Easy check in, upgrade to view of the Peaks. Nice property downtown Flagstaff close to bars and restaurants. American Legion Post within a block and features Bingo Wednesday night at 6pm.

Stayed at the Residence Inn in Flagstaff AZ. The location is in a nice area with restaurants and entertainment within walking distance. The rooms are decent but the 1 bdrm suite showers are not designed well. I found out every 1 bdrm suite has an accessible (handicapped) shower which is not good and with no lip at the entry where the pan meets the floor allows water to flow all over the floor creating a safety issue. I mentioned it to the front desk and was told by the representative that it would be reported to management. Parking is accross the street with limited parking behind the hotel. The breakfast was nice and all of the staff were friendly and professional. Recommended.

I stayed one night in a studio king, which was super clean and nice, not to mention quite large. It felt like a waste to just stay one night because it was such a comfortable home base. There was a decent kitchen, large seating area with lots of couch space, a comfy bed, and a vanity area between the bedroom and bathroom. The shower was large with good water pressure and tons of hot water. The hotel was also very quiet. Other than a few sounds of doors shutting in the hallway, I heard nothing while there. It is also at an amazing location that is walkable to all the downtown Flag stuff. I was able to park and walk everywhere. Unfortunately you are charged $9/night for parking, but it is so well located that the cost is worth it. The morning breakfast is a decent mixture of hot and cold items, as well as waffle makers (always a favorite). They even have a small convenience store type area to pick up snacks or other things you might need. It is a pricey stay, but worth it.

Stayed here for a night, and I was quite pleased with the accommodations. The front desk staff were nice and always smiling. The breakfast was good, and I loved the sausage gravy. It went well with the biscuit. Our room was huge. We had a full kitchen and a living room. The only negative about the room accommodation is the shower. Even though the shower head was facing down, the water still splashed out, and the floor was wet. The fitness room was clean, and we enjoyed our time at the pool. For some reason, I didn't find a shower in the area unless it was in the restroom that was locked. I'm used to getting yourself wet prior to entering a pool. Overall, it's a great spot, and there's 2 areas to park if you have a vehicle.

Very convenient and clean hotel in Flagstaff. We had double queen suite with full kitchen. Beds were comfortable, service was excellent including indoor heated pool, gym and free continental breakfast. Breakfast was so so but they had fresh waffle maker. There is parking lot in the back and front of hotel with $9 daily fee. I would stay here again when I'm in the area. Highly recommend.

Great dog friendly hotel in downtown Flagstaff! Super convenient to walk to lots of restaurants and cafes. There's a park across the street too if your dog prefers grass over sidewalk. The hotel room was really clean and spacious. It was a lot more than I expected for a 3 star hotel. Service was kind and quick - they accommodated my late check out request and gave my dog some treats! I did originally request a 4th floor room a few dats prior but they gave me a first floor room which was fine although I think my dog barked more with all the first floor foot traffic. The free breakfast is pretty good for American hotel standards. Eggs, potatoes, two types of sausage, full oatmeal bar, variety of yogurts and fruits, lots of breakfast breads and pastries. Waffle making station was fun. They also have a 24hr coffee and fruit water station which was nice. FYI parking is $9/night and a permit lasts 24hrs. So you can still leave your car parked or go in and out after you check out as well. I did find our room and pet fee a bit pricey but I guess you're def paying for convenience!

I can count on Marriott to be a great place to stay no matter where I go. I stayed here this past weekend, and it definitely met my expectations. This hotel is located in downtown Flagstaff within walking distance to so much (restaurants, shops, nightlife). The employees I interacted with were all friendly and helpful. The hotel and my room were nice, modern and clean. I stayed in a king room, which was plenty big, especially for just myself. I was on the second floor and near the elevators. It luckily was more of a quiet room, but not perfectly quiet - I could hear some noise from surrounding rooms and people in the hall. However, it was quiet overall. I sleep with a white noise app, so that took care of any noise. I did not hear any noise from outside, which was nice considering there was a bar outside of the room I was in. I was tempted to knock a star off my review for the following reason - the pillows! I don't get that most hotels' pillows suck. When you lay down on the pillows, it squishes down and becomes hard. It is so uncomfortable. I should have called the front desk to ask for a different pillow, which sometimes they have. I ended up using the spare comforter in the closet folded up as a pillow. They have free breakfast in the morning, which is your typical items like eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes/waffles, toast, muffins, cereal, fruit, etc. The staff were attentive and helpful. There are two different parking lots for the hotel. One in the back and the other across the street from the front. I parked in the one in the back that is connected to the hotel. You must put the parking pass in your car to be visibly seen. Overall, I enjoyed my quick stay and will stay here again, except I will bring my own pillows next time!

This newer Residence Inn is in a great location in downtown Flagstaff close to many restaurants, bars, and retail (see one caveat below). We were able to check in early which was nice though once again we were unable to get an upgrade as a platinum member. The front desk did comp the parking at least. The parking behind the building felt more secure than the lot across the street though you had to navigate a series of one way streets to get into the lot. The room was very nice and up-to-date and laid out well though the bathroom is inefficient for two people. Considering this is a newer hotel I was surprised that the sound insulation on the south facing rooms was not better because it was easy to hear the nearly non-stop rumble of the trains passing through town just two blocks away. The breakfast was definitely nicer than other similar Marriott properties we stayed at on this trip (Springhill Suites). I would stay here again but in a north facing room.

View from the lovely outdoor covered porch (with a cozy gas fireplace) at the Residence Inn Flagstaff.

Yes, there is a utility surcharge fee 7.77 per night regardless of where you book, but after taxes and fees, it was still less than $100! This is a solid choice if you don't plan on spending your time at the inn. My bed was comfortable, the room was clean (even though it had the scent of yesteryear), the employees I interacted with were all helpful, the parking was ample, and yes... you can walk across the parking lot to Porky's to grab a pitcher. There's also a gas station mini mart that's close. And yes, there are a few not so glamorous aspects of staying here. The walls are thin, and you'll hear every loudmouth in the hallway, as well as every footstep of the behemoths staying above you. The shower pressure could be considered in the "spittle" family. The jacuzzi is located inside a small building to the back of the pool, and elicits smells of those childhood days spent at the YMCA. The pool is pretty nice if you find yourself there alone... but don't get too comfy, because a large troupe of teenagers with awkward social skills is heading your way. And so is that creepy old man who stares at you with a towel draped over his head, as if that really conceals his disturbingly unending gaze. And don't forget that young boy, who loves repeatedly jumping into the shallow end, with a splash that never seems to miss hitting you, where ever you may be. No Pets Allowed. Smoke free property

Blue, the front desk associate, has some of the worst communication skills I've seen in customer…read moreservice. He is extremely hostile and quick to raise his voice to yell at customers. He seems mentally unbalanced and is not a good face for the business. I made a reservation online and arrived with a small camper in tow. Blue immediately assured me that it wouldn't be possible for me to park anywhere on the premises, though I'd already paid to stay the night. When I asked "surely you aren't that busy, the parking lot has many open spaces", he raised his voice to yell at me that as a policy they do not accept oversized vehicles and I needed to find somewhere else to stay. I am a young woman traveling alone and grown men yelling at me is scary, so I left the premises to find another hotel to stay at. I called the agency I booked the hotel through to cancel the reservation. Blue reassured them on the phone that he can't do a refund because one guest can only take up 2 parking spaces. My car and camper can detach and take up exactly 2 spaces. This detail would have been helpful to hear initially instead of being yelled at and shooed away so I could resolve the situation. Because I booked another hotel room at Blue's insistence, and then he refused me a refund. I returned to the hotel to clarify with Blue that I would have liked to know the bit about being able to take up 2 parking spots because I could have fixed the problem and stayed there instead of paying for 2 hotels, but he started raising his voice at me, telling me the blatant lie that he "was trying to tell me that, but I wouldn't listen", and continued to scream at me to get off his property. As long as this man is working here, I'd recommend staying far away from this business. I've added some photos of the space in the parking lot for reference.

The staff when I arrived was nice and welcoming. Lee was working and she's absolutely wonderful. This being said- I switched rooms three times within the first 10 minutes. First room was cleanish but smelled of smoke and although it's listed as smoke free- the room next to it was cracked a foot and there was a man smoking in his doorway. The second rooms beds were made but the bedding was unusually wrinkled, I pulled both back and there was body fluids and tons of hair all over the sheets. The third room that we actually stayed in under the repeated phrase of "it's just one night and we don't have to shower", the linens were clean but it was gross. Phone had dirt all over it and was sticky, there was crumbs all over the floor (didn't realize it until I took my socks off and walked to the bathroom and then we put shoes on anytime we walked on the floors afterwards), there is dirt build up everywhere and in every nook and cranny of the room, it looks like at one point they painted or resealed bathtubs and they are all peeling, there is stuff wiped all over the walls, the elevator/stairs/everywhere that's a common area is gross. The people diagonal under us were outside drinking and being loud until at least 2am. Never again. I already cancelled our two upcoming reservations we had there.

We paid for a 6 night stay. The next room they moved us to was much better. The microwave was clean and the fridge worked. Turned on the "fan" and the room cooled to near freezing. We stayed our 6 nights. I believe this place has a long term stay area were there are sketchy people that I see holding signs on street corners. And I firmly believe they have substandard conditions there because they claimed their air conditioning was broken. Maybe in that one building but no fan will ever cool a room to near freezing. That's air conditioning. I believe they have a guest section where everything works and then a long term stay where they could care less that anything works.
