We had a great stay here. The lady at the front desk was very friendly and accommodating. She had also just made cookies for the guests. What a nice welcome. The rooms and hotel were very clean. We loved our view of the town once the smoke subsided from the fire. The breakfast was fantastic and the wonderful woman that was stocking everything and cleaning was friendly and efficient. Parking across the steer works but there is a little parking lot attached to it in the back. That made for easier access to the back rooms as well. The location is in the middle of everything so it's an easy walk to restaurants and shops. Overall great experience read more

I give it 2 stars. One star for location. Perfect for downtown . One star for cleanliness. After that... zero stars. Front desk.. useless. Not only do they not know how to re-key for a late check out... they don't know how to say hello, welcome, thank you for being a Platinum member. Terrible. TV didn't work upon arrival... no I'm sorry.. nothing. Honestly.. this property does not represent the normal Marriott property. Stay at the Rodeway Inn. It's right next door. They are so happy to have you. I never needed the giant refrigerator/oven/Dishwasher. Never ate one breakfast. Coffee was dismantled at exactly 9:30 am. Even in a Saturday. Ridiculous. If you want your stay in flagstaff ruined...stay here Went to check in on Friday evening where we reserved a king bed studio, specifically, as that's the bed we have at home. We get to check in and after a 15 minute wait of all the staff going back and forth and involving a manager they let us know that "the morning shift didn't check out two of the king studio rooms" and therefor those rooms are dirty and why our reserved king studio room was not available. We had to take a queen bed room as that's all that was clean and after driving 2.5 hours up from the Phoenix metro this did not put a good taste in our mouths regarding Marriott, nor our flagstaff stay. So if you like making concessions on your vacation by all means stay at this place! read more

Stayed at the Residence Inn in Flagstaff AZ. The location is in a nice area with restaurants and entertainment within walking distance. The rooms are decent but the 1 bdrm suite showers are not designed well. I found out every 1 bdrm suite has an accessible (handicapped) shower which is not good and with no lip at the entry where the pan meets the floor allows water to flow all over the floor creating a safety issue. I mentioned it to the front desk and was told by the representative that it would be reported to management. Parking is accross the street with limited parking behind the hotel. The breakfast was nice and all of the staff were friendly and professional. Recommended. read more

I stayed one night in a studio king, which was super clean and nice, not to mention quite large. It felt like a waste to just stay one night because it was such a comfortable home base. There was a decent kitchen, large seating area with lots of couch space, a comfy bed, and a vanity area between the bedroom and bathroom. The shower was large with good water pressure and tons of hot water. The hotel was also very quiet. Other than a few sounds of doors shutting in the hallway, I heard nothing while there. It is also at an amazing location that is walkable to all the downtown Flag stuff. I was able to park and walk everywhere. Unfortunately you are charged $9/night for parking, but it is so well located that the cost is worth it. The morning breakfast is a decent mixture of hot and cold items, as well as waffle makers (always a favorite). They even have a small convenience store type area to pick up snacks or other things you might need. It is a pricey stay, but worth it. read more

This is probably the best national branded hotel in Flagstaff. It's clean, centrally located, with a stellar breakfast (I'm usually not a fan of hotel breakfasts, but this is much nicer than the typical scrambled eggs and toast fare) and very friendly staff. Our room was a king suite and had a full kitchen and living room with a great couch that our 2 year old liked to jump on. The hotel shares a parking lot with a great brewery/pizza joint, so it's easy to walk across the street if you arrive late to grab a snack. The entire downtown area is within walking distance, though, unlike the rest of the Hyatt/Marriott/Hiltons in Flag. Price can be a little high depending on the weekend, but it's a price I'd be willing to pay, especially if you have points lying around. read more

This is a 5 star experience. Very welcoming staff, great location, easy free parking. Rooms are updated and clean, fast wifi, smart TV. One of the best breakfasts for the hotels - large menum good choices. I asked for a little adjustment from the room service, they immediately responded. Good indoor pool. There is a bunch of vars, breweries and restaurants within 3 min walk. Can't say those were five stars but still offered reasonable choices. Life music on a small plaza two blocks away, good coffee and a huge selection of local beers - what else do we need? :) read more

They have a great location that is central and walkable to everything in town. The staff is very friendly. The rooms and hotel are clean. There is plenty of parking spaces. I did not eat the breakfast. They did have fresh baked cookies out in the afternoon that they then moved to the breakfast nook and people can take throughout the evening. read more

Stayed here for a night, and I was quite pleased with the accommodations. The front desk staff were nice and always smiling. The breakfast was good, and I loved the sausage gravy. It went well with the biscuit. Our room was huge. We had a full kitchen and a living room. The only negative about the room accommodation is the shower. Even though the shower head was facing down, the water still splashed out, and the floor was wet. The fitness room was clean, and we enjoyed our time at the pool. For some reason, I didn't find a shower in the area unless it was in the restroom that was locked. I'm used to getting yourself wet prior to entering a pool. Overall, it's a great spot, and there's 2 areas to park if you have a vehicle. read more

Very convenient and clean hotel in Flagstaff. We had double queen suite with full kitchen. Beds were comfortable, service was excellent including indoor heated pool, gym and free continental breakfast. Breakfast was so so but they had fresh waffle maker. Great dog friendly hotel in downtown Flagstaff! Super convenient to walk to lots of restaurants and cafes. There's a park across the street too if your dog prefers grass over sidewalk. The hotel room was really clean and spacious. It was a lot more than I expected for a 3 star hotel. Service was kind and quick - they accommodated my late check out request and gave my dog some treats! I did originally request a 4th floor room a few dats prior but they gave me a first floor room which was fine although I think my dog barked more with all the first floor foot traffic. The free breakfast is pretty good for American hotel standards. Eggs, potatoes, two types of sausage, full oatmeal bar, variety of yogurts and fruits, lots of breakfast breads and pastries. Waffle making station was fun. They also have a 24hr coffee and fruit water station which was nice. FYI parking is $9/night and a permit lasts 24hrs. So you can still leave your car parked or go in and out after you check out as well. I did find our room and pet fee a bit pricey but I guess you're def paying for convenience! read more

I can count on Marriott to be a great place to stay no matter where I go. I stayed here this past weekend, and it definitely met my expectations. This hotel is located in downtown Flagstaff within walking distance to so much (restaurants, shops, nightlife). The employees I interacted with were all friendly and helpful. The hotel and my room were nice, modern and clean. I stayed in a king room, which was plenty big, especially for just myself. I was on the second floor and near the elevators. It luckily was more of a quiet room, but not perfectly quiet - I could hear some noise from surrounding rooms and people in the hall. However, it was quiet overall. I sleep with a white noise app, so that took care of any noise. I did not hear any noise from outside, which was nice considering there was a bar outside of the room I was in. I was tempted to knock a star off my review for the following reason - the pillows! I don't get that most hotels' pillows suck. When you lay down on the pillows, it squishes down and becomes hard. It is so uncomfortable. I should have called the front desk to ask for a different pillow, which sometimes they have. I ended up using the spare comforter in the closet folded up as a pillow. They have free breakfast in the morning, which is your typical items like eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes/waffles, toast, muffins, cereal, fruit, etc. The staff were attentive and helpful. There are two different parking lots for the hotel. One in the back and the other across the street from the front. I parked in the one in the back that is connected to the hotel. You must put the parking pass in your car to be visibly seen. Overall, I enjoyed my quick stay and will stay here again, except I will bring my own pillows next time! read more

The hotel was great, the parking is fantastic and you are right there in the middle of the town. We walked all day to several parks, bars, restaurants and really enjoyed our stay. I'm a big Residence Inn fan and I've been to RIs in many states and all over the place. This is, hands down, the best one by far. Expectations were high after research into our stay in Flagstaff indicated this was one of the highest rated hotels in downtown. It was a little pricier than usual on the night of our visit but I pulled the trigger and splurged because it happened to be my birthday that evening. The best thing about this place is that the location is fantastic. It is literally right in downtown. Numerous bars, restaurants, a popular performance venue, are within a block and change away. There is also a ton of parking within a few steps from the entrance. Check in was seamless and quick. The elevators come quickly. Our room was right next to the elevator which greatly minimized the distance I had to drag my suitcases over that dreaded carpet but I was concerned about the possible noise. Fortunately, there was none. Our entire stay was very quiet. The room is massive. We didn't use anything in the kitchen but I noticed that it is absolutely stocked with most things you might need if you were planning on cooking. The bed is soft and cozy. The towels were incredibly soft. The shower was fantastic. The bathroom was also huge. The TV is also impressively large. The stay couldn't have been better. read more

This newer Residence Inn is in a great location in downtown Flagstaff close to many restaurants, bars, and retail (see one caveat below). We were able to check in early which was nice though once again we were unable to get an upgrade as a platinum member. The front desk did comp the parking at least. The parking behind the building felt more secure than the lot across the street though you had to navigate a series of one way streets to get into the lot. The room was very nice and up-to-date and laid out well though the bathroom is inefficient for two people. Considering this is a newer hotel I was surprised that the sound insulation on the south facing rooms was not better because it was easy to hear the nearly non-stop rumble of the trains passing through town just two blocks away. The breakfast was definitely nicer than other similar Marriott properties we stayed at on this trip (Springhill Suites). I would stay here again but in a north facing room. read more

This has been my away from home for years when traveling for work. The staff are always excellent. They hire well. The hotel is meticulously maintained, and it still feels new. Perfect for downtown walking access to restaurants and the Urban Trail System for a morning run. Bonus, they are dog friendly. There's always lots of cuter puppers in the lobby and elevator with wagging tales and big smiles, waiting to be pet. read more

This is a great hotel. The staff at breakfast does at great job--and the food at breakfast is varied and of good quality. The lobby has cozy seating areas and the outdoor covered porch has a gas fireplace and plenty of seating. The laundry is handy. The rooms are spacious and well-appointed. The maid service is great. We really enjoyed sitting outside by the fireplace. The proximity to the college and to lots of things to do--places to shop, dine and even the nearby library and farmer's market--really makes this a great location for a hotel. read more

First Rate Hotel in Downtown Flagstaff We are spending five nights here to escape the Phoenix heat at home. This Residence Inn is top notch in every regard. The rooms are spacious with many amenities. The free hot breakfast is the finest I've ever had this side of Europe. Every day includes new egg dishes, bacon, sausage or even pork chops, potatoes and some veggie hot dishes as well. Fresh fruit, muffins, bagels and varieties of breads are also available. Flew into Flagstaff from Napa with my buddy and we played our usual game of "hotel roulette" where we just make reservations on-the-spot when we land. This Residence Inn came up and for a darned good price, too, I might add! So we Ubered it over and got checked in very quickly. My room was on the first floor, just a couple doors away from their indoor pool (which I didn't use, but next time I'll remember to bring my bathing suit!). The room was HUGE and was basically a business suite with a nice kitchenette. The ceilings are very high, which adds to the spaciousness of the area. The bed was very comfy and I slept like a rock that night. :-) Wouldn't mind staying here again if I get the chance. read more

Made a last minute reservation for a last minute trip and from start to finish, the experience was overwhelmingly positive. Check in was quick and easy - the clerk supporting the front desk was knowledgeable and kind. They helped us get a parking pass ($9), and let us know that coffee and tea were available 24-7 and shared the complimentary breakfast hours. We were traveling in two parties and they made sure our rooms were close together, which was nice. The rooms themselves were quite spacious, and open. Our two-queen and sofa bed room could comfortably fit 5-6 people. Breakfast included plenty of options: hot items (eggs, sausage, turkey sausage, potatoes), cereal (with multiple milk options), oatmeal, yogurt/granola, pastry items, and waffles. It wasn't a fancy or super delicious breakfast by any means -- but it was complimentary, so expectations weren't too high. I stayed in the Studio 2 Queen Sofa Bed Suite and checked in early online, making key pickup at the lobby quick and easy. We were assigned a second-floor room near the elevators, which was quiet, clean, and very spacious--plenty of room to spread out. The suite had a full-sized refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, and a well-stocked kitchen with plates, cups, coffee mugs, wine glasses, silverware, mixing bowls, pots and pans, a wine bottle opener, vegetable peeler, cutting board, knives, spatula, salt, and pepper. The coffee machine only takes their specific pods, but when I asked the front desk for more, they provided them without any issue. The complimentary breakfast was fantastic and remained well-stocked even toward the end of service. They had yogurt, fresh fruit, oatmeal, bacon, eggs, and plenty of coffee with to-go cups, three types of creamer pumps, and individual creamer cups to take back to the room. The tea selection in the room was limited to black tea, but breakfast offered various tea packets that I brought back. The shower had consistently hot water with perfect water pressure--not too hard or too soft. The toilet is regular, not a bidet, and toilet paper was only 1 ply. The beds were soft, the blankets kept me warm, and the air conditioning worked well. They had plug ins by the beds for our phones and on the desk for my laptop, but they did not have any USB ports. For parking, the hotel has two lots--one next to the front entrance and another across the street. We were lucky to park in the front lot the entire week, even during Memorial Day weekend. There's also a lovely park across the street, where we enjoyed a picnic. The hotel is within walking distance of Heritage Square and the downtown shops. We saw a few homeless people walking around downtown, but it wasn't that bad, I saw several police also, so I still felt safe, even at night. The Wi-Fi worked great, and I didn't pay for the upgraded speed, yet I was still able to play video games on my laptop with no lag. The TV had local cable channels, and I noticed options for Netflix and Amazon Prime but didn't test them. We used the gym elliptical and hand weights, towels and hand sanitizer, it was very clean. We also used the laundry facilities--both machines take quarters only at $2.50 per wash and $2.50 per dry ($5 total). The front desk only accepts cash for quarters, but there's an ATM in the lobby. They also sell detergent at the little front lobby store, and the wash cycle is 30 minutes, while drying takes 45 minutes. We did not use the pool or hot tub, but they looked nice. The little front lobby store was well-stocked with toothpaste, toothbrushes, aspirin, eye drops, popcorn, snacks, drinks, and other essentials. Rude staff, loud AC = we will never stay here again. We arrived and upon checking into our rooms were met with the loudest AC unit I've ever heard. The sound pressure was so intense I had to leave the room. When I asked for another room I was met with a rude condescending front desk staff, that was anything but helpful. Upon reviewing Yelp after our incident, one of the first reviews states the room is it done UNTIL the AC kicks in and it's unbearably loud. Our current rooms AC is not as loud as our first room but it's still loud. We called the front desk to get an extra set of sheets for the pullout sofa and was met with another front desk staff that was equally rude to the person I dealt with earlier in the day. The Marriot should be ashamed to have such a terrible staff running their hotels. We stay at resorts and hotels all over the world and the front desk staff at this location is one of the worst we've encountered. It should also be noted that the pullout sofa bed size is not stated on the website and it turns out its a single sleeper. We're a family of four and the king sleeper sofa couch room cannot accommodate us. this is totally unacceptable. We've been on a road trip for the past week and we've never had a pullout sofa that sleeps only ONE person!!! If you're traveling with kids and a pet (pet fee $100) you might want to look elsewhere. Very unhappy customer! Never staying at a Marriott hotel again after this. read more

Horrible rude staff. Really went out of their way to be as unhelpful and nasty as possible. There are many hotels in Flagstaff, this one should be a pass. Also beware the AC is so loud and has an unbearable low frequency that will make you feel like it's some intentional form of sound torture. There is no way around the sound if you would like to have a comfortable room temp. Also pull out sofa is a twin size, so families beware! No where does it list the size, note this as the sofa itself is very large and could easily accommodate a full or a Queen, but when you pull out the bed it's a twin. Also they charge $110 a night for one dog, which is higher than any hotel I've ever stayed at in any city. Even San Fran hotels charge less, $75 should be the max! Absolutely ridiculous for a stay less than 24 hours long! Check in 4 and chock out 10! Really awful :( read more

The front desk staff was friendly and welcoming. The room was surprisingly large and well appointed with a full kitchen and office area. The bathroom was huge. Everything was modern. The breakfast (included) was the BEST breakfast I've had included with a stay anywhere. The staff took our plates and kept the buffet fully stocked. The cleaning staff kept the entry cleared of snow and ensured the interior entry was kept dry for safety. We were very impressed. This is a well managed hotel. read more

I realized when we got home back to Phoenix that Friday evening after checkout that we had forgotten my daughter's two stuffed animals that she sleeps with every night. They were wrapped up in the bedding. I called around 9 pm that night and spoke to a front desk associate. She checked the lost and found and didn't find our items but assured me she would leave a note for housekeeping and to call back the next day. I called again Saturday evening and a different associate looked in lost and found and housekeeping. She advised me that the items were not there and that housekeeping likely threw them away. I ask for a manager and she tells me there is no one on duty and to call again the next day. I call Sunday morning and speak to a supervisor or manager. She checks for the items again and with the housekeeping management and still the items are missing. I am informed that laundry is done in-house which means there are only three options: 1. The items are simply still lost in the laundry somewhere 2. The items were thrown away 3. The items were stolen At this point, naturally, I am extremely frustrated. How do you lose items within hours of us checking out? How are they still lost after I have called so many times? I am told to call the general manager the next day. I call Monday morning and I leave voicemails for the general manager. The front desk associate also assured me he left a note for the GM. I don't hear anything so I call again Thursday morning. Finally, I am connected with the GM and explain the situation. He checks for the items again and with management and the items are still missing. He explains to me that it is likely the items were thrown away because often times people don't call for their missing items. What?? To say I am shocked and absolutely furious is an understatement. I would have expected more from a Marriott property. I was given a credit for the stay but it doesn't change the fact that my daughter asks for her stuffed animals every night. Please make sure you collect all of your items here at checkout because you will likely never see them again. 2/15 UPDATE: I had spoken to the GM on 1/26 and he was issuing a full refund for everything that happened. Well, I still haven't received it and contacted Expedia directly who we booked through. Turns out the GM has not issued my refund. I am shocked that this hotel has as many good reviews as it does. This has been the worst hotel experience I have ever had. read more

This was actually a great place to stay! It's very new and in a prime location in downtown Flagstaff. The historic hotels are fun but with this place you get a full kitchen and it's much more quiet and peaceful without a loud bar downstairs. The bed and pillows were very comfortable and you also get a free breakfast. We noticed there was no safe in the room which was a bummer because we wanted to leave our valuables in it while we attended a wedding. We also had an odd little mishap where housekeeping walked into our room 15 minutes after checking in. I had just finished changing clothes so luckily none of my lady bits were showing. It sure surprised me to see the door open though! All in all it was a great stay and worth the price for sure. read more

I am no Karen, I am a Sharon. I am going to be Sharon with you, what a great experience we had at Residence Inn Flagstaff! PERFECTION! The hotel is spotless, the lobby area, breakfast area, pool, gym and our room all very clean! We had a studio on the 1st floor. The ceilings were very high, which made the room feel big! We had 2 queen beds and a pull out couch, which was great for us, our teen daughter and our little dog. The breakfast buffet is substantial! 4 hot offerings, assortment of breads, bagels etc... Waffle stations, fresh fruit, yogurt, oatmeal, granola, cereal, hard boiled eggs, so much variety!! The staff were super friendly, too!
