can't stand being filthy; I would rather camp in the woods than be in a motel where you walk in and the air in the room feels gross. This place has become a two-day home for me, and just what I needed to regroup before re-joining society. Also, a Safeway grocery and an clean, all-machine-working Laundromat are just around the corner! read more

Convenient location, decent bed, cleanliness, nice amenities including a digital TV, free wifi, microwave and good sized refrigerator, and, accommodating and friendly staff. We had an overnight stay at Budget Inn. I was looking for a cheaper motel but not too cheap. You get what you pay for! I booked at Budget Inn because of the reviews on yelp and booking.com. I'm very wary of staying in hotels/motels now because of bedbug issues. I was very pleasantly surprised!! I believe Budget Inn has been renovated although not sure how long ago. Our room was very clean and decorated nicely(in the usual motel way) but for $72 I was very happy with my choice. And yes I did look for bedbugs. I did not find any in my room. It was quiet and the room included a fridge, a microwave, free wifi and the tv had a good amount of cable channels including HBO. There are many business within walking distance including food establishments, Walgreens, and a Barnes & Noble. Even the road to Lowell Observatory was just a short way down Milton Road. And no train noise. I would definitely stay here again!! read more

First off I will never stay here again, dirty walls, dirty stained carpet, lighting was so dim you could not read, there was no alarm clock, no coffee pot in the rooms, had to go down to the office for coffee 1st day had to ring the bell to get in, the door was locked, then if we wanted decaf they had packages to make instant decaf, (so wrong), no continental breakfast at all, the light fixture over the sink had dead fly's (bugs) in it, loud air conditioner, when we checked out they never asked how our stay was, because they don't care, it might be cheaper then other hotels, but others at lease give a continental breakfast, so as far as I,m concerned they really are not that cheap, so 2 very disappointed lost customers read more
